Francis Ngannou had a massive night on Saturday as he defeated Stipe Miocic to claim the UFC Heavyweight title. This was a massive win for Ngannou who has worked incredibly hard to get to where he is now. Defeating Miocic makes him one of the best to ever do it, and he will certainly be motivated to retain that status, moving forward.

After the fight, Dana White claimed that if Jon Jones called him, they could arrange a title fight between him and Ngannou, instantaneously. Jones has been in disputes with the UFC as of late, and some fans even called Jones scared. As you can imagine, he didn’t take those comments too lightly, and took to Twitter where he ripped those who don’t know any better.

“If anyone is wondering if I really want to fight, the answer is yes. I also really want to get paid,” he wrote. “I quit the light heavyweight division, literally gained a massive amount of weight. And now people are saying I’m afraid? Everyone but me claiming that I’m afraid. All I asked was to get paid.”

For now, it remains to be seen what needs to be done for Jones to finally come back and get in that Octagon. If he wins the Heavyweight title, his legacy will only build from here on out, and fans can’t wait to see it. As for the disrespect, Jones is over it.

“I’ve been working my butt off, gained all this weight,” he said. “Have never lost a fight before. Now all of a sudden I am scared. What bullshit.”

Last night was a huge one for the UFC as Stipe Miocic went up against Francis Ngannou to defend his UFC Heavyweight title. In the end, however, it was Ngannou who came out victorious thanks to some incredible punching in the first two rounds. Ngannou came out swinging and Miocic didn’t really seem to have an answer for any of it. Eventually, in the second round, Ngannou put an end to Miocic’s title reign and won the match via knockout.

In the clips and frames below, you can see just how impressive Ngannou’s fight was. Miocic is considered to be one of the best boxers when it comes to the UFC but last night, he was completely left in the dust as Ngannou showed why he deserved his very own crack at the title.

Immediately following the fight, there was some chatter about who Ngannou should get to fight next. Of course, many began to bring up Jon Jones, who could certainly prove to be a great matchup for the Cameroonian. Jones has had his own personal issues with the UFC in the past, which makes this prospective fight a dream more than anything else, at least for now.

Regardless, this was a huge win for Ngannou and we’re sure he will be eager to defend the title sooner rather than later.

Chadwick Boseman’s widow, Simone Ledward Boseman, accepted his posthumous award for outstanding actor in a motion picture at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards, Saturday with an emotional acceptance speech. Boseman received the award for his role in Netflix’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

“As always, he would give all honor and glory to the most high God,” his wife began. “He would thank his mom and dad, and he would give honor to the ancestors as we now honor him. Thank you NAACP Image Awards for always giving him his flowers. He was an uncommon artist and an even more uncommon person. But the manner in which we lost him is not uncommon at all. Not in our community.”

Boseman died last year after suffering from a previously undisclosed four-year battle with colon cancer. He most famously starred in Marvel’s Black Panther.

“Black people in this country are 20 percent more likely to be diagnosed with colon cancer and 40 percent more likely to die from it. The age for routine screening has recently been lowered to 45 so if you are 45 years of age or older, please get screened. Don’t put it off any longer, please get screened,” she said
