Chris Weidman Is Already Walking On His Own After Brutal Leg Break

Back in April, Chris Weidman suffered a devastating injury while in the Octagon with Uriah Hall. While attempting a leg kick early in the match, Weidman’s leg gave out on him which led to a truly gruesome scene. At the time, it seemed like Weidman would never compete in the UFC again and there were even worries about what his recovery could be like.

Now, Weidman is showcasing perhaps one of the quickest recoveries we have ever seen when it comes to such a massive injury. In the video clip below, Weidman can be seen walking on his own without a boot or even so much as a cane. While he does have a limp, Weidman looks amazing and he’s only just a month into rehab.

“I started walking on my own today. Big day. I appreciate all the love and support it has motivated me so much,” Weidman wrote. For now, there is no word on when he might return to the Octagon, and given what’s happened, there’s no guarantee he would even want to go back. Regardless, his recovery just goes to show what can happen when you’re determined enough to prove people wrong.

Future To Fight Against Paying Child Support To Eliza Reign In Court

Future became the father of eight children with eight different women last year after DNA tests confirmed that the newborn baby of model Elia Reign was officially his. The two have been engaged in a pretty serious legal battle since then, first battling over two-year-old Reign’s paternity in the spring of 2019 before further bickering about child support payments.

Despite a judge ordering the Atlanta rapper to pay $3,200 rather than the $53,000 a month Eliza had initially requested and the $1,000 monthly he offered to pay, it seems they are still not seeing eye to eye. Unable to handle their issues outside of court as ruled by the family court judge assigned to the case, Future and his legal team are requesting courts to set a trial date to deal with things.

The “Life is Good” artist and Eliza have continued to bicker very publically, with the rapper telling the world that Eliza had dubbed the young baby a “check baby.” After DNA results confirmed his paternity he vehemently denied prior, a judge ordered Future to pay $3,200 a month to aid in baby Reign’s care.

In response to this ruling, Eliza requested a judge to subpoena the rap star’s finances, record contracts, and business accounting in hopes of providing enough evidence to increase the child support payments.

Future’s legal team requesting a trial date may point towards the two parties finally being ready to move closer to resolving their dispute. Hopefully, the new hearing will bring a resolution that satisfies both sides

Juice WRLD’s Estate Hit With A Lawsuit By A Producer Who Claims The Rapper Stole Parts Of His Song

On Friday, Juice WRLD’s estate shared an anniversary edition of the late rapper’s debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance, which came with an updated version of “Lucid Dreams” with Lil Uzi Vert and a new track titled “734.” But its arrival came with new trouble for the rapper’s estate. A producer who goes by Ghost Loft sued them, claiming the Juice WRLD’s 2018 song “Scared Of Love” features 16 stolen bars from Loft’s 2013 song “So High.” He pointed out that Juice WRLD and another producer, Mitch Mula, are the only credited names on “Scared Of Love.”

Loft also claims that during a later conversation, Mula told him that “Scared Of Love” features a sample from “So High.” As a result, Loft filed the lawsuit against Mula, Juice WRLD’s mother, the executioner of his estate Carmella Wallace, and Juice WRLD’s labels, Universal Music Group and Interscope. He’s seeking compensation for damages, a writing credit, and an injunction that stops the estate from making money off “Scared Of Love.”

Fans of Juice WRLD will soon receive more music from the late rapper in the form of Maroon 5’s “Can’t Leave You Alone,” a track from the band’s upcoming album Jordi which arrives on June 11. It will serve as his latest posthumous track of the year, the last one being with Post Malone and Clever on “Life’s A Mess II.”

Lil Uzi Vert is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Goodbye & Good Riddance (Anniversary Edition) is out now via Grade A Productions/Interscope Records. Get it here.

LeBron James Gets Nostalgic With Carmelo Anthony Birthday Post

Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James entered the NBA in 2003 and there was a debate about which one should be the number one overall draft pick. In the end, it was LeBron who got picked first all while Melo went to the Denver Nuggets. Over the last 18 seasons, both of these players have put up Hall of Fame-worthy numbers and to this day, they are still playing at a high level. What makes things even more wholesome, is the fact that these two were best friends coming into the league and they have maintained that friendship even despite their rivalries over the years.

Today, Anthony turns 37 years old, and to celebrate, James took to Instagram where he posted some great photos of the two together. From their draft night to their early days in the NBA and even to their days as teammates with Team USA, every single era of their friendship is represented here. Needless to say, LeBron cares a great deal about Melo.

