Tom Brady Rookie Card Sells For Record $2.25

Tom Brady is breaking records, even in the off-season. According to ESPN, a Tom Brady rookie card was sold for a record $2.25 million this past Friday. A similar Brady rookie card sold in March for $1.32 million, and held the record until this one beat it out.

The card is a 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket card, and is autographed by Brady. It carries the serial number #99 out of #100. The card was graded an 8.5 with the autograph graded at a 9. The card’s buyer remains anonymous. Fitbit CEO James Park was the buyer of the other rookie card back in February. His was graded at an 8 with a 10 for the autograph.

Previous to these two Brady rookie card records, a Patrick Mahomes signed card sold for $861,000 earlier this year. The Mahomes card is only one of five. However, right before that (in January), another Brady card sold for just over half a million dollars. Seems like real life; Brady keeps winning and Mahomes snuck a record in there as well.

The sports card industry has been blowing up over the last year or so, and these numbers prove it. The industry seemed to fizzle out a bit in the 2010s, however, it is back with a force.

Sylvan LaCue Heals His Inner Child On “Young Sylvan Ep. 2”

Florida rapper Sylvan LaCue had a traumatic upbringing in Miami, but he’s ready to put his demons to rest once and for all on Young Sylvan Ep. 2. While the first installment of his newest February EP saw him being a bit more intense and standoffish, Young Sylvan Ep. 2 embraces emotion and vulnerability for the purpose of healing. “Whereas YS1 was rapid and abrasive, YS2 slows things down just enough for the listener to pick up patterns and see exactly what this whole thing is about,” LaCue said.

On tracks like “Power Rangers,” which was LaCue’s favorite show growing up, he wants the world to know that he’s invincible, and he isn’t taking anyone’s disrespect. “There was a sense of invincibility every time I watched [Power Rangers],” LaCue said. “This song was made with that same sentiment of invincibility.”

Sylvan LaCue’s descriptive and poignant storytelling skills are a frontrunner on the EP, especially on “Bowser In The Sky,” the project’s closing track, “I’ve seen all the morals go out the window and betrayal cross as soon as I looked up / Shook so many hands and delivered so many deeds without asking because the universe is peeping.” LaCue’s steadily building fanbase is sure to explode with this release, as vulnerability is not a virtue taken lightly.

Tracklist:

1. Penal Code 182.5 (feat. Drakeo The Ruler)
2. Trauma
3. Power Rangers (feat. Orianthi)
4. Peter Pan (feat. Grandmaster Vic)
5. P S 2 (feat. Grandmaster Vic)
6. Bowser In The Sky

Don Toliver, Gunna & Lil Uzi Vert Spotted Filming Video With Cole Bennett

Internet Money has undeniably become one of the most coveted production collectives in hip hop. As a group, they’ve managed to earn dozens of Billboard Hot 100 entries and numerous RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications as well. The label also released their debut album B4 the Storm last summer, with guest vocals from Future, Trippie Redd, Juice Wrld, and more. Next up on their agenda, the collective has an upcoming star-studded single with Don Toliver, Gunna, and Lil Uzi Vert on the way, with the trio spotted shooting the visual with Cole Bennett

“Internet Money, Don Toliver, Gunna, and Lil Uzi Vert are shooting a video with Cole Bennett,” read the text over the exclusive shot from the music video set. Toliver, Gunna, and Uzi are seen rocking orange and camouflage printed clothing as dust dramatically engulfs the background. The preview of the track suggests Toliver once again was staffed with delivering a compelling hook.

Under the post announcing the forthcoming collaboration, the production collective commented, “Here we go again,” likely referring to previous collaborations with Don Toliver and Gunna.

Internet Money has previously collaborated with both Don Toliver and Gunna on the smash hit like “Lemonade.” Are you looking forward to the new single? Do you think it’ll be a hit or a miss?

