Lil Durk Breaks Silence After Afterparty Shooting In Dallas

It’s been a massive year for Lil Durk who’s still riding out the success of The Voice. Unfortunately, in the midst of his career reaching new heights, he wasn’t able to entirely bask in the glory. The global pandemic made it impossible for rappers to make money at shows or club appearances because of the health risk but there are places that are welcoming rappers into their venues.

Last night, Lil Durk performed in front of a sold-out crowd in Dallas before hosting an afterparty at Pryme Night Club. Unfortunately, the evening ended with gunfire that left one person dead and seven others injured, according to NBCDFW. Police said someone opened fire into the crowd early Saturday morning. They discovered six people with gunshot wounds and two others who went to the hospital after the fact. 21-year-old Daisy Navarrette died at the hospital. Other victims are either in stable or critical condition. Authorities claim the incident occurred after the alleged shooter got into an argument with someone else in the club.

After the venue cleared out, there was a venue of a man heckling Lil Durk from afar. It sounds like the individual was a fan of FBG Duck since he continued saying, “Love live Duck.” “Durk talking bout he need no security,” the caption wrote on one slide. “That n***a run wit da truck he gone take a shot for that man. He get paid a good 20ball a night,” he added in another clip as he revealed how many security guards Durk was rolling with.

It seems like Durk has caught wind of the comments after the fact. The rapper took to Instagram where he addressed the viral video of the man clowning him from afar, writing, “Blogs make n***as look like killers out here and be real bitches don’t believe no stories bout me cause n***as know better in person y’all got the net,” he said.

ssgkobe And $NOT Collaborate For The First Time On “Calabasas”

Louisiana artist ssgkobe is definitely someone you’ll want to keep your eye on, as it seems like right now he’s being backed by some of the greats. Despite him being relatively new to the music scene, his collaboration with Florida rapper $NOT marks a major turning point in his career, and is a co-sign that could shoot him to stardom. Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade certainly sees potential in the 18-year-old rapper as well, as he directed the creative and experimental music video for “Calabasas.” BROCKHAMPTON member Kevin Abstract, an artist who is often known for boosting smaller creatives, is also featured in the video.

The mellow, chilled out single sees $NOT and ssgkobe hanging out with bad b*tches and checking other dudes. ssgkobe’s effortless flow and willingness to get creative gives us some insight into his vision as an artist and lets us know that he’s undoubtedly here to stay.

Don’t sleep on this track. Check out the song and the Lyrical Lemonade-directed music video below.

Quavo’s Sister Calls Saweetie A “Self Centered B*tch,” Aunt Jumps In To Defend Her

A few days ago, Saweetie and Quavo mutually unfollowed each other on social media, prompting fans to believe the rap couple had split up. This wasn’t confirmed until yesterday (March 19) when Saweetie took to Twitter to suggest Quavo’s infidelity was the reason behind their break up. Quavo himself chimed in on his social media with a few words of his own, and it looks like his family is right behind him to defend him. The Migos’ rapper’s sister Shara took to social media to defend her brother from the “bash fest” happening following his split from the “Best Friend rapper.”

“I have been quiet long enough…I see how this turning to a bash fest towards my brother and that ain’t about to happen at all none of y’all know how Saweetie is in real life but I do know and it ain’t good at all..”  penned Shara on her Instagram story yesterday. Catching wind of the message, Saweetie’s aunt Whitty jumped in to defend her niece.

“Now now! Do we need Whitty to start airing this MF out??? I’m not gone be half as nice as ol Shara,” fired Whitty. “What she not gone do is speak ill of my niece, I get very disrespectful about mine. Since we sticking our nose in other people business. first they love you then they hate you.”

She continued in another tweet, “Talkin bout she been quiet long enough. Girl it ain’t even been 24 hours. GTFOH.”

Shara clapped back at Whitty once again, this time making some very ill-mannered remarks about Saweetie. “Who is Whitty b*tch I don’t know sh*t bout you and you don’t know sh*t bout me but I do know yo niece is a self centered b*tch who [no] body likes!” wrote Whittty.

She continued to fire, “You wanna air this b*tch out run it h*e this ain’t what you want! Trust Me! Only reason I was nice to any of y’all h*es is because of Qua.”

It seems like Quavo and Saweetie’s breakup has become a family affair. We’ll keep you updated as the situation evolves.

Sheck Wes Is Back To His Unconventional Ways On “Unorthodox”

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly three years since Sheck Wes released his hit single, “Mo Bamba.” The song took over the globe and became nearly inescapable for months on end, though it’s unfortunate that it’s among the few major records from Sheck. Even though it seems that his career has been on a standstill since Mudboy, he’s continued to flood the streets with new music at whatever opportunity he can.

This week, the rapper quietly returned to Soundcloud for a muddy banger titled, “Unorthodox.” Produced by Redda, the rapper’s latest single is a riotous anthem with a sprightly flow that cuts through the rumbling 808s.

Check out the latest offering from Sheck Wes below and let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

bbno$ Gets Turnt On “bad to the bone”

Vancouver rapper bbno$ has been putting his best foot forward over the course of the past few years of his career. Projets like bb steps and Recess helped build his dedicated fanbase but it was his 2020 run that truly felt like a shift in his career. He became nearly inescapable as singles like “jack money bean” ft. Yung Gravy and lenta helped propel him towards the limelight.

This week, the rapper blessed us with his latest offering, “bad to the bone.” The rapper delivers an upbeat anthem that’s fitting for any house party with a cool, laidback flow that juxtaposes the jungle-influenced production.

