CyHi The Prynce Reveals That “Elephant In The Room” Was Inspired By Eminem & Dr. Dre

In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, veteran songwriter and longtime G.O.O.D. Music affiliate CyHi The Prynce chopped it up with the rap platform to discuss a myriad of topics, ranging from his contributions to G.O.O.D. Music artists like Travis Scott to his thoughts on whether any of Kanye West‘s last few albums can truly be considered great. During the interview, CyHi also shed light on one of his most eye-catching releases of 2015, his Kanye West-aimed diss track “Elephant In The Room.”

The song found CyHi aiming shots at Kanye, with lines like “Hey Ye, do you know what it feel like/To really be signed to you in real life?” and “And there ain’t gon’ be no new Yeezy album/Cause he in the the trunk with his mouth taped and his wrists wrapped.” However, “Elephant In The Room” preceded CyHi’s debut album No Dope On Sundays, sp many outlets were quick to write off the Kanye West diss track as nothing more than a publicity stunt to build hype for CyHi’s forthcoming album.

However, the Atlanta lyricist proved otherwise in his latest interview with HipHopDX, revealing that “Elephant In The Room” was actually a concept record that was pulled from an unfinished joint album that he had been working on with Kanye West. According to CyHi, their collab album was inspired by Eminem and Dr. Dre‘s past work together in which Eminem would throw shots at his mentor from time to time, and apparently, it was all Kanye’s idea.

“You know what, that was for an album we were doing. We were going to do this like Dr. Dre/Eminem album and that was a song Kanye actually gave me,” CyHi reveals. “So, I wanted to make it feel like that kind of vibe when I did it. You know how Eminem used to always go at Dre? That’s what I wanted to do.”

The No Dope On Sundays artist’s recent statements add context to one of his 2015 tweets in which CyHi wrote, “What If I told y’all @kanyewest gave me the beat and the concept and I played if for him prior to releasing it??”

While CyHi and Kanye’s joint Eminem & Dr. Dre-inspired album has yet to fully come to fruition, perhaps CyHi’s recent comments will stir excitement amongst Hip-Hop fans and inspire the two G.O.O.D. Music artists to revisit it.

Check out CyHi The Prynce’s full interview with HipHopDX below. The discussion about “Elephant In The Room” begins near the 8:05 mark.

Adult Webcam Site Offers Paul Pierce New Job After ESPN Firing

Paul Pierce fumbled the bag in a major way this weekend, getting fired by ESPN after hosting an Instagram Live with exotic dancers, twerking, and more debauchery. During the live stream, the basketball legend even predicted that he would get fired from the sports network, which was formally announced a couple of days after the fact.

As the Boston Celtics great considers his next money-making moves, Paul Pierce has just been offered a pretty substantial new deal from adult entertainment website CamSoda, where he will be able to partake in as many stripper-filled shenanigans as he wants while still getting to the bag.

The adult webcamming site has shared the following letter with Paul Pierce in hopes that he will sign the dotted line and become their first-ever “NBA Analyst”:

Dear Paul Pierce,

I saw the news that you have parted ways with ESPN after you posted a video to social media of yourself with exotic dancers.

Being that you are now unemployed, I would like to extend you a position at CamSoda as our first-ever ‘NBA Analyst.’ As our NBA Analyst, you would be required to stream yourself live on our platform every week night and discuss happenings around the NBA. Inside the NBA be damned.

Here at CamSoda, we champion exotic dancers, cam girls and sex workers. We would be more than happy to accommodate your penchant for women and you’d be free to stream with them while they twerk in the background and more.

We’d be willing to extend you an offer of up to $250,000.

Get in touch with me and we can discuss details and hopefully reach an agreement.

Sincerely,

Daryn Parker

CamSoda Vice President

This is a pretty enticing offer for Paul Pierce, who will likely need to weigh this contract pretty heavily. Nudity is 100% allowed on his stream, so he would not need to be worried about getting fired from this job. Do you think he might accept?

In a new video, Paul Pierce appeared to be pretty carefree about his firing. He thanked his supporters and haters on Instagram Stories, saying that he has bigger and better things on the horizon. Could he be referring to the offer from CamSoda?

Belly Enlists Benny The Butcher For “Money On The Table”

Belly has announced his upcoming studio album See You Next Wednesday, a follow-up to his acclaimed 2018 project ImmigrantThe project will be released via XO Records and Roc Nation, with an official date yet to be confirmed. Ahead of the project, the Palestinian-Canadian lyricist has delivered a pair of lead-off singles, one of them being “Money On The Table” featuring Benny The Butcher.

In keeping with modern tradition, the song’s runtime is diminutive — but not at the cost of the bars. Both Belly and Benny rise to the occasion as expected. The former returns without breaking stride, beginning his verse with some clever penmanship: “I play to win, my old foes tryna make amends / Just ’cause we got the same enemies, that don’t make us friends / Nothing’s makin’ sense, I’m watchin’ angels sin / I’m seein’ demons repent, for now, I play the fence.”

In the midst of his own momentous streak, Benny The Butcher plays the wingman with stalwart reliability. “I got two bitches, one a ratchet, and one my wife / One, I cock before bed, the other, I kiss good night,” he spits, over The ANMLS & Skinny’s production. “I know money made y’all soft, not us, I’m still hungry / Y’all make enough just to pay bills monthly and feel comfy.”

“This felt like something nostalgic when I first made it,” explains Belly, speaking on the song’s creation in an official press release. “Being a fan of Benny, it only made sense to have him on it. I just feel blessed to be back and doing what I love.”

Check out “Money On The Table” now, and keep an eye out for further updates on See You Next Wednesday, Belly’s third studio album.

Kodak Black Targeted By Hitmen In Shooting, Southside Investigated: Report

Kodak Black addressed the masses on Instagram Live on Tuesday afternoon, telling his fans that the targeted shooting against his entourage was not fueled by rap beef. Just days before, Kodak was going back-and-forth with Miami-based music producer Southside, who took offense to the rapper singing his baby mama Yung Miami’s government name. While Kodak might be trying to stray away from the narrative that his shooting was industry-rooted, Southside is reportedly being investigated for threats he made against the rapper according to the latest report from TMZ.

The most recent news regarding the shooting of Kodak Black’s security guard comes via the publication, which writes that Kodak was targeted by hitmen who were making threats against him earlier. Cops are reportedly looking into the threats that were made against Yak’s life, specifically those that came from 808 Mafia producer Southside.

“You still a b*tch. We can bump too. I’ll be back in Miami in a week, pull up wherever, we could bump, don’t bring no security,” warned Southside in a message tagging Kodak over the weekend. “N***as wanna die in Miami,” he sang in another clip, mimicking Kodak.

The investigation remains ongoing and no suspects have been named in the shooting. Southside is not facing any charges.

In case you’re not caught up, Kodak Black was targeted in a shooting on Monday morning while arriving at a McDonald’s restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida. The rapper was in the area for a music festival, showing up at the restaurant at approximately 3 AM before shots rang out, striking his security in the leg. The man was brought to the hospital and it’s being rumored that Kodak is paying for his surgery costs.

We will continue to keep you updated as new information is released.
