Tyler Herro’s Boxing Skills Roasted By NBA Fans

Tyler Herro had himself an incredible rookie season although this past year, he suffered a massive sophomore slump. There are now rumors that he could be traded elsewhere, and it seems like Miami is worried about just how much Herro wants to become some sort of celebrity. Regardless, Herro is still a strong talent in the NBA and throughout the offseason, he has been trying new things to work on his game.

In fact, Herro has been putting in work when it comes to the sport of boxing. Everyone seems to be trying the sport these days and Herro is no different. In the clip below, the Heat star can be seen throwing some wild punches that have him winding up pretty far backward.

Herro’s form had a lot of fans talking on social media, as they were quick to point out that he is going to throw out his shoulder if he continues to box like this. Some were even roasting the trainer for not trying to improve Herr’s punching technique. Either way, Herro still has a lot to learn if he’s going to make it in boxing.

Britney Spears Reportedly Called 911 About Her Conservatorship Just A Day Before Her Explosive Hearing

Despite its 13-year existence, the public continues to learn more and more about Britney Spears’ conservatorship, and more specifically, how the singer herself feels about it. During a court hearing last month, she labeled the court arrangement as “abusive” and pleaded for a judge to terminate it. While the conservatorship was not removed, the singer’s desire for its end was not hidden at all in the days leading up to the hearing.

According to an investigation conducted by The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow and Jia Tolentino, Britney made a 911 call on the eve of the June 23 hearing to “report herself as a victim of conservatorship abuse.”

The publication confirmed the call thanks to a person close to the singer and law enforcement in Ventura County, California. Normally, emergency calls in California are accessible to the public, but the county sealed the records of the call citing an ongoing investigation. They added that the singer’s team began “texting one another frantically” as they were all worried about what Spears could say in court the following day.

The same report from The New Yorker also revealed that the conservatorship controls Spears so tightly that she was often forced to borrow phones from strangers at gyms and grocery stores.

“Last time she called me, she was at Ralphs, in Calabasas,” her former manager Sam Lufti said in the article. “After she hung up, I got a call from the same number — it’s an Asian doctor, who says, ‘Wow, this is surreal, Britney just borrowed my phone.’ Five years ago, she borrowed a phone at the gym and just made off with it.”

Barack Obama Pens Heartfelt Post For 4th of July & Malia’s Birthday

Today, July 4, marks the United States’ Independence Day, meaning fireworks and cookouts for people living in the States as well as innumerable celebratory posts from the country’s most notable politicians. For former president Barack Obama, however, the Fourth of July is an incredibly exciting day because it’s also his daughter Malia’s birthday.

Malia Obama is Barack’s eldest daughter, and since graduating high school, she has been living her life to the fullest while studying at Harvard, from getting lit at Lollapalooza to starring in a music video. Still, as Malia continues to grow up, it’s clear that she and her father maintain a close relationship, and Obama’s endearing post is proof of that.

Rachel Nichols Exposed For Rant About Diversity And Maria Taylor

Rachel Nichols has been a prominent host on ESPN over the last few years as she has always been in the thick of the station’s NBA coverage. She is a host on The Jump and for the last few years, she has also been on NBA Countdown. Recently, Nichols was replaced on NBA Countdown by Maria Taylor, and back in July of 2020, Nichols was caught on tape saying some disparaging remarks about ESPN’s decision to hire Taylor.

The tape has been made public and in a huge New York Times expose, Nichols was exposed for what she said. Essentially, Nichols felt as though ESPN was forcing diversity by giving Taylor the NBA Countdown spot. Nichols also said she supports Taylor but didn’t want to have her own job taken away from her as a result of diversity in the workplace.

“I wish Maria Taylor all the success in the world — she covers football, she covers basketball,” Nichols said. “If you need to give her more things to do because you are feeling pressure about your crappy longtime record on diversity — which, by the way, I know personally from the female side of it — like, go for it. Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away.”

As a result of this bombshell report, Nichols has been the number one trending topic on Twitter all morning, and many are angered by what she had to say. In fact, some believe it’s going to be hard for her to continue working at ESPN, and that moving forward, they may have to let her go.

Azealia Banks Issues Her Own “Manifesto”

Halfway through 2021, it’s safe to say that this year has been an absolute whirlwind for Azealia Banks. This past spring, the highly controversial artist sold her sex tape as an NFT for $17,000, and ever since then, she’s predominantly made headlines by calling out artists such as Doja Cat and Lil Baby. As the summer started to roll in, Azealia Banks repeatedly bashed and body-shamed Nicki Minaj, and then randomly, she recently admitted to “[needing] to get her sh*t together.