“bad to the bone” follows the release of “help herself” ft. Diamond Pistols which served as his first drop of the year.

Check out his new single below.

Bfb Da Packman Delivers New Track “Federal”

Bfb Da Packman might not be the most lyrical rapper alive but he’s truly making a case for being among the funniest. The rapper has been making waves over the past year, even if he hasn’t released a project since 2019. Still, singles like “Honey Pack” and its remix, along with “Free Joe Exotic” with Sada Baby has made him into a viral sensation of sorts and he’s piggy backing the infamy into a bonafide rap career.

This week, the rapper returned with a brand new single titled, “Federal.” Sdotonatrack holds down the string-laden production while Bfb Da Packman offers a string of non-sequiturs and mind-boggling punchlines, including one that pays homage to Ari Fletcher. The music video for the song also showcases the rapper’s creativity as he recreates Martin Lawrence’s Life.

Yung Pooda & DreamDoll Grab Trey Songz For “Chicken N Grits Remix”

Yung Pooda and DreamDoll have remixed their popular track “Chicken N Grits,” this time featuring Trey Songz. The song talks about Yung Pooda and DreamDoll being miles ahead of their competitors, with Pooda saying he’s getting “hit after hit after hit.”

Houston rapper Yung Pooda is relatively new on the scene, with the first of his singles releasing in 2017. His most popular track, “Repeat Dat,” shows off his relaxed flow, garnering nearly 2.5 million streams since its release less than a year ago. Yung Pooda has found himself at a couple of crossroads throughout his career, with his primary struggles being with his emotions and staying off of the streets. In 2019, he made his full commitment to music and was signed by EMPIRE, which is when his career really began to take off.

Trey Songz is coming down from a massive year in 2020 where he released three albums, Anticipation 1, Anticipation 2, and Back Home. While he’s best known for nostalgic, early 2010s tracks like “Bottoms Up” and “Na Na,” the artist has shown in the last few years that he’s incredibly versatile and willing to adapt to a changing musical environment.

Listen to the track and watch the new music video below.

Cassidy Calls Out Hitman Holla After Heated Clash

While things in hip-hop do get dramatic, the world of battle rap can get a bit dangerous. We’ve all seen how things get when tensions rise, and just how far some of these battle rappers are willing to go. Last night, Rare Breed Ent. debuted a face-off between Cassidy and Hitman Holla ahead of their battle on April 3rd but things didn’t necessarily go as planned. In fact, things ended on a tense note after both Cass and Hitman Holla appeared ready to throw hands.

The two MCs debated their credibility and stance in the battle rap arena which led to both parties throwing shots at each other. That was to be expected but the energy in the room shifted entirely after Cassidy deemed Hitman “replaceable” on the April 3rd line-up. Cass has the bragging rights of an artist who has managed to return to the battle rap arena successfully while Hitman Holla’s track record includes wins against some of the biggest names in battle rap.

Eventually, the two rappers debated who had more successful careers. Cassidy swiftly reminded Hitman Holla that he was once his hypeman on Wild N Out. “Your views isn’t going to be your hypeman like you was my hypeman on Wild N’ Out.”

As the intensity grew, the two nearly came to blows as Hitman suggested that he would knock out Cassidy. Eventually, Hitman Holla suggested that he would “air out” the spot which prompted a hilarious breakdown of the situation from Cassidy.

“You runnin’ to act like you ’bout to get a bag. What are you doin’? First of all, you bluffin’, my n***a. Like, if you was there by yourself and your gat was in that bag — let’s be serious. Everybody actin’ like they can’t talk. You was acting like you was gonna grab the bag like you had a strap in it. So if you was there by yourself and you sayin’ I had 20 n***as with me, then I would’ve been wearing my bag,” Cass said.

Angelina Jolie Says She Has “Proof” That Brad Pitt Abused Her: Report

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorced in 2016 after being one of Hollywood’s most recognizable couples, earning the nickname “Brangelina.” It wasn’t until a year later in 2017 when Jolie opened up about the split, eventually opening up about some domestic abuse claims she allegedly faced at the hands of her ex. Their divorce saga has just come to another shocking turn, this time with the actress now claiming to have “proof and authority in support” of the alleged violence. She’s even ready to provide that evidence during their upcoming divorce proceedings.

According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, a filing submitted on March 12th states that Jolie is willing to testify about the alleged abuse along with testimony provided by herself and her 6 children: Maddox, 19; Pax, 17; Zahara, 16; Shiloh, 14; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. The documents themselves do not detail the alleged abuse, but a source close to Pitt has dismissed the claims as nothing more than another attempt to kick the Oscar winner while he’s already down.

“Over the past four and a half years there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated,” the insider told Us. “The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behavior. This leaking of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers has been done to hurt Brad.”

Shortly after their 2016 split, the FBI Department of Child and Family Services began investigating the actor regarding the child abuse claims made by Jolie. The agency eventually cleared the actor of all charges, and he spoke about the experience during his 2017 GQ cover story.

“I was really on my back and chained to a system when Child Services was called. And you know, after that, we’ve been able to work together to sort this out,” he said. “We’re both doing our best. I heard one lawyer say, ‘No one wins in court—it’s just a matter of who gets hurt worse.'”

He continued, “And it seems to be true, you spend a year just focused on building a case to prove your point and why you’re right and why they’re wrong, and it’s just an investment in vitriolic hatred. I just refuse. And fortunately my partner in this agrees. It’s just very, very jarring for the kids, to suddenly have their family ripped apart.”

Pitt is reportedly looking for 50/50 custody of the children.