“The Falcon And The Winter Soldier” Debuts X-Men Location & Character In New Episode

Yes, we all know that Disney bought Fox and now both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are back with Marvel. The MCU will be getting a lot bigger, which is why they could take chances by killing off someone like Iron Man. Soon, we’ll have the likes of Wolverine, The Human Torch, Storm, The Thing, Cyclops, and more running around with the Avengers. And The Falcon and The Winter Soldier just took a huge step in making that happen.

This week’s episode, entitled Power Broker,” brought The Falcon and Winter Soldier to Madripoor. The fictional location plays a big role in X-Men history. Wolverine’s favorite bar, Princess Bar, even makes a quick appearance. For Marvel to specifically bring these two characters to Madripoor and show us Logan’s favorite spot wasn’t enough though.

Falcon and Bucky end up meeting with a character called Selby. In the comics, Selby had a brief appearance in the X-Men offshoot Excalibur. Selby was a man in the comics, although they gender-swapped him for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. At this point, it’s apparent that Marvel is slowly building X-Men lore so that they can introduce them. Which member of the main X-Men crew do you think they’ll bring to the screen first?

Boosie Badazz Claims A Woman Mistook Him For Flava Flav

Boosie is one of the more hilarious figures on social media and he isn’t afraid to speak his mind whenever he sees fit. This has led to some legendary rants over the years and even if you aren’t a hip-hop fan, you can probably recognize who Boosie is. Unfortunately for the artist, he had a run-in with one fan recently who hit him with a case of mistaken identity, which is never a fun time.

In the clip posted to Instagram, Boosie walks around a mall and angrily recounts an encounter he had with a woman who thought he was Flava Flav. Boosie put an end to that interaction extremely quickly as he noted that he is not, in fact, Flava Flav and that people should know who he is.

Misidentifying people on such an obvious level can certainly be seen as a sign of disrespect, so it shouldn’t be at all surprising that Boosie felt this way. After all, he and Flava Flav are two completely different people, and they should be respected as such.

Despite this, misidentification happens all of the time, so we’re sure this won’t be the last time it happens to Boosie. For his sake, we hope we are wrong on that one.

Toosii Takes A More Laid Back Approach On New Track “Back Together”

Toosii’s output so far has been impressing fans everywhere, especially those in his home state of New York. The artist has a ton of promise and with each new release, he displays growth in his songwriting ability, which is always the makings of a strong hitmaker. On Friday, he came right back to the fray with a new single called “Back Together,” and it sees the artist in a more vulnerable state.

This track plays much more like a ballad than anything else and it works to perfection. Toosii talks about his life and what he has been through, noting that he is trying to piece himself back together. He is doing this so that he can settle and down and not hurt any more people in his life. It’s a nice piece of self reflection that will make any fan want to tap in for more.

Quotable Lyrics:

Don’t even rush, yeah
You could learn a lot from me, already learned my dirty jokes, oh yeah
Ayy, slow down, no rush, I just want your touch, ah yeah, ayy
Let me hit in the morning, girl, when you yawning, yeah

Diplo Connects With Johnny Cash & $UICIDEBOY$ For “Zuccenberg”

Estonian rapper Tommy Cash continues to make a splash in America with his raucous energy. In preparation for his new project, MONEYSUTRA, Cash has graced his fans with a new single. “Zuccenberg” features the $UICIDEBOY$ and is produced by Diplo.

“This song is made in rage and frustration by the energy that has been boiling,” Cash explained. “You can hear in it all the canceled tours, shows, and the waiting! Postponing! Things shaded by the dumb ass virus. All my friends whose clubs got closed, jobs taken away. It has all in it. It represents all that boxed in energy, but at the same time it welcomes the future.”

Diplo’s bouncy instrumental gives the single an energetic and monstrous feel, while Cash and the $UICIDEBOY$ lay down absurd and abrasive lyrics. This is the type of music you hear at a rave or an insane house party. Crank “Zuccenberg” and let us know what you think below.

Quotable Lyrics
Pussy, money, weed — feel like Tommy Cash
Slicky slicky slick, fuck a bitches gash
Gucci bandana, Lean in my Fanta
Papa in my wrapper, free basing cracka
