BTS Reminisce On Their Good Times Together In The Video For ‘Film Out’

BTS are worldwide superstars and if there’s any doubt about that, their 2020 stands as proof to their extreme success. The K-pop group landed three No. 1 songs on the singles charts, including “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite,” while snagging the title of best-selling artist last year as well. Add in the fact that they had nearly all of 2020’s most popular tweets and it’s clear BTS’ stardom reaches all corners of the world.

The South Korean natives are preparing to give their adoring fans a new project, and to begin its rollout they shared their new single, “Film Out,” with an explosive new video. The visual starts off rather calm as the members of BTS walk around a room and reminisce on their good times together.

Things take a dramatic turn when a fiery explosion interrupts the peace. The song was written in collaboration with Iyori Shimuzi of the Japanese trio Back Number and will be featured as in the upcoming Japanese film, Signal The Movie Cold Case Investigation Unit. “Film Out” will also appear on the group’s upcoming album, BTS, The Best. The Japanese-language project will be comprised of new songs and tracks that the group has released since 2017. BTS, The Best will arrive on June 17.

Yung Joc Jokes About His Fake Beard: “Put Your Face On Live For $1,000”

If there’s one thing Yung Joc will do, is try out a trend regardless of the opinions of others. When he straightened his hair years ago and styled it in a 1950s-esque pompadour, the internet lit up with jokes and memes about the Atlanta rapper, and after he debuted his fake lace beard this week, social media was back at it. Before and after photos of Joc made the rounds and he returned to give the world a better look at his new style.

“Put your face on Live for a thousand dollars,” Joc joked in the clip, imitating Boosie Badazz’s famous line. Joc  pretends to shave it off but ultimately determined that it will stay for the time being. This may be the first time that some people have seen beards such as this, but the lace movement tapped into this long ago. Men have been wearing lace beards for years, and balding men have hit salons for their lace front waves, dreads, and afro styles. One rapper who has often talked about his wigs is Tekashi 6ix9ine who wears his hair proudly.

Check out more from Yung Joc and his new beard below, and rummage through more photos and videos of men embracing the lace front lifestyle.

Lil Nas X Blamed ‘Crying Nerds On The Internet’ For MSCHF Not Shipping The 666th Pair Of His ‘Satan Shoes’

While there was plenty of backlash surrounding Lil Nas X and last week’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” video, the singer adding to the controversy with the release of his “Satan Shoes.” In collaboration with MSCHF, the singer released 666 pairs of the sneakers: a customized pair of Nike Air Max 97s that came with a pentagram as well as ink and a singular drop of human blood injected to the shoe’s sole. The release didn’t sit too well with Nike as they sued MSCHF earlier this week and obtained a temporary restraining order to ban the company from completing orders of the Satan Shoes.

Unfortunately for Nike, MSCHF said that all but one pair of the shoes were shipped, with the remaining one being the 666th pair. According to The Verge, the viral company said it will not ship the final pair of the Satan Shoes as a result of the court order. MSCHF says that the original plan for the 666th pair of the sneaker collaboration with Lil Nas X was to give it away in on April 2, a plan that is now on hold due to the lawsuit.

MSCHF’s attorney spoke about a judge’s ruling against the Satan Shoes in a statement that said the shoes are “not typical sneakers, but rather individually-numbered works of art that were sold to collectors for $1,018 each,” adding that consumers most likely knew the sneakers were not connected to Nike “given the sophistication of purchasers.”

Lil Nas also apologized for his inability to give away the final pair of shoes in a post to Twitter. “sorry guys i’m legally not allowed to give the 666th pair away anymore because of the crying nerds on the internet,” he said.

Akademiks Says Saweetie Is Behind Video Leak: “Someone’s Trying To Run With A Narrative”

He’s had quite a bit to say about Saweetie and Quavo’s breakup, and Akademiks isn’t letting up. After calling their relationship “toxic and abusive asf,” Akademiks hopped on Twitch to spill the details regarding the infamous elevator fight video that has been circulating this week. In the clip of an incident that reportedly occurred at an apartment complex last year, viewers can see the Rap couple arguing over a bag. The violent tug has polarized both fans and the industry, and artists like Trouble and Boosie Badazz have vocalized they’re sticking by Quavo’s side.

TMZ didn’t have this video in the tuck. Someone shopped this video to TMZ recently. They paid between like, approximately fifty to one hundred thousand dollars,” said Akademiks. “If they had this video all along, it would have dropped. They just got this video. Why would this video just automatically come out now. Why now?! Who would this benefit?! We have to ask these questions because, again, while we’re not—I wanna be very delicate. We always will side with a victim but we won’t ever ignore the possibility where someone’s trying to run with a narrative.”

“And Saweetie, it appears that you’re trying to do so,” Akademiks continued. “I think she put this video into the ecosphere and said, “N*ggas gon’ call this n*gga an abuser, yeah.’ You know why? ‘Cause after she told the world he cheated, people were still split half and half.” He added that even if Quavo was unfaithful, he doesn’t believe that Saweetie should have “violated” him on Respectfully Justin with her answer about threesomes.

Check out Akademiks’s controversial take below and let us know if you agree or disagree with him.

