On Dec. 28th, the legendary Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell, known for his roles as a rapper, author, philanthropist, and fighter against censorship, was honored on his 63rd birthday. The celebration marked a significant moment, likely the last during hip hop’s 50th-anniversary year, recognizing Uncle Luke’s substantial contributions to Florida’s rap culture.

Surrounded by friends, family, politicians, and local icons, including DJ Khaled, Trick Daddy, and Pitbull, Uncle Luke received accolades for his trailblazing artistry and advocacy for free expression.
