Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless had an interesting debate on Friday’s edition of Undisputed. The co-hosts were given a difficult question to debate on. They were asked who has had the better career. Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook? Sharpe brought up many statistics that some may not have known on the similarities between the two. Obviously, neither superstar has won the NBA Championship. However, both have a career resume that will have them in the Hall-of-Fame one day. But just whose career has been better?
Sharpe stated that the question was a difficult one to answer. But ultimately, Sharpe chose Westbrook. Sharpe stated that, in his opinion, Westbrook wasn’t supposed to have the career he has had. While Paul had high expectations from the moment he was selected. Westbrook has defied many odds during his 15-year career. Including becoming the MVP of the league. Sharpe is of the belief that Paul has answered the call on his expectations. But that doesn’t mean that is a slight to the Phoenix point guard. Paul’s expectations were high, and he has absolutely delivered. A fact that led Bayless into choosing Paul during the debate. No matter what side of the aisle you stand on, no one can debate their greatness. Westbrook and Paul will both go down as some of the greats of their generation.