Now, in what she calls “the Azealia Banks redemption arc,” the polarizing public figure has taken to Instagram to share “The Manifesto,” which summarizes several of her biggest criticisms of contemporary society.

“Sidebar: You really don’t want this Azealia Banks redemption arc to end with me in Congress because the prices of tobacco and alcohol are going to skyrocket,” Banks writes at the start of her manifesto. “I’m raising the age for tobacco sales to 30 years old at $121.00 a pack all across the board. That $50.00 bottle of Henny will now cost you $215.00…Savor each sip n*ggas!”

Azealia Banks’ stance on alcohol and drugs, while extreme, is expected given her recent criticism on how the music industry capitalizes on Black artists’ drug abuse, but her manifesto also calls for the complete decriminalization and decommercialization of marijuana.

“I’m bringing the price of marijuana flower/seed/plant/down to the price of corn,” she continues. “There will be no more corporate privatization of cannabis…No more white people getting rich off weed. (Get a real job Seth Rogan).”

The rest of “The Manifesto” teeters between pure comedy — “Mars should be a garbage can. And nothing else.” — and serious concerns about American society — “Abolish the death penalty.” For an entertaining read, check out the full version of Azealia Banks’ manifesto below. What parts of it do you think are the most ridiculous?

NorthSideBenji & DJ Charlie B Team Up On “30,000 Ft.”

Toronto’s NorthsideBenji has been among those who’ve led the current wave of rap music out of the Canadian city. He’s cemented himself as a legend in his city, though it’s been a minute since we’ve heard solo music from him. He’s made cameos on projects from Headie One and Nines last year but fans have been eagerly awaiting for some sort of solo release.

This week, DJ Charlie B teamed up with NorthSideBenji for their new collaboration, “30,000 Ft.” The mellow guitar strings and pitched-up vocal samples fill up the production as Benji reflects on his rise from the streets to boarding private jets and living lavishly.

The last project NorthSideBenji released was Caviar Dreams in 2019. Last year, he released the single, “Frienemy.”

Quotable Lyrics
30,000 feet up & I ain’t goin’ home
We came from testing these pistols out on a open road
And now it’s looking like ice cream that was dipped in gold
Now, I need plenty different phones for all these different hoes

Lana Del Rey Updates Her ‘Blue Banisters’ Album Artwork And Teases A New Single

Less than three months ago, Lana Del Rey shared Chemtrails Over The Country Club, the singer’s seventh album. It’s a project that arrived less than two years after her sixth effort, Norman F*cking Rockwell. The way the singer tells it, however, fans won’t have to wait nearly as long for her upcoming eighth album.

In fact, the full-length effort titled Blue Banisters was supposed to arrive in time for the Fourth Of July holiday, but it’s been pushed back to an unspecified release date. While the delay might be disappointing to fans, Del Rey shared a new cover art and teased an upcoming single to keep the excitement alive for Blue Banisters.

The new cover art for Blue Banisters now features an image of the singer sitting in between two dogs on a wooden deck over a white background with her name and the album’s title in black lettering. This replaces the previous cover that was much simpler compared to the more professional album artworks that could be found within her catalog. She also teased an upcoming song through a video of her singing in a room as the sun shined brightly behind her. “Album out later later… Single out soonish,” she captioned the video. “Have a good fourth x.”

As for when Blue Bannisters will arrive, that remains to be seen but for now, you can check out the new artwork and video of Del Rey singing the unreleased track above.

NBA 2K22 Rumored Release Date & Cover Surfaces Online

Every single year, basketball fans are given yet another NBA 2K game that comes with a few small updates. This past year, the 2K series got some well-deserved criticism as the next-gen version of the game had some real problems that left gamers extremely frustrated. Now, fans are hoping for something better this Fall as NBA 2K22 is supposed to hit stores. Over the last few months, the company behind the game has remained hush-hush about 2K22, although now, some information is starting to get leaked out.

The Twitter account @2KIntel recently came out and showed a graphic that claims the game will be released on September 10th, which makes sense when you consider past release dates. As for the cover, the graphic below showcases a joint effort with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant.

These are three players you wouldn’t expect on one cover together, although you have to applaud 2K for the creativity, if this is, indeed, the real cover. None of this information is confirmed, however, many are excited about the opportunity to play the game, as it promises to fix the errors of the last game.

Let us know what you think about this potential cover, in the comments below.
