Big Moochie Grape Gets It Jumpin’ Out The “Traphouse”

Even though he’s a fairly fresh face to the rap game, Big Moochie Grape has been making sure his presence is felt in the streets. The Memphis rapper unleashed Eat Or Get Ate in 2020 and swiftly followed it up with his collaborative project with Jay Fizzle, LoLifeBlacc and DJ Fly Guy, Nays & Grapes 2

Even in between time, Big Moochie Grape has continued to keep the streets hot with new music. Late last month, he released his first offering of 2021, “Anthony Davis.” Now, the rapper returns to the trenches with his new banger, “Traphouse.” The eerie production and heavy 808s provide a canvas for the rapper to paint a vivid portrayal of a day in the traphouse.

Travis Scott Takes Over L.A. Street With Surprise Pop-Up & Screaming Fans

Whenever Travis Scott plans just about anything that involves drawing a crowd, we can expect madness and mayhem to ensue. The global superstar and his Cactus Jack brand have been making consistent moves in the music and business worlds, and on Tuesday (February 23), it was all about his i-D magazine takeover. Scott covers The Utopia In Dystopia issue where the rapper is photographed and illustrated by filmmaker, artist, and musician Spike Jonze.

Cactus Jack and i-D also partnered together on limited-edition merchandise, much like the collaboration between the rapper’s brand and McDonald’s. In a surprise move, Travis Scott announced that he was making his way to West Hollywood for an impromptu appearance at a “Newsstand” pop-up to help promote the issue, and to say that a major Los Angeles street became the center of fan-centered chaos is an understatement.

People stormed a Fairfax Ave newsstand to catch a glimpse of the rapper, and soon, Scott had to be escorted away from the scene—but he left with a bang. There have been plenty of videos and images of the event shared throughout social media, so check out a few below.

Pooh Shiesty Says He Really Wants A Cardi B Feature

There aren’t many who can say they’re having as great of a year as Pooh Shiesty. The release of Shiesty Season cemented him as one of the hottest newcomers in the game, plus the success of “Back In Blood” ft. Lil Durk is giving it the type of momentum to end up on year-end lists, even if it was released in 2020. Needless to say, he’s on his way up and he’s gaining some rightful recognition to back it up.

The rapper recently appeared on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo where he discussed his life, music career, and more. At one point in the career, Shiesty said that he’s seeking a feature from Cardi B. “I want a Cardi B feature, bad, really,” he explained to Walle and Gillie Da King who immediately started petitioning for this collaboration to come to life. “Cardi B need to — we need to do that,” Shiesty added.

The rapper later took to his Twitter page where he shared a snippet of his comment and tagged Cardi to catch her attention along with the goat emoji.

It was only a few weeks ago when Cardi B took to Instagram where she gave Pooh Shiesty a shout-out for the success of “Back In Blood” as it prevented “Up” from hitting the top spot on Apple Music. “I really wanted to go #1 on Apple but my n***a Pooh Shiesty have his foot on my fuckin’ neck,” she said.

DaniLeigh Doesn’t Believe “MOVIE” Album Got Enough Support After Doja Cat Praises Project

It’s been three months since DaniLeigh shared her visual album MOVIE, and the singer-rapper-dancer continues to promote her labor of love. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a minute and quarantine really gave me the time to really put it together,” DaniLeigh exclusively told us back in December. “There’s like, two years of work. It’s me just going through life, living life, and recording all the time… A movie.” As dedicated as DaniLeigh was to this project, she recently expressed that she feels it didn’t receive the recognition it deserved.

A screenshot of an Instagram Story slide from DaniLeigh was shared by It’s On-Site where the “Dominican Mami” artist was praised by Doja Cat. “Ur album is craaaaaaaazy,” Doja reportedly DMed DaniLeigh. The singer liked the comment and reposted it to her Story and added, “Thank u Doja,” DaniLeigh wrote over the screenshot. “I wish I had more support on my album fr .. I know so many songs could be bigger than what they are.”

She didn’t specify what tracks she believes could have climbed the charts, but her fans have given their guesses on social media. Currently, Dani is promoting her collaboration with the clothing brand Boohoo as her line was released today (February 23). She previously told us she was working on a streetwear line, so you can check out her Story and her threads below.

Bobby Shmurda & Rowdy Rebel Reunite For First Time Since Prison Release

Bobby Shmurda is officially back home. The rapper was released from prison earlier today before getting picked up in a private jet by Quavo. Just a few months back, Rowdy Rebel was released from prison and has been steadily building the anticipation until Shmurda touches back. Though Bobby spent much of his day celebrating some of the wins that happened during his absence, he and Rowdy Rebel finally linked up.

Fetty Luciano took to Instagram where he shared some footage of Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel finally reuniting after they were both released from prison. It was a short snippet but it showed the two friends dressed in designer with stacks of cash sitting on the ground. Fetty captioned the video, “The CEOs.”

Rowdy Rebel appears to already have some massive plans for himself and Bobby Shmurda. The rapper recently took to Instagram after hinting at Bobby’s release last week where he said that they’ll be performing at Summer Jam 2021. The two have been friends for a long time, before their rap careers blew up and it was Shmurda who agreed to take a longer sentence in order for Rowdy’s to get reduced.

“I wouldn’t be here RN if you haven’t been the same genuine person I met in elementary,” Rowdy wrote in a now-deleted post. “Always thinking nd doing for others. I thank god I got a friend like you I could call my brother.”

We’re excited to hear what the two have cooking up next.

Charlamagne Tha God Pleads With LaKeith Stanfield’s Team: “Get That Brother Some Help”

The tension between Charlamagne Tha God and LaKeith Standfield reached new heights after The Breakfast Club host took subtle verbal jabs at the actor. The two have traded words, albeit indirectly, after Charlamagne called out Standfield back in 2019 over his criticisms of Black media. The two haven’t been actively going back and forth since then, but when Daniel Kaluuya sat down with the radio show to talk about his role in Judas and The Black Messiah, Charlamagne stirred the pot by mentioning his co-star.

Later, Stanfield shared a strange gun-weilding post that involved a photo of Charlamagne, and soon, the radio show host spoke about the actor being about “to dish it but not take it.” After the clip of Charlamagne’s follow-up circulated online, he hopped in The Shade Room‘s comments to further explain himself.

“I wish y’all would have kept the most important part of this video in and that’s when I said Pray for that brother and please get that brother some help,” he wrote. “He’s clearly got some issues that he needs to deal with. Waving a gun at someone’s picture on social media when you on the verge of being one of the biggest stars in Hollywood is not normal. Law enforcement is always monitoring these sites waiting for us to slip up. The people who love him need to get that brother some help.”

Some responded that Charlamagne seemed to be taking digs instead of applauding both Kaluuya and Stanfield’s performances. “I absolutely did congratulate him,” wrote Charlamagne. “Said he did a phenomenal job and him and Daniel should win all the awards. Literally said that to Daniel in the same exact interview.”
