Jaleel White Reveals He “Was Not Welcome” By “Family Matters” Cast

From 1989 to 1998, Family Matters dominated the television industry. Millions of people tuned in to watch the Winslows exchange quips with their nosy, nerdy neighbor Steve Urkel, and while the wholesome show exuded love and acceptance, Jaleel White is about to rock the boat with a few revelations. White portrayed the character of Steve Urkel from his adolescence into his young adulthood, and until today, people stop him to say his signature line, “Did I do that?”

In a clip from White’s upcoming appearance on TV One’s Uncensored, the TV star recalls not being accepted when he first came onto the series.

“I was not welcome to the cast at all,” said the actor. Urkel became the top-tier star of Family Matters, even though the character wasn’t slated to be a part of the cast. “It was supposed to only be a guest spot… One and done.” In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment back in February, White was asked if he would be open to a Family Matters reboot. The actor was unsure if Urkle would work today.

“Well, you know, I have some things that I would love to do with the legacy,” White said months ago. “I think the safest place to start with would be an adequate reunion if one were to be arranged… I personally don’t believe there’s a modern-day Urkel. I just– I don’t. That’s like saying, is there a modern-day Pee-Wee Herman or a modern-day Ed Grimly? You know, those characters are almost just burned in time. I don’t want to see it explored for what it could be now.”

Watch the brief preview of Jaleel White’s feature on Uncensored below. The episode airs this Sunday (May 9).

Azealia Banks Responds To Lil Baby’s Tweet: “It’s Your Own Stupidity”

Recently, Lil Baby had a few words about people getting into arguments over women, but Azealia Banks has a different take. “We gotta stop letting these females be the reason behind the beef !” Lil Baby tweeted over the weekend. The comment was met with polarizing responses, and one came from Asian Doll who said that men are often the ones who act dramatically.

She’s not one to mince words and Azealia Banks unleashed a scathing take on Lil Baby’s tweet. “Or just stop being uneducated drug addicts and killing each other like f*cking rabid monkeys….. That is also an option ya know,” she wrote.

Rubi Rose Denies Designer’s Claims That She Won’t Return Clothing

A Bad Girls Club alum is accusing Rubi Rose of keeping items that don’t belong to her. Often, stylists will partner with designers or stores to pull clothing for their celebrity clients. The items are worn on red carpets, in music videos, for photoshoots, during concerts, and more, and later the clothing is returned to its origins and everyone received a bit of publicity.

Bad Girls Club star JeLaminah Lanier claims that is exactly what happened with Rubi Rose and she publicly called out the rapper for not returning her Normal Culture clothing items. However, Rubi Rose doesn’t think this is her problem.

“Ok so I let a stylist friend of mine pull looks for @RubixxRose from my showroom. This was at the end of February, I keep asking for my stuff back and I’m getting the runaround and I don’t appreciate it,” JeLaminah wrote. “This girl even performed in my outfit. Never said thank you or acknowledged. Never acknowledged my brand. @RubixxRose I want my stuff back and I want it back today. You live in DTLA just like I do. On the same street to be exact. Run me my Normal Culture stuff. I’m tired of asking and practically begging at this point.”

“What’s sad is that I actually liked @RubixxRose. Very cute girl. But [in] this life have to do right or their will be consequences. At the very least when you performed, you coulda tagged my brand then. I wouldn’t have cared about when the other stuff was given back.” The rapper was made aware of JeLaminah’s complaint and commented that she’s not responsible.

“I don’t know shorty or her brand. Thank you for the clothes. You should talk to @thatssokhalil , I have nothing to do with that. I charge for promo, there must have been a mishap,” Rose responded. Check out the tweets below and let us know who you think is at fault.

DJ Khaled, Lil Baby, And Lil Durk Bring The Fire In Their Video For ‘Every Chance I Get’

Back in 2019, when DJ Khaled dropped his 11th album, Father of Ashad, he released a boatload of videos within the first 24 hours. With his new album Khaled Khaled, he’s doing something similar, though at a much slower rate this time around. The latest is for “Every Change I Get,” and it finds the rapper stasnding side by side with Lil Baby and Lil Durk, all of them surrounded by women, luxury cars, burning objects, and more, all while Durk and Baby deliver verses about their relentless pursuit of success.

The new video is the fourth that Khaled’s has released in five days. He kicked things off with a lavish one for “Sorry Not Sorry,” with Jay-Z and Nas, before heading to Jamaica to connect with reggae artists Buju Banton, Capleton, and Bounty Killer for their collaboration “Where You Come From.” Next, he called on Lil Wayne and Jeremih for the album’s intro track, “Thankful.”

As for Durk and Baby, the two rappers are currently working on their joint album, The Voice & The Hero, which is set to arrive in the near future.

Lil Nas X Has Fun With Trolls, Doesn’t Care About Offending Straight Fans

He’s preparing for his performance on Saturday Night Live, but first, Lil Nas Xenjoying the limelight of his Entertainment Weekly feature. The singer has been a controversial hot topic after releasing his “Montero” single back in March. The song itself ruffled feathers for the more conservative audience as it references gay sex, but it was the music video that sent people over the edge.

The religious imagery and devil lapdances were intended to call forth the public’s hypocrisies, but there was such a movement against the single that Lil Nas X had to recall his “Satan Shoes” and “Montero” was pulled from streaming services. Nas X previously shared that he’d been waiting nine months to release “Montero,” and he recently told EW that he did have concerns about his heterosexual fanbase.

“At first I was really afraid of alienating any of my straight fans,” he said. “But then it was kind of like, if they feel offended, they were never really here for me. They were here for whatever version of myself they made up in their head.” The “Old Town Road” artist also spoke about his trolls, noting that when he was first gaining attention, he didn’t have time for negativity. However, he’s learned to have fun with it.

“When I first got famous, I would block everybody,” said Nas X. “But now it’s like, okay, cool. For me, I would rather somebody hate the s— out of me when they’re talking about me rather than not say anything at all, because that’s giving more power to my name… I’m very much a chaotic, good person. I almost never want to start shooting at somebody who didn’t bring it to my doorstep, you know?”

“But I kind of live for when somebody tries to get me and I’m ready to throw it back at them tenfold,” he added. “Do I feel bad about it sometimes? Every now and then, but I feel less bad knowing that I didn’t start it. I try to never throw stones, but if somebody throws one at me, I’m throwing an entire house.”
