Asian Doll Argues With King Von’s Ex Over Relationship, Cheating, & Babies

Another day, another argument on social media by women close to King Von. The rapper lost his life back in November during a reported altercation with Quando Rondo’s entourage in Atlanta, and since that time, Von has been at the center of several arguments online. They often involve his half-sister, Kayla B, or Asian Da Brat, someone who regularly tributes the late rapper. The latter was back at it, this time with a woman named Jamiyah as they squabbled over who Von wanted more while throwing around allegations.

Jamiyah tweeted about sneaking around with Von before she and Asian Doll became embroiled in their spat. “I GOT 50k ,  a ring & a HOUSE,” wrote the rapper. “[And] him.” Jamiyah refuted her claims. “Von didn’t give yo ass no 50k ! Stop the cap!!! If he got you a ring you would have been posted it & you got your own house [crying emojis]… Stop stunting for yours fans Girlll he left you!!!!” Von’s ex wasn’t letting up.

“Even tho i never took a plan b u had to get abortions and crackers” Jamiyah tweeted, adding “Didn’t even want a baby by you was scared it was gone be ugly [crying laughing emojis].” Asian Doll retorted, “I ain’t want a baby cause I ain’t no dummy P*ssy too good fasho I GIT CUFFED & WIFE within 2days of knowing him [crying emoji] baby would’ve been beautiful fasho.”

“Tweet about that n*gga who passed away that cuff that weak ass p*ssy leave mines alone he ain’t cuff that weak Sh*t,” replied Doll. “Lil Chlamydiaaaaaaaa.” Jamiyah struck back by saying, “If my p*ssy weak why he kept cheating on you [crying laughing emoji] STUPID MAN.” We don’t suspect that this is the end of the back-and-forth. Vanessa Bryant Checks Meek Mill Over “Insensitive” & “Disrespectful” Kobe Bryant Lyric

After the snippet of an unreleased collaboration with Lil Baby went viral, Meek Mill found himself on the receiving end of backlash. The Philadelphia rapper is heard in the clip rapping the line, “Yeah, and if I ever lack I’m goin’ out with my choppa / It be another Kobe,” and the public quickly denounced him for his choice of bars. Meek seemed defiant in his response and even shared an image of a hat with Kobe Bryant and his late 13-year-old daughter Gianna’s names on it to show he wasn’t being disrespectful, but he didn’t offer the apology that many believe he should have given.

The controversy soon dissipated and new viral moments have taken its place, but almost a week later, Vanessa Bryant has come forward to address the lyrics. “Dear @meekmil , I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period,” Kobe’s widow shared to her Instagram Story. “I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this.”

“If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband,” she continued. “This lacks respect.” Soon, Meek resurfaced with a tweet. “I’m going back savage in this sh*t … f#%k ya feelings!” he wrote. It’s unclear what he’s referring to, but you can check out the posts below.

Marlo Smith & DJ Paul Chop It Up About NYC’s Drill Scene, Respecting Your Rap Elders & TuneCore

Marlo Smith, New York rapper and previous TuneCore “Heat Seekers” contest winner in April 2020, joined DJ Paul and Odalys in a new episode of Mafia Radio to discuss his grind as an independent artist, his upcoming album, legends in the rap game, the drill scene in New York City, and a shared love for Kanye West, despite the controversy surrounding him.

The rapper is proudly independent, with distribution through TuneCore, a relationship that has resulted in its own rewards, not to mention, the fact that Smith maintains complete control and ownership of his music. Speaking on the independent distribution platform, Smith said, “I have a relationship there that’s super genuine, and they really care about taking my craft to the next level. And they also have a lot of reporting stuff, backend analytics, to show you where your fans at, where that money coming in, all that stuff that you need.” Smith is not missing out on a cent, saying, “They just added TikTok a few months ago, after it started blowing up like crazy. Even Instagram now, when you doing the stories.”

While Smith grew up in Florida, the history and energy of NYC runs in his blood and shines through in his music. Veteran artists still heavily influence the genre today, and DJ Paul took this into account, asking Marlo how he feels about younger artists not necessarily remembering or respecting their elders.

The rapper told DJ Paul that at the end of the day, it’s disrespect. “Even if it wasn’t in rap it would be disrespect because you’re taught to respect your elders,” Smith said. “You come from somewhere; It’s ignorant to think that the thing you’re doing is the only thing that’s been done.” Smith carried on mentioning that whether young artists believe it or not, they are still standing on a foundation that OG rappers built.