Lil Nas X Slams Nike For Blocking The Sale Of “Satan’s Shoes”

Lil Nas X had many upset with his MSCHF x Nike Air Max 97 which was dubbed “Satan’s Shoes.” The sneaker was your basic Air Max 97 except there were numerous references to the devil and satanic imagery. In fact, 666 pairs were created as a way to pay homage to the number of the beast. Due to the fact that the shoe was an unofficial custom, Nike decided to sue MSCHF, demanding that the shoes not be sold. In the end, Nike got their way, and now, Lil Nas X can’t give away the 666th pair as he had planned to.

Of course, the artist is extremely upset over this latest ruling and this evening, Nas X took to Twitter where he condemned the decision and even came at Nike for their legal eagle ways. As he notes, what Nike is doing is anti-freedom of expression and that fans know the shoe is just a custom.

“Sorry guys i’m legally not allowed to give the 666th pair away anymore because of the crying nerds on the internet,” Lil Nas X wrote. “I haven’t been upset until today, i feel like it’s fucked up they have so much power they can get shoes cancelled. freedom of expression gone out the window. but that’s gonna change soon. […] people make customs all the time, it’s never been a problem. nike only stopped the sell of the shoe because a powerful group of people pushed them to do so.”

For now, Nas X and MSCHF are losing the battle and it doesn’t seem like they will be able to gain ground anytime soon as the court continues to side with Nike. If you bought a pair and now you can’t get your shipment, well, you have Nike to blame for that.

Southside Responds To Father’s Accusations: “He Wasn’t Nowhere Around”

Nobody wins when the family feuds, or so Jay-Z says, but Southside’s father didn’t get the memo. We previously reported on the scathing messages the famed producer’s father uploaded to his Instagram Story and he aired out all of their dirty laundries. “Tattoos on your face and carrying guns don’t make you a gangster. Real gangsters don’t choose to be gangsters, we don’t have a choice. It comes from growing up poor. You a RICH B*TCH that betrays everybody that helped you become rich & famous,” Southside’s father wrote. “You lieing to the WORLD like you did it all by your self. I’m telling the TRUTH ABOUT YOU. @808mafiaboss.”

He also accused Southside of slapping and spitting on his sister and neglecting his grandfather. The producer stands accused of living a life of luxury while his family struggles, and after the messages went viral, Southside took to Instagram Live to respond. He brought on his uncle who said that Southside’s father didn’t teach him how to make beats, as he said, and the producer’s father wasn’t in Southside’s life.

“He wasn’t nowhere around,” said Southside. “You 50-years-old. You supposed to be proud of your son. I didn’t did nothin’ to you for you to be dissin’ me. He talkin’ ’bout I beat Tiara up and all this other stuff. Trippin’.” Swipe below to watch Southside and his uncle set the record straight.

NYPD Charge 7-Year-Old Boy With Third-Degree Rape: Report

There hasn’t been much information shared about this case, but it’s captured the attention of a global audience. Investigators are keeping their findings close to the chest in upstate New York after they charged a seven-year-old with third-degree rape. According to multiple reports, the New York Police Department was alerted of an incident that occurred on Thanksgiving Day last year. The Watertown Daily Times reported that authorities haven’t delivered details, but they did confirm the child’s age.

“Instinctually, it shouldn’t happen to a 7-year-old. I don’t think you could even realize what you’re doing at 7 years old, so I think it’s absurd to charge a 7-year-old with rape,” Anthony Martone, an attorney told WWNY-TV. “They’d have to prove he actually physically committed this act, which to me, it almost seems to be an impossibility.”

The minimum age to be charged in New York is seven, but there is reportedly a bill on the books to change that age to 12. Details regarding the alleged victim in this case is unknown, as is the nature of the event and the relationship between the seven-year-old and the alleged victim. The public has conversed about this charge, some citing that the seven-year-old is too young to know what he’s doing while others haven’t dismissed the possibility that the child could have sexually assaulted someone. Let us know your thoughts about this developing case.

Remy Ma Denies Reports That She Knew Victim She Was Accused Of Shooting

After serving six years of her eight-year sentence, Remy Ma was released from prison in 2014. The “Conceited” rapper immediately jumped right back into her career with a stint on Love & Hip Hop New York and a hit collaboration with Fat Joe and French Montana, but all these years later, Remy wants to clear up a few misconceptions about her case. It was widely reported for years that the rapper was responsible for shooting a good friend named Makeda Barnes-Joseph, but in her most recent interview with Wendy Williams, Remy Ma claims she didn’t even know the victim in her case.

“Here’s the thing. This girl wasn’t my best friend. All of these things [told] all of these years were not true, but once you’re in prison, no one cares,” said the rapper. “Once you come home, I’m not gonna spend the rest of my life trying to prove to people like, I don’t know this person. I found out about her last name when y’all found out. When y’all read it in the newspaper.”

Wendy, true to her brand, asked Remy why she shot the woman. “I didn’t shoot anybody,” said Remy. “Do y’all really think every time the D.A., the judge, [and] the jury got it right every single time? No, they didn’t.” The controversial moment between Remy and Barnes-Joseph occurred back in 2007 when they two were reportedly arguing over the rapper being robbed of $3,000. In court, the incident was reportedly labeled as an accident by the rapper’s attorney who claimed the firearm discharged as the women struggled over Remy’s purse.

Remy Ma has always denied that she purposefully injured or shot anyone. Check out her clip on Wendy Williams below.
