Over the last year or so, the Nike Dunk series has been having a massive resurgence. Thanks to the likes of Travis Scott and other influencers, the Nike Dunk Low and High is gaining steam right now and it has led to a plethora of new colorways. Nike knows there is a demand right now and they want to make sure all of their consumers are satisfied. The latest Nike Dunk High to be shown off is of the PRM EMB variety which features some mesh and leather along the upper.

What makes this new colorway fun is the fact that it was made with Lakers fans in mind. The shoe has black mesh on the sides, toe box, and cuff, all while the overlays are made of purple leather. There is even a yellow Nike swoosh on the side to bring it all together. Perhaps the boldest detail to be found here is the Nike logo on the back heel, which has a 3D quality to it and is outlined in yellow.

Conor McGregor was arrested in Corsica, France back in September of last year after he was accused of sexual assault. McGregor was on vacation with his wife at the time and an investigation was immediately launched. McGregor immediately came out and said that he was innocent of any wrongdoing and that he wouldn’t be giving in to the allegations. 

Now, McGregor has been completed cleared of the allegations as he will no longer be charged. According to TMZ, an investigation was completed into the matter, and based on the evidence provided, authorities didn’t have enough to pursue any charges.

“They [French authorities] did a criminal investigation. They collected DNA and the DNA evidence confirmed McGregor’s account,” Conor’s representative told TMZ. The UFC champion has received such allegations in the past, which led many fans to wonder what exactly is going on with McGregor. However, this latest development is certainly a big deal for the fighter who is set to get back into the Octagon in July.

In fact, McGregor was supposed to fight against Dustin Poirier but he has since called off the fight due to a dispute involving Poirier’s charity.

Earlier today, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez unleashed a bombshell. In an exclusive joint statement released to People, the singer-actress and former professional basketball player revealed that contrary to rumors that fans had nothing to worry about, they had officially decided to part ways and end both their two-year engagement and four-year relationship.

“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” their joint statement revealed. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

However, in a wistful video recently posted to his Instagram story, A-Rod doesn’t appear to be convinced that he and J-Lo are better off as friends. In the short clip, Rodriguez can be seen reminiscing on his relationship with J-Lo, as he revisits a wealth of memorabilia from throughout their relationship. Although he doesn’t leave a message to contextualize the video, A-Rod does tag his former fiancée at the bottom of the video and add a large blue heart.

It has been half a year since LisaRaye’s outburst toward her sister Da Brat on Cocktails With Queens, and it seems the sibling rivalry has finally calmed down, and they are in a much better place now. This comes after footage circulated of the two embracing each other at Da Brat’s birthday celebration. 

In a video Jermaine Dupri (below) shared from the rapper’s 47th birthday party, Da Brat’s emotions seem to take over when she says “this is too much for me,” and pulls her sister into a long embrace. Many people commented that all siblings fight, and thus it’s no surprise that the sister duo is back on good terms again.

In October 2020, Da Brat attempted to surprise LisaRaye on Cocktails With Queens for her birthday, but the surprise went sour when LisaRaye expressed her anger with her sister over the fact that she hadn’t spoken to her in months. 

The model and actress revealed the anger and outrage stemmed from the fact that she found out about Da Brat’s coming out and her new relationship through social media, and not directly from the source, so she decided to “take a few steps back.” 

However, LisaRaye told the show co-hosts, “That’s my sister, that ain’t going nowhere,” and reminded them that she will always be close with her, which is, evidently, true. 

Jake Paul is set to fight against Ben Askren on Saturday night despite a sexual assault allegation that was made against him recently. Paul denies all wrongdoing and is even looking to sue the alleged victim for defamation. In the meantime, Paul continues to promote his latest bout and as it stands, he is very confident that he will come away victorious and get himself some fights against some of the best and biggest fighters out there.

One name that has been thrown around quite a bit is Conor McGregor although for now, that matchup seems like a pipe dream. However, during a media event recently, Paul claimed that a fight against McGregor could be just two years away and that he’s confident it will happen.

“I think we both are on a road to each other,” Paul said. “He wants another boxing fight. He wants to fight Manny Pacquiao. He would get toasted. He just keeps on taking Ls. I think fighting Jake Paul would probably be easier than fighting Manny Pacquiao, and it would be just as big. I think we’re a lot closer to a Jake Paul-Conor McGregor fight than anyone thinks. I think it could happen in the next 24 months.”

A lot would need to happen before McGregor would even consider fighting Jake Paul although if there is one thing for sure, it would bring in a boatload of money.

CNN reports that on Wednesday, April 15th, President Joe Biden announced plans to withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan, with the intention of doing so by September 11th, 2021.

“War in Afghanistan was never meant to be a multigenerational undertaking,” stated Biden, speaking from the White House Treaty Room. “We were attacked. We went to war with clear goals. We achieved those objectives. Bin Laden is dead and al Qaeda is degraded in Afghanistan and it’s time to end the forever war.”

As per CNN’s report, over 2,300 US troops have died during the conflict, which has been declared the longest war in American history. It has reportedly cost the country over two trillion dollars.

From the sound of it, Biden’s deadline is unwavering, regardless of whether or not new developments arise. “We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan hoping to create the ideal conditions for our withdrawal, expecting a different result,” he explained.  “I am now the fourth American president to preside over an American troop presence in Afghanistan. Two Republicans. Two Democrats. I will not pass this responsibility to a fifth.”

“We went to Afghanistan because of a horrific attack that happened 20 years ago,” Biden added. “That cannot explain why we should remain there in 2021. Rather than return to war with the Taliban, we have to focus on the challenges that are in front of us.”

While Biden himself deemed the decision to be “absolutely clear,” it was not met with universal agreement among his team. CNN names Gen. Mark Milley, who opposed Biden’s withdrawal plan over concerns that Kabul’s government would risk collapsing as a result, as well as fears that women’s rights would be jeopardized. Though assessments indicate that the conflict between the Taliban and the Afghan government would continue, Biden presented a counter:

“We gave that argument a decade. It’s never proved effective. Not when we had 98,000 troops in Afghanistan, and not when we’re down to a few thousand. Our diplomacy does not hinge on having boots in harm’s way, US boots on the ground. We have to change that thinking. American troops shouldn’t be used as a bargaining chip between warring parties in other countries.”

Chicago artist Polo G is making major waves this year, and even the Die A Legend artist knows it. He recently bought his mother her dream house and deemed himself the rebirthed Tupac, and last weekend, Polo G returned with his third single of 2021, a new introspective solo cut titled “RAPSTAR.”

Wells, nearly a week after the release of his new single, it appears that Polo G may be a “RAPSTAR” after all.  

According to Our Generation Music, early projections are showing that Polo G’s latest single “RAPSTAR” will likely debut atop the Billboard Hot 100. From top to bottom, the current five songs resting at the apex of the chart are Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open,” Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” Justin Bieber’s Giveon and Daniel Caesar-assisted “Peaches,” Cardi B’s “Up,” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License.” To eclipse any of those records in the coming week would unarguably be a massive achievement for Polo G. 

For the record, nearly one full week following the song’s release, its music video has already notched 20 million views, so if his streaming numbers across other DSPs are anywhere near close to that awe-inspiring total, then perhaps “RAPSTAR” will land one of the top spots on the weekly Billboard chart after all.
