Post Malone Teases New Song, “Cemical,” Out Friday

Post Malone has confirmed that he’s dropping a new song titled, “Chemical,” on Friday. He shared a clip of himself listening to the upcoming track on social media, Wednesday. “Chemical” will be Malone’s first single since the release of his 2022 album, Twelve Carat Toothache.

“Chemical out friday,” Malone captioned the video. The post was met with plenty of excitement from fans and fellow artists alike. Ty Dolla Sign wrote in response, “Yea !!!!!! Let’s go.” Malone and Ty Dolla Sign previously collaborated on the single, “Psycho,” which just reached one-billion views on YouTube, earlier this week. As for fans, one commented: “Posty you never disappoint my guy.” Another further wrote: “Y’all already know that when the weather gets warmer, posty gonna bless us.”

At the time, he hinted at having a full collaborative album with Malone. “Me and Post, we got a whole project together like, you know what I’m sayin’, we just been cooking up,” Swae Lee said at the time. “That’s my bro. We been on tour together, we done it all. We got a project we could drop together right now if we wanted to.” He added: “I think we should just continue cooking up and seeing where it goes. The sky is the limit with that shit.”

Malone released his last album, Twelve Carat Toothache, back in June 2022. It featured collaborations with Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Gunna, Fleet Foxes, the Kid Laroi, and the Weeknd. The project debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, earning 121,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. In the time since, Malone and his girlfriend welcomed a daughter who was born sometime last year.
