Gwen Stefani And Saweetie Take Over A High School Gym In Their Exuberant ‘Slow Clap’ Video

Nearly four years removed from her latest studio album You Make It Feel Like Christmas, Gwen Stefani is ramping up for a comeback with Let Me Reintroduce Myself. After teasing one of its new songs, “Slow Clap,” on Instagram, she released the video today, complete with a guest appearance from pop-rap princess Saweetie.

The new song flows in the same vein as Stefani’s previous tracks with Eve: It’s got a dancehall/reggae vibe, upbeat lyrics, and a call-and-response chorus that encourages listeners to sing along. Even the video, which finds the two stars taking over a high school gym for some pep rally-style shenanigans, may remind fans of the video for “Hollaback Girl.”

Although Gwen hasn’t released much new music over the past few years, she’s been a hot commodity as a collaborator, working with her fiance Blake Shelton on “Nobody But You” and with dance-pop star Dua Lipa on the remix version of her album Club Future Nostalgia.

Meanwhile, Saweetie has been an in-demand guest star as well, popping up on Lil Tjay’s recently released album Destined 2 Win, and preparing to feature on Demi Lovato’s next album. Her fans also believe a collab with Nicki Minaj is in the works.

Miguel’s Trippy ‘So I Lie’ Video Reveals A Big Surprise For His Fans

After a nearly four-year hiatus, Miguel returned to the spotlight a few weeks ago, releasing the first three volumes of his Art Dealer Chic EP series on DSPs along with a new song, “Funeral.” Then, on New Music Friday this week, he followed up with Art Dealer Chic, Vol. 4 and the video for “So I Lie.” Some fans believe he reveals that he’s about to be a father through a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo from a very pregnant-seeming woman who looks a lot like his wife Nazanin. If so, it’d be a surprise to fans who follow the couple on social media, where they’ve given no hint of such a life change taking place.

Of course, the deception of social media fits with the theme of “So I Lie,” in which Miguel reflects on the fickle nature of fame. “Laugh and the world will laugh, too,” he mulls. “Cry and the world laughs at you, girl / So I lie to myself / Let’s be real, I’m afraid of how I feel / So I lie to the world.”

Appearing on Apple Music’s R&B Now Radio to talk about the new EP, Miguel told host Nadeska, “I want to make stadium R&B… I want to make big, ‘We Will Rock You’ R&B songs.”

DMX’s Organs Are “Failing By The Minute”: Report

Unfortunately, DMX’s condition reportedly has not improved since the last update, as TMZ is reporting that his organs are “failing by the minute”.

The rapper suffered a heart attack on Friday, which was triggered by a drug overdose. He was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York, where he has remained in a coma for the last week. Last night, there were multiple reports that DMX was taken off of life support, which were immediately refuted by his manager, Steve Rifkind. “Please stop with posting with the rumors. DMX is still alive,” he said in a video statement. The latest update from this morning regarding X’s health is not promising.

After the label’s Twitter account welcomed the Soulja World artist to its roster, Big Draco replied graciously with a simple “Thank you” and a slew of emojis.

OJ Simpson Weighs In On Deshaun Watson Situation

OJ Simpson has been through a lot over the course of his life, especially when it comes to legal battles. In the 90s, Simpson famously went on trial for the alleged murder of his wife, and in the end, he was found not guilty. Eventually, Simpson went to jail for another offense but since getting out of prison, he has taken to Twitter where he gives his hot takes on all things football.

Recently, Simpson made a video about Sam Darnold joining the Panthers. In that same clip, he also spoke about Deshaun Watson, who is being sued by 22 women for alleged sexual assault. Simpson weighed in on the ordeal saying that he is a big fan of the quarterback and that he hopes things work out for him. The former NFL player also believes there are parallels between him and Watson.

“Now, I’m a big fan of Deshaun’s — the man always had a sterling reputation and I’m a guy that knows what accusations can do your reputation,” Simpson said. “I would hate not to see him play again and I know we got to let the system work itself out, but my prayers are with him.”