Per LeBron:

“SCREAMING HAPPY GDAY to my brother @carmeloanthony! Who would ever think that 20 years ago when two strangers sat on those steps outside late in the night at the hotel in Delaware(for HOURS) for The Slam Dunk on the Beach High School tournament. We began talking about everything in our lives that was going on, that if it would ultimately result in a friendship and brotherhood bond nobody could ever break no matter how badly they wanted too! I’m proud of you man, TRULY AM! You’ve always been YOU and someone I know I can always call on rather I need it or not! LOVE YOU KING MELO! Peace God!”

Both men are currently in the midst of yet another playoff run, with LeBron and his Lakers leading the Suns 2-1, all while Melo is down to the Denver Nuggets, 2-1. If they both pull off wins in their respective series’ then they will face each other in the second round. If this happens, then the league is for a treat.

Baby Keem Asks If He “Humbled Madonna” After Her “Durag Activity” Tweet

Baby Keem and Travis Scott’s April-released collaborative single “Durag Activity” has quickly become a favorite for listeners of both artists. The single is expected to be featured on Keem’s forthcoming project, which is, according to the California rapper, expected to arrive “very, very…what rhymes with soon?”

It seems like one of pop music’s biggest icons is also feeling Keem’s latest single, so much so that she took to Twitter to share her admiration for it, raising the eyebrows of many social media users.

“Durag activity……….,” tweeted Madonna on Thursday (May 29) as the caption of a throwback photo of herself rocking a printed black bandana, adding a sunglasses emoji. Garnering nearly 6.7k retweets with comments compared to 1.1k retweets, many people swiftly pointed out to the pop legend that what she was wearing was actually not a durag.

“Madonna that is not a durag, that’s a bandana! you can’t wear a durag. i know this. how old is Madonna?” asked one user in awe. Keem himself responded to the tweet, cheekily penning, “…Can I send you a Durag ?” with a kissy-face emoji.

He added in a second tweet, “Did I humble Madonna?” The “Like A Virgin” hitmaker joins the long-running list of pop stars who have notoriously overstepped their place within the lines of cultural appreciation versus appropriation.

As mentioned previously, the Los Angeles rapper formally announced his upcoming project The Melodic Blue the same day he unleashed “Durag Activity.” While there’s been no word yet on when the project is officially set to arrive, let us know down in the comments if you’re looking forward to it.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Bred Reimagined” Coming Soon: First Look

Over the last few decades, sneakerheads have seen a ton of incredible Air Jordan models make their way to the market. Some have proven to be more iconic than others and the further you go back in the Michael Jordan lineage, the more iconic models you will find. This is especially true with the Air Jordan 1, which came out in 1985. The “Bred” colorway was an immediate hit upon release and the black and red aesthetics will forever stand the test of time.

Now, it would appear as though the colorway will be coming back in 2021 although with a twist. According to @zsneakerheadz, the “Bred Reimagined” will be dropping on October 23rd and as you can see in the Instagram post below, the shoe is made entirely of patent leather. Of course, the first “Bred” model had regular leather although this new model will give sneakerheads a much flashier template to work with. Regardless of the new materials, this is still the colorway everyone knows and loves, which means these are probably going to sell out very fast.

The October 23rd release date has yet to be confirmed by Jordan Brand so keep it locked to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest news and updates. In the meantime, let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Russell Westbrook’s Status Remains Uncertain Prior To Game 3

Russell Westbrook made headlines this past week after he had popcorn dumped on his head by a fan. It was a truly disappointing situation that made Philadelphia 76ers fans look bad. Westbrook was rightfully upset about the situation, especially since he was in the midst of coming off of the court due to an injury. Westbrook had tweaked his ankle on a play and it was clear that he couldn’t keep going despite wanting to be there for his teammates.

According to reporter Fred Katz, Westbrook’s injury status ahead of Game 3 on Saturday night remains fairly uncertain. The superstar point guard has been listed as “Questionable” which means he will most likely be a game-time decision. This is worrisome news for the Wizards as they are currently down 2-0 in the series and desperately need a win in order to retain some sort of control.

The Wizards fought very hard to get into the playoffs as they went on a tear throughout the last month of the regular season. Not to mention, they are currently playing an incredibly strong first seed, in the 76ers. They weren’t expected to win the series although you can’t help but praise them for getting this far.

It certainly wouldn’t have been possible without Westbrook.