While discussing trends and influences in rap, Odalys mentioned the rapid growth of the drill scene in New York. According to the rapper, there isn’t a place you can go without hearing drill music, and he believes the late Pop Smoke took it to an entirely different level. DJ Paul chimed in and mentioned the movie he starred in before his death, Boogie, set to hit theatres on March 5, and wondered about the type of influence he would’ve had on the rap community if he were still alive today.

The Mafia Radio hosts and Marlo clearly believe he was about to take over as an actor as well. “I see a lot of 50 in him,” Smith added.

DJ Paul went on to talk about his love and respect for Kanye, as both an artist and as a fashion icon. The hosts brought up Kanye’s importance to the fashion industry and the quality of Yeezy shoes.

“Yeah you can work out in them, step out in the club in them,” Smith added. “Them things is serious.”

UCLA Gymnast Margzetta Frazier Was Moved To Tears After Janet Jackson Gushed Over Her Floor Routine

The UCLA gymnastics team has earned a reputation for their stellar floor routines in recent years, and junior Margzetta Frazier has been in the center of the spotlight. In year’s past, the athlete graced headlines after some of her routines included both voguing and soul-inspired dance moves. More recently, Frazier competed with a routine to Janet Jackson’s music — and the singer loved it so much that she personally thanked the gymnast.

After a video went viral of Frazier nailing a floor routine to a medley of Jackson’s music, the singer was able to get in contact with the gymnast. During their FaceTime call, captured by TMZ, Jackson gushed over Frazier’s skills and even asked to be her student:

“I would one day love to tumble. And if I do, I would for you to teach me. I did it once in the video ‘The Pleasure Principle’ and the way it was shot, people didn’t think that it was me, but it was me doing the back flip. I would love for you to teach me. Hopefully I won’t break anything. But I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for sharing your talent, it was so beautiful to see you tumble, it was really inspiring. It just inspired me to want to do more, do better, and be stronger. I loved it, absolutely loved it. […] I would love to meet you next time I’m in LA and just sit down and chat, I really would.”

Jackson’s words apparently inspired Frazier to “do more, do better, and be stronger” because after their call, Frazier headed straight to a meet and performed her best. Per TMZ’s report, Frazier recorded personal bests both on the beam and on the vault.

Kandi Burruss Labeled A Side Chick By Father Of Her Eldest Daughter Riley

Dedicated fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will remember years ago when Kandi Burruss tried to get her eldest daughter, Riley, to form a bond with her father, Russell “Block” Spencer. He appeared on the series for only a handful of episodes as Kandi rehashed her relationship with Block but it looked as if there were issues all around, some that were never shared on Bravo’s hit reality show. Block recently cleared things up and gave his side of the story, telling a radio station that Kandi was his side chick who got pregnant and aired him out to his girlfriend at the time.

“When I was dealing with Kandi, I already had a family,” Block told Hot 107.9. “So, I had a daughter outside of that. Then, when you go behind my back and you call my girl at home and tell her you pregnant… Now my girl at home said, ‘B*tch, f*ck you.’ So now, I’m caught up in the beef of—what’s right is that I’m gon’ take care of my kids ’cause that’s my responsibility. But, if you choose to keep your kid over there and don’t bring ’em over here, then that’s you.”

“One thing about me, I’m not gon’ chase you at all,” he continued. “If you want me to put a check in the mail I’mma do that, I did that for 14 years.” Block claimed that when their daughter turned 14, Kandi stepped in to say that he needs to have more of a relationship with Riley. He suggested that they didn’t reach out and added, “I just don’t jump through hula hoops doing stuff like that. It just ain’t never been me.”

“Raising kids is real sensitive when you gotta have—okay, to me, when your kids don’t live with you, it’s always gonna be hard to raise them the way you want to raise them. Especially with her [because] it was some sideline sh*t and it happened and it got out of control.” Because he had four children with his lady, he wanted to keep the drama to a minimum.

“[Riley’s] 18 now. She’s going to college now. I wish her well and I’m here for her,” said Block. Watch him explain fatherhood, his past relationship with Kandi, and how he’s been navigating raising children in the music industry below.