Getting an endorsement from OJ isn’t exactly the best thing in the world although these days, Watson has very few people still on his side. As the months go on, the full scope of his legal battles will develop and we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates.

Mo3 & Boosie Badazz Trade Bars On “By The River”

Though Mo3 is no longer with us, his memory lives on through a new posthumous album Shottaz 4EvaWith guest appearances from Kevin Gates, YFN Lucci, and Boosie Badazz, the project features several highlight cuts displaying the late rapper’s versatility. One such track is “By The River,” a duet with his longtime collaborator Boosie Badazz, with whom he had a close friendship. Evidently, that friendship effectively translated into chemistry on wax, as this one is easily one of the album’s early highlights.

Over an up-tempo instrumental laced by Keise On Da Track, Mo3 sets it off with an animated opening verse. “Landlord in my apartment knockin’ at the door, got an eviction, I’m like fuck, I need to hit a lick,” he spits. “Catch a ni*ga lackin’, put a jackin’ on him / Stick the gun through the window just a lil bit.” Boosie steps up to match his stride, kicking a quick flow as he spits some violent bars. “He ain’t make it back home, he ain’t make it home, he felt it was comin’, guess he was ready,” raps Badazz. “He took a deep breath, said him a prayer / And threw up his fours at the paramedics.”

Check out “By The River” now, and if you like what you hear, show some love to the late Mo3 by streaming his brand new posthumous album.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

50 Cent Clowns Young Buck & Exposes One Of His Alleged “Boyfriends”

Young Buck has taken the last few weeks to try and convince his fanbase that the multi-year feud he’s had with 50 Cent was entirely staged. According to the Tennessee rapper, the beef was orchestrated by Fiddy in an attempt to revive Buck’s career. During a live stream, Buck said that the intention was to tear him down in order to build him back up. He stated that 50 would soon be confirming that the feud was fake. However, weeks later and Curtis Jackson is still sharing homophobic and transphobic jokes about Buck’s rumored sexual identity.

Inundated with rumors about his sexual identity, Young Buck has fought back against haters claiming that he has a preference for trans women. Recently, rapper Cub Da CookUpBoss shared a 30-minute video addressing the situation with Buck, in which he calls out the former G-Unit member, exposing one of his alleged “boyfriends”: a trans woman named Jazmine. Of course, 50 Cent had something to say about the video.

“It is what it is Bro,” wrote Fif on a video of the CookUpBoss calling out Buck. In the comments, people are urging 50 to simply stop antagonizing his former friend, asking him to let it go. He has also been embroiled in a feud with Snowfall actor De’Aundre Bonds, promising to blackball him from any future television projects he takes on.

Jorja Smith Goes Back & Forth With Sonder On The Toxic Single “Nobody But You”

With every song that he has dropped over the past couple of years, Brent Faiyaz has given Hip-Hop and R&B fans reason after reason for why they should be tapped in with his artistry, and his latest release is no different. Today, the artist has linked back with his critically acclaimed collective Sonder to give fans the group’s first single since 2019’s “What You Heard.”

Sonder’s new record, “Nobody But You,” features UK songstress Jorja Smith, and together, the artists have created a sentimental, yet toxic, ballad that will have fans clamoring for more.

The minimal acoustic soundscape is perfect for Sonder and Jorja’s collaboration, as it keeps the attention on Jorja’s angelic vocals and Brent’s signature heartfelt, yet simultaneously disrespectful, songwriting. “Nobody But You” finds artists trying to make amends to a broken relationship while dealing with the trauma and mistrust that ruined it in the first place, and Jorda and Brent absolutely nail that concept.

Check out the lyric video for Sonder and Jorja Smith’s new single “Nobody But You” below.

Quotable Lyrics

And I know you prolly thinkin’ I ain’t worth sh*t
But I’d never want anyone to bring you any harm
And I’d take it all back just have you in my arms
And I know for a fact who we were ain’t who we are
We are
