Fivio Foreign Returns With His First Video Of The Year “Self Made”

Fivio Foreign has no time for anybody that’s not out-performing him. And he knows that very few people are pulling his kind of numbers, so he’s not stooping to the level of his opps. On his first video release of the year for the AXL Beats-produced new single “Self Made,” the Brooklyn drill staple sends a warning to anybody that’s been dissing him– he doesn’t care about you or your two measly YouTube views. In his eyes, he’s above you.

Without a lack of confidence, the 31-year-old rapper gets brutally honest on his new song, rhyming about his own personal growth while tearing down the people who choose to challenge him. In the video, Fivi steps to the studio, shows behind-the-scenes footage from a photoshoot, and navigates the streets in his G-Wagon.

Watch the video below and stay tuned for more new music on the way from Fivio Foreign. He says he’s coming with the heat, dropping a new video every week. What do you think of this one?

Quotable Lyrics:

P***y, we don’t give a f*ck ’bout you and your two views
Uh, you gotta do more
Huh, and gang don’t need a deal
They gettin’ rich off of TuneCore
I’m ’bout to buy me a new Porsche
I’m with a b*tch gettin’ blewed off
I taste good, I’m too sauced

Quando Rondo Shares Cover Art & Release Date For “Still Taking Risks”

As a result of his close proximity to the tragic situation that resulted in King Von’s death, Quando Rondo is one of the most polarizing rising rappers in the music industry at the moment. Several fans of King Von and Chicago rap, in general, have pegged Quando Rondo to be the bad guy in Von’s death, but The Breakfast Club host Angela Yee’s recent interview with NBA YoungBoy’s signee suggests that there’s much more to the story than Hip-Hop fans originally thought.

Following admissions that he didn’t snatch King Von’s chain and deading rumors that he was recently shot, Quando Rondo has decided to capitalize off the fervor surrounding his name by formally announcing his next project. Today, in a series of Instagram posts, the Savannah, Georgia artist revealed the album artwork for his forthcoming mixtape, “Still Taking Risks.”

Regardless of whatever the project’s proper classification, Apple Music’s pre-order page for “Still Taking Risks” reveals that it will house 18 tracks and include the already available songs “Red Eye,” “Okay,” “Angel Wings,” “Soul Reaper,” and “End Of Story (Bonus).”

Will you be checking for Quando Rondo’s forthcoming project “Still Taking Risks” when it hits DSPs on May 7?

50 Cent Reacts To Pfizer Vaccine Announcement

We’re all learning as we navigate through this pandemic– even the scientists that we’re trusting to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Vaccines were quickly developed by some of the leading pharmaceutical companies within a year of the virus being declared a pandemic, including Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Astra-Zeneca, and others. Each of the options has faced a fair share of criticism, as the J&J jab was recently paused because of reports of a small percentage of people experiencing blood clots after getting the shot. The same criticism has applied to Astra-Zeneca.

This week, Pfizer’s CEO said that a third dose of the vaccine was likely needed within twelve months for the strongest level of immunity against the virus. As expected, people have reacted to the news strongly, considering their preferred option for the vaccine. 50 Cent was one of the people awe-struck by the news, making a post about it and seemingly opting not to get a vaccine altogether.

“So the baby powder joint giving women blood clots, and this one ain’t working,” said 50 Cent, reacting to the announcement from Pfizer’s CEO. For the record, Pfizer has not said that their vaccine “doesn’t work.” More accurately, the number of virus mutations will likely force us to have annual vaccinations for COVID-19, and Pfizer’s two-dose shot could simply be adjusted to better protect the public. “Wtf i’m going back in the house,” concluded Fif.

50 Cent has been hard at work on the upcoming television series BMF, which he has been teasing for years. With the news that Pfizer could be moving to a three-dose system, he seems unsure about whether he wants to get it at all.

What are your thoughts on Pfizer’s CEO’s comments? What’s your stance on the vaccine?

Big K.R.I.T. Returns With Baseball Banger “Pick Up The Pace”

Big K.R.I.T. wastes little time in getting to work on his brand new single “Pick Up The Pace,” an unsurprisingly up-tempo lyrical drop produced by the man himself. Given the nature of the title, K.R.I.T. comes through to hold it down with a quick flow, adding a touch of melody to his delivery in the opening moments. Before long, the floodgates are open and the Mississippi rapper is spitting bars, highlighting a skillset that gets slept on the in rap discourse all too often.

The track, which arrives as a collaboration with MLB: The Show, should serve as a welcome reminder of what K.R.IT is capable of — and to think, it feels like he’s only warming up. Sticking close to the baseball theme on a lyrical front, K.R.I.T’s ability to make a niche topic sound compelling speaks to his ability as an entertainer. While prolific enough to keep his fans entertained, a new project from the multi-talented lyricist would be a welcome addition to 2021’s release slate.

Check out K.R.I.T’s new collaboration with MLB The Show now, and sound off in the comments if you’re keen on a new album sooner than later.

Lil Nas X’s Father Defends The Rapper Against Allegations He Doesn’t Help His Struggling Mother

Lil Nas X faced some criticism recently after a video of his mother begging for money surfaced. The rapper has yet to publicly address the video, but now his father has come to his defense.