CupackKe Claims She Didn’t Know Tyler, The Creator & Tyler Perry Aren’t The Same

It all seems like trolling on the part of cupcakKe, but still, the rapper’s antics received attention. There was a bit of confusion over on Twitter recently after a 2012 tweet from Tyler, The Creator popped up on the social media platform. New life has been breathed into Tyler’s message, “Soap In My D*ck And It Burns Like F*ck,” after rapper cupcakKe retweeted the years-old post with a note that suggested she believed that her fellow rapper was Tyler Perry.

“This is why I don’t watch Tyler Perry,” wrote cupcakKe in a quoted tweet. It would seem impossible to not know who Tyler, The Creator is while simultaneously being a rapper in the industry as the songwriter, producer, visual artist, and festival host has amassed a number of awards, including a Grammy last year after IGOR took home Best Rap Album.

The public was quick to correct cupcakKe and she returned with another tweet. “This n*gga change his name to ‘Tyler the creator‘ n*gga them movies are ass keep it at Tyler perry.” Still, some were convinced that she was just trolling, but when someone told her it’s not the right person, she apologized.

“I ok sorry I’m deleting I didn’t kn,” cupcakKe replied. That didn’t stop the reactions from pouring in. Check out cupcakKe’s tweet and more below.

Roddy Ricch Marks Himself Safe After Shots Were Fired At His Video Shoot

It looks like new music is on the way from Roddy Ricch, whose breakout track “The Boxdominated charts this summer. But unfortunately for the rapper and his crew, shots rang out on set at a video shoot Sunday. Several hours after the news broke, Ricch has now taken to social media to let fans know he was unharmed.

Per a report from WSB-TV Atlanta, Ricch and his collaborator 42 Dugg were filming at a scrap yard in south Atlanta when shots were fired. 42 Dugg took to his Instagram Stories to clarify that he did not get shot and thanked his followers for their concern. Now, Ricch has similarly marked himself safe in a tweet. “aint nobody shoot at me. we all good,” he wrote following the incident. “im juss tryna feed the streets.”

Two members of the film crew, Antoine Blake, and Vernon Moulder, were hit by the bullets but were able to take themselves to a nearby hospital. Another attendee of the video shoot, Peter Cook, was injured by debris resulting from the chaos. Teresa Lakes, a medic who was on set to assist with COVID screening, described the scene, “Everyone started running, trying to get out or take cover; lot of places to take cover in there,” she said. “Anyone that was injured, I laid hands on ’em to make sure they were OK. Just glad it wasn’t a lot worse than it could have been… could have been worse.”

Travis Barker Reveals Lil Uzi Vert, Pharrell, & Grimes Will Appear On Blink-182 Album

Travis Barker has a long-standing reputation for collaborating with Rap artists, but his band Blink-182 is mixing things up, as well. The Pop-Punk icons are preparing for the release of their ninth studio album, a follow-up to 2019’s NINE. The group has been in the game since 1995 and has accumulated all of the successes that artists vie for, especially rock stars, but they aren’t quite finished sharing their talents.

During his visit to Spotify’s podcast Rock This with Trippie Redd, Barker spilled the beans on a few appearances on Blink’s next project, also revealing that the album is “60 percent” completed. “There’s like a song with Grimes right now that’s really, really cool that I love,” said the drummer. “There’s a song with Uzi that’s really, really cool that we did with Pharrell.”

He made sure to clarify that this isn’t Blink’s attempt to switch genres. “I mean, it’s not like Blink’s making a Rap song or anything. It’s like bringing Uzi over to our world. So it’s more of a Punk kind of like reggae feeling song,” said Barker. “I don’t think Blink will ever be anything but a Pop-Punk band… I mean, that’s who we are and I feel like our fans have kind of journeyed with us when we’ve done songs like ‘Miss You’ or ballads like ‘Adam’s Song.'”

“But, like, we’re never going to veer too far off from what we are. Like, I’m like a punk kid at heart, you know what I mean?” Last July, Barker also shared that Blink has an “amazing” unreleased collaboration with the late Juice WRLD, so that may be on the record, as well. Killer Mike Comes Down On Shooters Who Destroyed Barbershop Windows

It’s safe to say that most of the U.S. is ready for life to get back into the swing of things. There have been various cities operating with lax pandemic rules but for many others, mandates are still in place. Atlanta has been a hotbed for parties and events, but Killer Mike waited until the appropriate time before re-opening his barbershop in the city. He was reportedly preparing for his big day when he recently received a call that someone shot out the windows to the shop.
