A Boogie Admits He Blocked Ella Bands Because He Gets “Jealous”

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie announced earlier in the month that he had split from his longtime girlfriend Ella Bands. While Ella later revealed that they mutually discussed and agreed on ending things, the two have continued to share subliminal messages about each other on their respective social media channels expressing regret in their decision. Last week, Ella’s sister claimed the Bronx-bred rapper was still checking up on his ex despite their split. Yesterday (March 26), the “Numbers” rapper took to Instagram stories again, this time to admit he still gets jealous seeing his ex’s posts.

“Lmao I be jealous af I dead blocked her so ion see her face,” he confessed in a black-screen text post, completed with a crying emoji. “sh*t make me think too much,” he continued.

The post from the rapper followed shortly after his ex shared a steamy bikini post to her Instagram the same day. “She’s a good girl but she a bad b*tch,” penned the entrepreneur in the caption.

As aforementioned, Ella’s sister and fellow influencer Mella Barbie aired out more details of their shaky breakup. “Artist ain’t letting sh*t be free be text my phone everyday asking bout my sister,” wrote Mella in her Instagram story, adding multiple laughing-face emojis. She continued, “bout to change my number on his ass, calling 9am and sh*t boy I am SLEEP!”

If these two happen to reconcile, it won’t come as a surprise.

Iman Shumpert Reveals Why He Respects Carmelo Anthony So Much

During Carmelo Anthony’s time with the New York Knicks, there were plenty of times where the media and fans got on his case. There were many out there who thought Melo’s inclusion on the team would lead to some big things in terms of playoff performances. In the end, this turned out not to be the case, although Anthony was still a great player with the squad. One of his teammates during that time was Iman Shumpert, who eventually went on to win a title with LeBron James.

While speaking to The Jump on ESPN this past week, Shumpert had some interesting comments about Melo and why he respects the former Knicks star so much. Simply put, Melo stands up for his teammates, even when they might not deserve it.

“Melo was one of those guys where I never felt so safe. This dude would take the blame for everything,” Shumpert said. “There were times where I said ‘why don’t you just say what happened.’ Why are you taking the bullets? If you just say something maybe they’ll play harder.”

Despite this leadership, Melo has always been attacked in the media for being a self-centered guy although based on what Iman is saying, those narratives clearly aren’t true. Now, Melo is having a career resurgence in Portland, and fans are happy to see him thriving.

Yung Miami Announces Her Mother’s Release From Prison

City Girls member Yung Miami’s rap career has skyrocketed to new heights in the past year and a half. Even with JT behind bars for a portion of their come-up, the duo still managed to stay at the forefront of the female rap game. Behind the scenes, however, Yung Miami was dealing with the loss of her mother to the criminal justice system. Charged in a hit and run incident that occurred back in 2009 and convicted in 2017, the Miami native revealed her mother was finally coming home soon.

“My mom get out tomorrow,” tweeted the “Flewed Out” artist on Friday (March 26). “I’m so anxious,” she continued.

“My Mom left me with 2 kids plus Jai I was 22 going on 23 I didn’t know what to do I had to figure it out. Look at me now God is so good,” penned the rapper in a second tweet. Back in 2017, the City Girls were just getting their start in the industry with their debut studio track “Fuck Dat N*gga.” Yung Miami promoted the song by paying DJs to play it in clubs, eventually releasing an official video for the song later in 2018, pushing them even further into the mainstream.

During this time, her mother had been charged with first-degree murder for the death of Emily Robinson while trying to flee the scene after an armed robbery. She received a sentence of five years plus 10 years probation.

She received a wave of support from fans after sharing the good news on Twitter. “I’m so happy for you! I hope y’all have the best f*ckin year!” wrote one fan.

We’ll keep you updated on Yung Miami’s reunion with her mother.

Big Sean Loved Lil Nas X’s ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ Video For Its ‘Creativity N Confidence’

Nearly nine months ago, Lil Nas X shared a snippet of a track titled “Call Me By Your Name” on Twitter. While there was no way to know how long the wait would be until the song arrived, there was certainly no telling how the singer would release the track, which is now titled “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” as it arrived with a wild video.

In it, Lil Nas journeys through a fictional hell and Earth even gives the devil a lap dance during his time in the underworld. The response to the video has been mixed, with some praising him for it and others not too fond of it. One person who’s a big fan of the video would be Big Sean, though, who praised Lil Nas for it on Instagram.

The interaction between to two artists came when Lil Nas asked fans in an Instagram post to name their favorite part of the video. As the responses came in, Big Sean took a moment to share his own. “The creativity n confidence to do you fully is my favorite part!” he said. “Keep rocking bro.” As expected, the comment caught Lil Nas’ attention and the singer thanked Big Sean for the love. “Wow bro thanks!” he replied. “Means a lot coming from you! i’m blasting deep reverence today!”

Lil Nas’ “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” video was not the only thing he shared on Friday. He also revealed his debut album would be titled Montero and that it would arrive this summer. He made the announcement while mocking viewers who were critical of the new song’s visual.

NBA YoungBoy’s Arrest: The Best Memes

Louisiana rapper NBA YoungBoy was arrested by the FBI in Los Angeles on Monday, March 22, and to no surprise, some corners of social media have been having quite the laugh about it, considering how often the rapper seems to have run-ins with the law.

