Polo G’s Mom Confirms She Bonded Out Her Son

Earlier today, we reported news that Polo G was arrested following the release of Hall Of Fame. The rapper was in Miami where he was hosting his album release party but ended up in jail. More details have since emerged with Polo’s mom, Stacia Mac, confirming that she had bonded out everyone that was involved in the arrest. “I have tbaby. I’ve bonded out Polo and everyone. I’ve also, of course, notified my attorney. I’ll be relieved when I have everyone out of jail safely. Thank you guys for your support,” she wrote on Facebook.

Prior to that, she informed her Facebook followers that Polo G, his sister, girlfriend, brother, and the security team were among those that were taken into custody. “They are all being detained. Still in jail. No clue what they are being charged with,” she wrote.

Mac was on Instagram Live while the rapper was getting arrested, revealing that she wasn’t allowed to see her children including Polo’s minor brother. The rapper was charged with battery against a police officer, resisting officer with violence, criminal mischief, public servant/influence performance, and resisting officer without violence.

“None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done,” Mac said of the charges on Twitter.

Law enforcement sources close to TMZ claimed that the Miami cop who was allegedly assaulted was “pummelled by Polo with his elbows,” causing lacerations. What police officials didn’t apparently tell TMZ is why Polo G was pulled over. Stacia Mac said that the driver of the vehicle Polo was in accidentally swerved and cut off an officer which caused the car to get pulled over. Apparently, it was Polo G and the passengers who were taken away in cuffs, rather than the driver.

LeBron James Quotes “Tuscan Leather” After Night Out With Drake

Last night, LeBron James, Drake, JR Smith, and Jared Dudley turned Sierra Canyon’s championship game into a star-studded affair as they were all in attendance to cheer on Bronny James Jr. Bronny had been out all season with a meniscus tear and luckily, he was able to come back just in time for a very pivotal game. While Sierra Canyon ultimately lost, Bronny made his presence be felt, much to the light of Drake and LeBron.

Drake was particularly active during the match and at one point, he got into it with the referee. LeBron seemed to be amused by the whole thing, especially with the camera catching the whole thing. Today, LeBron immortalized his courtside appearance with Drake by posting a photo to Instagram, with some lyrics from the song “Tuscan Leather.”

“I’m tired of hearin’ ’bout who you checkin’ for now/ Just give it time, we’ll see who’s still around a decade from now,” LeBron wrote. While Sierra Canyon may have lost, there could still be some tournaments on the horizon, and if so, it will be interesting to see how Bronny and his teammates do.

As for Drake’s attendance, it might be a while before we see him back in the Sierra Canyon gym.

‘The Fours’ Rap Group Arrested For Murder Of Rival Louisiana Rapper: Report

Unfortunately, gun violence has only increasingly grown as a long-standing fixture in the hip-hop community. In Louisiana, two members of local rap group The Fours were arrested recently after the duo were allegedly involved in the murder of a rival Lousiana rapper.

According to reports, Tauj Chardez Taplin and Quardavion Tyvon White were arrested after Taplin allegedly shot and killed fellow LA native 19-year-old Michael Brock in Bogalusa, Louisiana on June 7. He then fled with White, who is allegedly tied to Chicago’s Gangster Disciples. The two were then involved in a high-speed chase with officers as they attempted to flee to Texas, eventually being arrested outside of Lake Charles, LA.

Brock, who was a member of the rap group Three-13, was hiding in an apartment with a 7-year-old relative of his significant other when he heard a knock at his door. When he opened the door, he was sprayed with bullets from an AR-15 assault rifle. He died at the scene after being struck multiple times. The child was unharmed during the altercation.

Both White and Taplin are facing second-degree murder charges plus charges relating to fleeing from officers in Texas.

There’s no word yet on if the two will be offered bail

Drake Argued With A Referee During A Basketball Game For LeBron James’ Son

Aside from being one of the most popular rappers in the world, Drake is also an avid basketball fan. From frequently appearing courtside at Toronto Raptors games to hooping with NBA players and friends in the basketball court he had built inside his Toronto mansion, his love for the game is clear. So it comes as no surprise that the rapper stopped by a game for LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, on Friday night.

Bronny finally made his sophomore year debut with the Sierra Canyon School’s high school basketball team after he missed most of the season following surgery for a torn meniscus. Drake’s fandom for the game became very clear when he got into an argument with a referee during the matchup against Corona Centennial High School. Video of the interaction was captured by some in attendance and it shows Drake clearly frustrated with something the ref did. The conversation didn’t last long, and the rapper returned to his seat just seconds later.

Drake went to the game with LeBron himself, as well as JR Smith, Jared Dudley, his son Adonis, and more. Drake rocked a Bronny James jersey in the video for his 2019 track, “Money In The Grave,” with Rick Ross. As for the game, Bronny’s Sierra Canyon team unfortunately lost to Corona Centennial by a score of 80-72.

“Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide” Crew Come Down With “Explosive Diarrhea”

Crew members of NBC’s game show “Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide” were sent slipping and sliding to nearby port-a-potties after they contracted the gastrointestinal parasite giardia on the set of the show’s new season. The parasite, which causes an infection in the intestine, caused the entire set to shut down as lucky crew members raced to bathrooms and unlucky ones collapsed in stomach pain. The hosts, Bobby Moynihan and Ron Funches, have tested negative for the parasite.

Production of the new season paused on June 2nd after the first positive case was reported. The parasite, which travels through drinking water and person-to-person contact, was then tested for in the set’s pond, pools, and restroom sinks. One positive test returned.

Giardia most commonly causes intense stomach pain and diarrhea in those infected, making for not only uncomfortable symptoms but a painful experience for members of the crew. Universal Television Alternative Studios, which manages the production of the show under NBC, maintains that the health and safety of their crew are a top priority. Though they have only one week left to shoot out of the seven allotted weeks, the production company is weighing when to resume filming and if they have to choose a new location.

With the nature of the parasite and the name of the show, the jokes certainly make themselves. Share some of your favorites down below!

Rory & Mal Debut First Episode Of ‘New Rory & Mal’ Podcast

Rory Farrell and Mal Clay exited The Joe Budden Podcast earlier this year after Budden dramatically fired his co-hosts on air. Following the events–and tons of backlash aimed at the former Love & Hip Hop star from listeners and pop culture observers alike, Rory and Mal later hinted at joining forces for a new podcast.

The duo finally shared the first episode of New Rory & Mal today (June 12). The description for Episode 1 reads, “The boys catch up about their recent trip to L.A.” In the hour-long discussion, they touch on taking a few weeks off from podcasting while in LA, as well as other hot topics.

“I just kind of wanted to shut the f*ck up for a few weeks,” said Rory in the episode. “It was five years of non-stop talking. I was listening back to old episodes and I was like, ‘Yo, can this kid just shut the f*ck up?’ It was definitely a self-awareness time of a few weeks. I just don’t—my opinion shouldn’t be out there.”

They didn’t touch too much on their departure from their former co-host gigs, but they did talk about landing VIP in the club, Elon Musk, Floyd Mayweather fighting Logan Paul, Migos’ latest release, and more. They also gave a shoutout to Griselda and Freddie Gibbs, complimenting their exemplary rapping and how it can, “find the young kids.”

“Let’s try some different shit,” Mal said of their new show. “Let’s change the optics a little bit on this media culture or whatever you wanna call it.” They also explained how they hope to add more visual elements to their work this time to mix up their approach a bit.

Stephen A. Smith Declares Donovan Mitchell The Greatest Jazz Player Ever

Donovan Mitchell has been on an absolute tear throughout the NBA playoffs and he currently has his team in a position to make the Western Conference Finals. If the Jazz get there, they will most likely play the Phoenix Suns which will be a showdown between the top two seeds in the West. There is no doubt that Mitchell is a superstar in the league right now, and fans are eager to see what he can do when the pressure really starts to pile up.

Some pundits are already jumping the gun on Mitchell’s legacy, including Stephen A. Smith who made the claim this past week that Mitchell is the greatest player in the history of the franchise. This is a pretty bold claim especially when you consider how John Stockton and Karl Malone both made two consecutive NBA Finals together.

As soon as Smith made this claim, the clip went viral on Twitter and NBA fans had a lot to say about it all. They reminded Smith that Stockton is the all-time assist leader while Malone is second all-time in points scored. Both of these men were superstar-caliber players, and Mitchell still has a lot to do before he gets to their status.

Regardless, you can’t deny just how phenomenal Mitchell has been thus far. If he were to keep up this pace, then perhaps the Malone and Stockton comparisons will become just a bit more appropriate.

Polo G Was Arrested In Miami For Battery Against A Police Officer And Other Charges

This past weekend was supposed to be a celebratory one for Polo G, as the Chicago rapper released his third album, Hall Of Fame, on Friday. Unfortunately, the weekend festivities were cut short after the rapper was arrested in Miami. The incident occurred after an album release party for the new album. Polo G and his mom, Stacia Mac, who also doubles as his manager, were riding in a vehicle following the party when police officers pulled them over. The reason for officers stopping them is currently unknown, but whatever it was, it resulted in Polo G being placed under arrest.

According to The Miami Herald, as cops attempted to handcuff the rapper, an altercation between Polo G and Officer Brandon Carrero ensued. Officers Brandon Carrero and Joseph Acuna “ended up in a struggle on the ground,” with the rapper striking the officer in the head, chin, forehead, and cheek during the incident, according to the arrest report. Acuna witnessed Polo G on top of Carrero while swinging his elbows and making contact with the officer. Later, once Polo G was placed under arrest, he allegedly threatened the officer, saying, “I will kill you, I swear I will use these fists to beat the sh*t out of you and knock your ass out.”

Stacia Mac took to Twitter afterwards to accuse the officers of picking on her son. “None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!!” she wrote. “He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done.”

Polo G was booked into the Guilford Knight Correctional Center around 8:00 a.m. local time on Saturday. He was charged with battery against a police officer, public servant/influence performance threat, resisting an officer with violence, resisting an officer without violence, and criminal mischief. Polo G was later released after posting a $19,500 bond.