In an Instagram post, Nas’ father, Robert Stafford, wrote that the rapper does provide for his parents and that when it comes to his mother’s struggles, a lack of support from Nas isn’t part of the problem. He wrote, “Despite what people say @lilnasx is the greatest kid a parent can be BLESSED with. Although his mom is in a struggle with an addiction she’s STILL a QUEEN and he goes through great lengths to make sure we’re taking care of. Those who have family members and friends dealing with addiction understands that there ain’t enough money you can throw at this situation to make it right. I dont usually address personal issues publicly but felt like this need to be. Please join us in keeping her in your PRAYERS. And to those out there trying to create a false story you wont prosper. #controlthenarrative”

In an early 2020 interview, Nas said of his mother, “I never really talk about my mom. She’s an addict so we don’t have the closest relationship. Even trying to get her better — things didn’t quite work out. But there’s still love. The biggest surprise of becoming globally famous? On the outside, everybody loves you — but on the inside, everything [feels] the same.”

Kenny Mason & Freddie Gibbs Slow It Down On “Much Money”

Since releasing Angelic Hoodratlast April, Kenny Mason has been making a name for himself as one of the most captivating new Hip-Hop acts coming out of Atlanta right now. The young artist is known for experimenting with alternative rock soundscapes, but his talent as a lyricist is undeniable, as seen on his newly released Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut.

The new deluxe extension to his critically acclaimed debut features the slew of singles that Kenny has been dropping since February (including “Partments,” “Pup,” and “Rih”) as well as a couple of his previously heard 2020 “Ruff” singles. The Denzel Curry-assisted “A+” and the soul sampling “Much Money” made the Supercut, but the latter appeared on Kenny Mason’s deluxe album with a newly added and completely unexpected guest feature: Freddie Gibbs.

Check out Kenny Mason and Freddie Gibbs’ “Much Money” collaboration below, and be sure to give the rest of the Atlanta artist’s Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut album a listen here, as well.

Tee Grizzley & G Herbo Connect For “Never Bend, Never Fold”

Tee Grizzley has been steadily building up to an album, which would follow up last year’s The Smartestby delivering a steady stream of new singles. Today, the Detroit rapper has come through with a new ode to conviction, the G-Herbo-assisted “Never Bend, Never Fold.” Over a powerful piano-driven anthem produced by longtime Grizzley collaborator Chopsquad DJ, Grizzley and Herbo set it off with an exchange of brief verses.

“Rappers all the time but we savages at the crib,” raps Grizzley, as the beat builds around him. “Tell Minnie pull up foreign, tint the windows on this bitch / You know we plan on shootin’ first, if we ain’t bulletproofed this bitch.” Herbo picks up where he left off, feeding off Grizzley’s energy and adding additional force to the one-two punch. “Had a hunnid at my momma house, before rap,” reflects the Chi-Town rapper. “Left a ni*ga with his strap like he had no strap / Know somebody gotta die, we put it on cap.”

Though the brief length makes it feel like a warmup, albeit a high-intensity one, it’s evident that Herbo and Grizzley have solid chemistry that’s well worth exploring. Check out Tee Grizzley and G Herbo’s new duet now, and sound off if you’d welcome some new music from either rapper.

Fans React To “Slime Language 2”

At long last, Young Thug, Gunna, and the rest of the Young Stoner Life collective have released their latest studio album Slime Language 2. After teasing the body of work for nearly the last calendar year, initially announcing its release on Thug’s birthday in August, the family grows larger than ever before with new additions to the label, including YTB Trench, FN Da Dealer, and Unfoonk. Despite several fumbled campaigns to get the album’s rollout started, Slime Language 2 is out now with so many high-profile collaborations that you’ll need to do a double-take when looking at the tracklist to make sure you haven’t missed anybody.

The album is packed from start to finish with support from Drake, Travis Scott, Future, Kid Cudi, NAV, Lil Baby, Coi Leray, Rowdy Rebel, Big Sean, Skepta, Meek Mill, YNW Melly, and more. Of course, Young Thug also placed a spotlight on his label’s lesser-known stars, like Strick, T-Shyne, Karlae, Dolly White, HiDoraah, Yak Gotti, and Yung Kayo. Thug and Gunna also shine on multiple songs from the project, most notably on “Ski,” “Proud Of You,” and “Solid.”

Despite the release only taking place ten hours ago at the time of publication, people are reacting positively to the new release. While some are put off by the twenty-three song tracklist, others are pointing out how the number of guest verses sets things back on the right end, always offering a new sort of flavor.

Let us know what you think of Slime Language 2 and stay tuned for our review of the album next week. Listen to the album here.

Kenny Mason Extends 2020’s “Angelic Hoodrat” With An Impressive & Versatile “Supercut”

After months of impressive singles, Kenny Mason has finally returned with Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut. Since earlier this February, the Atlanta artist has been getting fans and listeners ready by dropping off experimental and genre-hopping singles such as “Partments,” “Pup,” “Play Ball,” and “Rih.”

Now, the Angelic Hoodrat himself has dropped the long-awaited Supercut, which serves as a deluxe extension to last spring’s Angelic Hoodrat. The new project arrives on April 16, 2021, almost exactly one year after Angelic Hoodrat landed on April 15, 2020. Supercut, while technically being a deluxe, actually hits steaming services as a project of its own.

Contrary to 2020’s Angelic Hoodrat, Kenny Mason’s deluxe Supercut isn’t an entirely solo outing. The project not only includes guest appearances from other artists; it boasts high-profile contributions from rappers and singers such as Denzel Curry, Freddie Gibbs, Angel White, and Ambar Lucid. At twelve tracks, the deluxe album further exemplifies Kenny’s versatility, expounding on his signature glitchy rap and alternative rock sound with bubbly trap beats, soul sampling lyrical exercises, and smooth, spaced-out melodies.

Check out Kenny Mason’s Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut below and let us know how you’re feeling about the Atlanta artist’s latest release.
