IDK Hands Out Free Pairs Of Signed Nike Sneakers In His Neighborhood

In addition to rolling out his second album USee4Yourself, IDK also recently announced his partnership with athletic wear giant Nike, tweeting, “Im officially apart of the Swoosh family” ahead of releasing the album’s third single, “Pradadabang” featuring Young Thug. Although the details of just what IDK — who is close with Kevin Durant, a longtime member of Nike’s stable of endorsed athletes — will do with the Swoosh remain out of reach, he did put the new partnership to good use recently, sharing the wealth with his community by handing out free pairs of signed Supreme Dunks in his neighborhood.

So far, the PG County rapper has released two more singles from the album, the Offset-featuring “Shoot My Shot” (which also received a civic pride-fueled go-go remix courtesy of New Impressionz) and “Peloton,” which he released as he announced the new album’s release date, which is this Friday, June 9. IDK also launched a music business program at Harvard University aiming to teach students how jobs in the recording industry work.

USee4Yourself is out 7/9 via Clue No Clue/Warner Records. Pre-order it here.

Swae Lee Fails To Convince Crowd That COVID-19 Is Over

As vaccination numbers continue to spike, and COVID-19 numbers decline, everyone is back outside. Unfortunately, even with things returning to some sort of state of normalcy, the pandemic isn’t entirely over. There’s still a high concern over variant strains that doctors have stated are even more infectious and deadly than the original virus. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Swae Lee got the memo.

On Monday, the Rae Sremmurd member performed in front of a packed audience at Vendome Nightclub in Miami where things undoubtedly got too turnt. Despite how lit the crowd was, they didn’t seem all that convinced when Swae Lee said that the pandemic was officially over. “We back outside and shit. Corona is fuckin’ officially over,” he told a crowd that pretty much went silent when he made the declaration. Aside from the few individuals that were screaming, the majority of the crowd seemingly disapproved of such a statement. Fortunately for him, he quickly jumped into “Black Beatles” and the crowd forgot about his claim.

Florida, specifically, was heavily hit by COVID-19. Though numbers aren’t as high as they were last year, it’s still a growing concern. Earlier today, reports emerged revealing that cases in the Sunshine State soared by 42% while COVID-19 vaccination numbers declined.

Everyone might be outside but there’s no harm in being cautious.

A$AP Rocky & Metro Boomin Are Cooking Up

Being that it’s already been several years since A$AP Rocky last dropped off a studio album, specifically Testing in 2018, many fans have been eager to see what Flacko has been cooking up. For all intents and purposes, the project is likely to be called All $miles, with Flacko currently in the midst of the recording stages.

And while his last project’s experimental nature was certainly divisive, it would appear he’s connecting with an undeniable fan favorite for this go-around. Metro Boomin has officially confirmed his involvement in Rocky’s next release, taking to Twitter to share a few snapshots from a recent studio session. Though it’s unclear as to what was concocted, Metro did offer up a tantalizing teaser: “FEEL THE FIRE.” Perhaps we’re even looking at a potential track title, who knows.

At this point, all we can do is speculate on what Rocky is up to, though it wouldn’t be surprising to see a proper All $miles update before the summer wraps up. After all, the New York lyricist has been through a few notable events these past few years, and it’s likely he will address his harrowing arrest in Sweden at some point on the project. Perhaps he’ll even do so over some Metro Boomin production.

Father & Son Running Fake Supreme Stores Receive Heavy Sentence & Fine

It seems fake replicas of streetwear brands like Supreme and Bape have surged, coinciding with the brands respective growing popularity with skaters and young people. Many have traveled to China or ordered off of sketchy websites to purchase coveted pieces by these brands for a fraction of their normal price.

However, a massive fake Supreme operation was taken down this week as a father and son duo who ran the massive operation– opening stores in Europe and China and allegedly posed as the owners of the company– were sentenced to ten and three years respectively and hit with a $10.4 million fine for guilty charges on two fraud counts.

“Like ticks, they jumped from one company to another and one jurisdiction to another,” London Judge Martin Beddoe remarked about the father-son duo during the sentencing. Michel Di Pierro, 53, and his 24-year old son Marcello Di Pierro were convicted of pretending to be the owners of the Supreme company while opening up fake stores selling fake Supreme products in Europe and China and establishing trademark registrations in San Marino, Italy, Indonesia, Singapore, and Spain.

The Judge went on to blast Michel and Marcello for “brazen” and “dishonest” conduct, stating that they “plagiarized” the brand.

The father defended himself and his son from the charges, stating that the court’s accusations were “a very grave and unjustified assault,” continuing that they were “absurd, unfounded, and slanderous allegations of counterfeiting registered trademarks,” according to the Fashion Law.

Warrants are out for Michel and Marcello’s arrests, as they were not present in court.
