Lauren London’s Sons Have A Blast At O.T. Genasis’ Son’s 1st B-Day Party

It’s been around a year since O.T. Genasis and Malika Haqq welcomed their son Ace. While the couple’s relationship has been a bit tumultuous, they seemed to be on good enough terms to throw their son a spectacular birthday bash. Many children of Hollywood stepped out for the affair, but two youngsters, in particular, caught everyone’s attention. Both of Lauren London’s sons Kam and Kross were in attendance at the party, appearing to have a blast while at the event.

The rapper first shared footage of himself joking with Lauren’s elder son Kam, shared with Lil Wayne. The two bantered about which sports team was better before Genasis tickled the youngster, sending him into a giggling frenzy.

He then focused on Lauren’s younger son shared with the late Nipsey Hussle Kross. The tot had his hair styled in Nipsey-esque braids and donned a red sweatsuit as O.T. pestered him about having his money. The adorable footage has been viewed nearly 1.5 million times since being reposted.

Lauren welcomed 4-year-old Kross Ermias Asghedom with her late husband Nipsey Hussle back in 2016, while Lauren and Lil Wayne welcomed their 11-year-old son Kameron Carter in September of 2009.

Bow Wow Finally Getting His Flowers After Drake Shoutout

All it took was a 20-second speech from Drake and, suddenly, everyone loves Bow Wow again. The rapper recently shouted out Bow Wow and chilled with him in Houston after charting his new three songs at #1, #2, and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Bow was present for the celebratory dinner with the OVO team, and Drake had some huge praise for the former child star, saying that there would be no Drake if Bow Wow hadn’t paved the way for him.

Given the way that people love to perpetually clown Bow Wow, either for some Bow Wow Challenge-adjacent nonsense or for something unrelated, it seemed like another few years would inevitably go by before people realized that the man actually is a legend. Thankfully, Bow is finally starting to get his flowers after Drake’s praise-filled video hit the internet, with hundreds of fans speaking about how the 34-year-old reality star jump-started things for a lot of today’s rappers.

Bow Wow has been a trending topic on Twitter since Monday evening. Fans are finally reminded of the rapper’s greatness, forgetting about all the corny activity that followed his iconic career and celebrating him for what he is. A young pioneer.

Asian Doll Getting Face & Neck Tattoos For King Von

Since the tragic passing of Chicago rapper King Von, the rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Asian Doll, has been trying to keep his legacy alive by painting her body with reminders of the O’Block storyteller. On Tuesday, the rapper revealed that she already has four tattoos as a tribute to Von, including the large portrait on her hand, and she’s planning on getting two more. In fact, one of the two will be on her before the end of the day.

Sharing some of her favorite good memories with King Von, the self-proclaimed Queen Von shared her immediate plans to get two more tattoos for her ex-boyfriend. “I got Von tatted 4 times today I’m finna make it 5,” she tweeted. “Cause y’all ain’t nevaaaaa just take my boy like that.” She broke down the placement of her numerous tattoos, pointing out one under her breast, two across her arm, and the large portrait on her hand. She revealed that she’ll be getting the new pieces on her face and neck. “That’s gone make a total 6 times,” she added. “Stop telling me what to do this is not a debate.”

Asian Doll has received a lot of criticism for how heavy she’s been repping King Von since his passing. However, what her haters fail to realize is that she and Von were in a happy committed relationship for months before breaking up. Asian says that they split up just days before Von’s death.

We’ll keep you posted on Asian Doll’s new tattoos as she posts them.

Anderson .Paak Is Thrilled About Making The Hot 100 Chart For The First Time

Over the course of his career, Anderson .Paak has been gradually climbing his way up the Billboard charts. His four albums — Venice, Malibu, Oxnard, and Ventura — have performed progressively better on the Billboard 200: .Paak’s debut didn’t chart, then the other three records peaked respectively at Nos. 79, 11, and 4. This hasn’t translated to success on the Hot 100 chart for .Paak, though, as prior to this week, he never had a song appear on the chart.

That changed this week, however, thanks to his new supergroup with Bruno Mars, Silk Sonic. The band’s debut single, “Leave The Door Open,” debuted at No. 4 on the Hot 100 chart dated March 20. Getting on the Hot 100 is a major milestone, so naturally, .Paak is pretty excited.

.Paak shared an image of the top ten spots of the chart and wrote on Instagram, “Ima stretch this goose neck to The moooon!! All I can say is thank you!!!! To have a song like this debut in the hot 100 ( my first song to ever make it up there ) is truly amazing. It can’t happen without hard work and yalls support. Thanks for pushing everyone to greatness @brunomars and showing us new heights! I’ll never come down!! let’s keep rising! We love you for this!!! Y’all gonna have me faded all damn week!!”

Rich Brian Reflects On His Artistic Growth With The Bouncy ‘Sydney’

Although Rich Brian had some breakout singles in 2020, including his “Tokyo Drift” freestyle and the Guapdad 4000-featuring “Bali,” and released a seven-song EP, 1999, the Indonesian rapper has been relatively quiet over the past year, soaking up the success of his 2019 full-length, The Sailor.

Today, he released his first single of 2021, “Sydney.” Featuring a video-gamey, constantly evolving beat, the bouncy song finds Brian filling up the pages of his rhyme book with abstract, multi-syllabic thoughts about his growth as an artist. One fun example: “I show my love to legends, that’s why I like my own pictures.”

Speaking with Uproxx last year about his time social distancing during LA’s pandemic quarantine, Brian revealed how intentional his artistic growth has been. “I’ve been getting back to producing more,” he shared. “I’ve always produced and I started learning how to produce when I was like 16, 17. So, that’s always been a nice little skill to have just because it makes it easier for me to make songs and I don’t have to talk to people about what I want all the time. It just makes songwriting a lot better, and being able to learn arrangements and what these little languages are.”

“And it’s been a lot of different kinds of music,” he continued. “A lot of hip-hop stuff, then a lot of really melodic stuff, and that’s what comes out when I produce. I can’t really just do one thing because it gets really boring for me. So I try to switch it up.
