G4 Boyz Serve Up A Cold Banger With “Hmm”

G4 Boyz hasn’t released a project since 2017 when they dropped, The African Plug. They’ve been dropping music since 2013 but in the past year, it feels like they’ve even become an even stronger force, especially as they make more international connections. 2020 was a productive year that witnessed the success of several singles like “Prada” and its subsequent remix with DreamDoll as well as the success of “Local Scammer” which produced two remixes — one with Ivorian Doll, and another with Chief Keef.

Kicking things off for 2021 is their latest banger, “Hmm.” With a chilling drill beat backing them, G4 Boyz detail their lavish lifestyle filled with women, cash, and the finest luxuries one can indulge in.

Check out the single by the G4 Boyz below and sound off in the comments.

Drakeo The Ruler Talks Drake Collab & Not Changing His Lyrical Content After Jail Release

These first months of freedom have been a whirlwind for Drakeo The Ruler, but the rapper still finds it all to be a bit “weird.” Last week, the Los Angeles native released his The Truth Hurts project with a coveted feature from Drake, and according to Drakeo, he has six mixtapes already completed in the vault. We can expect to receive another album sometime this summer, but in the meantime, the rapper is still adjusting to day-to-day life.

Drakeo recently sat down with Rolling Stone where he discussed a myriad of topics, including working with Drizzy on their collab “Talk to Me.” He said, “I mean, I know how my fans is, and they don’t want to hear that [Lover Boy] sh*t, so I tried to make it to where it’s Drake’s singing and I’m on what he’s talking about, but in my own way.” Considering his music and lyrics were a significant focus for the prosecution in his previous case, Drakeo was asked if he’s even thought about changing the content to be less controversial.

“Yeah, people have told me before, but this is what got me here,” he said. “I mean, I always change it up, I change it up every mixtape, but with certain stuff, I don’t know what else I would do. What’ll I do, pop music? I just think of it as my way of explaining stuff: my reality or my imagination.”

Being released from jail during a pandemic in November 2020 was a shell shock, and as we’re coming out of the harsh restrictions set in place, Drakeo is beginning to feel a sense of normalcy. “It’s just kind of weird, because you can’t really do nothing,” he said. “It’s kind of crazy. I can’t really enjoy it, like how I was before this. It’s kind of cool though, too — gives me time to make more music.”

Flo Milli Gets Animated On “Back Pack (Flora The Explorer)”

Flo Milli’s on her way to the top. The rapper recently declared herself the “Princess Of Rap” which sparked a bit of a debate but she’s evidently putting in the work to back that as much as she can. The release of 2020’s Ho, why is you here? propelled her towards mainstream consciousness while singles like “Beef FloMix” and “In The Party” racked up millions of views on YouTube.

Last month, the singer slid through with the visuals for her latest single, “Roaring 20s,” an appropriate title for the times. She’s now followed it up with an homage to Dora The Explorer with her new loose release, “Back Pack (Flora The Explorer).” Sampling the show’s theme music, she unleashes her bubbly flow over poppy keys that she contrasts with the real reason she has a back pack.

Check it out below.

Quotable Lyrics
Red beam on the dog, when I aim I don’t miss
Don’t open your lip, ’cause I might just reach in my (back pack)
I snowed out my wrist, I got some new drip
Plenty racks in my new Gucci (back pack)

CyHi The Prynce Is Still Trying To Pull Joe Budden Out Of Retirement

CyHi The Prynce has many things on his mind these days. Earlier today, he issued a message to major record companies to partner in releasing “one of the greatest albums in music/rap history.” However, his recent appearance on the No Jumper podcast explored a lot of territory from his recent shooting to Kanye West and Drake’s beef. CyHi also revisited his previous wager for Joe Budden to come out of retirement for a rap battle with $500K at stake. Even though Joe is sitting comfortably as a media host, CyHi still has his sights set on seeing Budden on a Smack stage.

“Joe Budden really a fan of mines. He upset that he — he feel like my best friend won’t put me out,” he said, before detailing another tale about Kanye West. Adam22 brought the conversation back to the possibilities of a battle when CyHi insisted that he would destroy Joe. “I would demolish Joe Budden, though, to be honest,” he continued, explaining that he wants to do an acapella, bar-for-for battle to determine who the strongest lyricist is. “I need to look you in the face on Smack stage,” he said. “I got half a ticket.”