The 21-year-old MC was taken into custody after a traffic stop that eventually led to a pursuit on foot. YoungBoy was reportedly tracked down by a K-9 unit and taken into custody due to a warrant from the discovery of illegal firearms in his possession in September 2020. Despite the seriousness of the situation, it proved to be the source of meme inspiration, in following a prior NBA Youngboy meme tradition.

Celebrities and fans alike had a lot to say about the consequences the “Slime Mentality” rapper could be facing. Yaya Mayweather, YoungBoy’s girlfriend of two years and YoungBoy impersonator, posted on her Instagram story that her “day was ruined” following his arrest. Daytime talk show host Wendy Williams chimed in on the topic saying he needs to go to jail for putting people at risk, just before shaming him for having seven kids at 21-years old. Boosie jumped to his defense slamming Wendy Williams and tweeting, “FREE THE GOAT #YB TIL WE SEE THE GOAT.” Bobby Shmurda is also among YoungBoy’s supporters, after posting a picture of him on his Instagram story with the caption, “Free the mon dem.”

However, nobody has more to say than the respective Instagram and Twitter communities. While YoungBoy potentially faces some pretty harsh charges and the future looks a little hazy, here are some of the best memes to come out of it.

The rapper is definitely no stranger to jail time, and Twitter knows it.

Dogs can do the signature NBA YoungBoy stance too.

No words for this one whatsoever.

A classic.

The Boondocks always has the ultimate meme material.

Not the real footage, but we can imagine!

Yaya’s love for YoungBoy runs deep.

Possibilities? What do you think?

There goes that signature pose again.

Twitter is too much.

Aaron Gordon Sends A Message Upon Arriving In Denver

Aaron Gordon was one of the players that many knew was going to be traded at the deadline. Just a couple of days prior to the deadline, Gordon reportedly requested a trade from the Orlando Magic, who were content with starting a bit of a rebuild. On Thursday, the Magic immediately trade Nikola Vucevic and then set their sights on Gordon. Eventually, Gordon was sent to the Denver Nuggets, who are a team that has all of the pieces in place to make a deep run in the playoffs.

According to reporter Mike Singer, Gordon recently made some interesting comments about his new role in Denver and the type of energy he plans to bring for the rest of the season. Needless to say, Gordon is extremely happy to be with a team that actually has a chance of winning a title.

“Being able to play meaningful games just allows me to go all out,” Gordon remarked. This should be great news for all of the Nuggets fans out there who are hoping for a repeat of last season, except with an NBA Finals appearance tacked on.

The Nuggets are a solid team right now and they have a lot of depth to work with when the going gets tough. At this point, Western Conference teams should be on notice.

Jack Harlow Celebrates Lou Williams Atlanta Trade Ahead Of ‘SNL’ Debut

Jack Harlow and newly traded Atlanta Hawks player Lou Williams stirred a bit of controversy last year when the athlete left the NBA Bubble to attend a funeral in his hometown. While in the A, he stopped by the coveted strip club/restaurant Magic City and snapped a photo with Harlow, raising discussions about whether or not Lou violated any NBA COVID-19 precautions. The rapper seems to have plenty of love for Williams, taking some time out to congratulate him on his recent trade as he prepares for his Saturday Night Live debut.

DJ Megan Ryte Teams Up With Drill Artist Sleepy Hallow For “Strapped”

DJ Megan Ryte is promoting her forthcoming debut album with three new singles, one of them in collaboration with Sleepy Hallow, who has been a major pioneer within Brooklyn’s drill scene. On this dark, hard-hitting track, Sleepy Hallow talks about sitting on top and being untouchable, being able to get whatever girl he wants and essentially evading any kind of consequence. “Your bitch a baddie, you can’t get her back / And she call me daddy only ’cause I rap,” Hallow raps.

“Strapped” showcases DJ Megan Ryte’s versatility as an artist and producer, as the drill scene is not one she normally covers on her famous radio show on New York’s legendary HOT 97. It’s clear that Megan wants to come out of the gate at full speed for her debut album, which drops on April 16th. Based on the three singles she’s released so far in anticipation of it, it’s bound to be an exhibition of her many talents.

Trapboy Freddy Revamps A Dallas Classic On “Oakcliff” Ft. Yella Beezy & More

It’s been over 10 years since Hotboy Star and Young Nino set Dallas ablaze by putting on for their neighborhood with, “Oakcliff That’s My Hood.” The regional anthem continues to shut down clubs within the region to this day, though it never witnessed that much success outside of the Dallas area. This week, Trapboy Freddy revamped the record, along with some assistance from its originators, as well as Smurf Franklin and Yella Beezy. “Oakcliff” is essentially a modernized take of the record that brings some prominent figures from the area to revisit the classic song.

The song was so big that apparently, people from outside of the area began claiming Oakcliff. “They started a fucking movement with that shit, bro,” Yella Beezy explained on HNHH’s On The Come Up of the impact of “Oakcliff That’s My Hood.” “Like, n***as that weren’t even from Oak Cliff, they were claiming that. Like, you had to really ask people their address, and who they knew, and what school, or who they hung with. Like, you had to dig into it because everybody wanted to false claim Oak Cliff at this time, when that song came out, you know what I’m saying?”

Check the song out below.