Adam then asked CyHi about whether he feels like Joe Budden is still an exceptional MC. “Absolutely, that’s why I know I’d destroy him. I study Joe Budden. I already know. He don’t know me, though. He don’t know how deep this — and then when I get into my feelings, like when I get into my — when Jesus lil’ nephew come out, he’ll have walked off the stage before I  know he’s off the stage,” CyHi said.

CyHi The Prynce said this message isn’t just for Joe Budden but any rapper that dares test his pen. Check the interview out below with the Joe Budden bit beginning around the 1:18:00 mark.

Grimes Sold $5.8 Million In Crypto-Art In 20 Minutes: Report

Art dealing is one of several ways that the elite stay in their tax brackets, but not many are auctioning off their own creations. Grimes and Elon Musk are viewed as an eccentric couple with the world’s resources at their fingertips, and their moves—both business and creative—have proven to be lucrative, including Grimes’s latest that made her nearly $6 million richer. Recently, Grimes created a set of digital artworks and auctioned them off to the highest bidder. They’re described as NFTs—or non-fungible tokens including films, clips, images, poems, and the like—and they fetched the musician and artist a pretty penny.

The art project, dubbed the WarNymph Collection Vol. 1, was a collaboration between Grimes and her brother, Mac Boucher. A video titled “Death of the Old” was a hot commodity as it was the subject of a bidding war that resulted in a selling price of $400K. Shorter video pieces like “Earth” and “Mars” sold for $7,500 and within two days sold 300 copies.

“Newborn” depicts a child that many believe is an interpretation of Elon and Grime’s infant son, X Æ A-Xii. It has reportedly been relisted for sale at $2.5 million. In all, in under twenty minutes, it’s reported that Grimes made $5.8 million from the crypto-art sale. Check out a few of the pieces below.

Lil Durk Announces Release Date For OTF “Loyal Bros” Compilation Tape

Durk’s ability to turn around music is probably one of his most impressive traits as a rapper. The rapper turns out music at a pretty rapid rate for someone who’s only gotten better with time and he has been around for a while. This August will mark the 10-year anniversary of I’m A Hitta and 2021 was already claimed as his year by the time we closed out ’20.

The Voice was worth the wait and the deluxe surprisingly complimented the OG version but Durk isn’t slowing down. The rapper’s been readying the release of a brand new Only The Family compilation tape. The crew dropped their last compilation project, Family Over Everything in 2019, and then, of course, Durk’s monstrous 2020 run occurred. On Friday, they’ll be coming through with Loyal Bros, Durk and OTF confirmed on Instagram.

Durk has a lot of projects in the cut right now. Along with the compilation tape, he recently teased the possibility of doing a joint project with Lil Baby. It’s unclear whether this will actually happen but the people appear to be prepared for a full-length collab album between the two rappers.

Additionally, Lil Durk is already hinting at his forthcoming collaborative project with Metro Boomin’ titled, No Auto Durk. No release date has been set but Durk appears to be in go-mode.

Boosie Speaks On Gucci Mane Dissing Jeezy’s Dead Friend In Verzuz Battle

DJ Vlad’s latest interview with Boosie Badazz has unearthed no shortage of gems, as the vocal Baton Rouge rapper has reacted to damn near every topic in recent memory. In today’s installment (part 37), Boosie touched on the widely publicized Verzuz battle between Jeezy and Gucci Mane, during which the late tempted fate with a performance of the incendiary “Truth.” All the while, onlookers watched amidst palpable tension, wondering if Jeezy would react to Guwop’s clear provocation.

“I watched the part with Pookie Loc, I watched that shit,” says Boosie. “He said ‘I’m smoking on that Pookie Loc tonight.'” After Vlad jokes about a meme insinuating that Gucci Mane was armed during the performance, Boosie has a hearty laugh before circling back to the topic at hand. “I like how they bossed up, but I would have charged that n***a,” admits Boosie. “If he had said he was smoking on my partner, I’d have felt that was a type of disrespect…I thought we were walking about music. You can say that in a song if that’s part of a song, but you ain’t gon’ say…”

“They was supposed to have that understanding before they got there,” he continues. “But I like how they handled it as bosses. I got a lot of respect for them for not taking it there and really bossing up and letting it be.” Vlad remarks that while Jeezy appears to have moved past the incident, Gucci has yet to fully shake the grudge. “Jeezy done showed the world he a real n***a,” reflects Boosie. “He not trying to prove he a real n***a again by going back. That’s what Jeezy stood for.”

Check out Boosie’s take on Jeezy and Gucci Mane’s Verzuz battle below, and check back for further insight from the Baton Rouge rapper as it surfaces.
