Conor McGregor Breaks His Silence After Brutal Ankle Injury

Conor McGregor suffered the worst injury of his career last night as his ankle snapped in half during a fight against Dustin Poirier. The injury occurred at the end of the first round and while the break looked extremely painful, Conor didn’t seem to mind all that much. In the direct aftermath of the loss, McGregor decided to throw some personal insults at Poirier, claiming that the fighter’s wife is in his DMs and that their rivalry isn’t over.

For what it’s worth, the loss is now officially registered against McGregor’s record and at this point, no one knows what’s next for the UFC star. After announcing his retirement numerous times over the past four years, Conor doesn’t seem to have much left in the tank, especially when it comes to MMA.

Regardless, McGregor is still in the mood to trash talk and that’s exactly what he has been up to today. For instance, he took to Instagram with a photo of himself being carried off on a stretcher with the caption “You need people like me.” From there, he went on Twitter just a couple of hours ago to respond to a fan that said Herb Dean needs to stop calling McGregor fights as the referee seems to favor the Irishman. McGregor didn’t like this assessment and simply said “Where’s he goin ref?”

Moving forward, McGregor will have a long recovery ahead of him. Considering his high-profile status, he still has a lot he can do in his career, although he seems to be way out of range when it comes to chasing a title.

Justin Bieber and Chance The Rapper have shared a number of moments throughout their careers. From their early collaborations that include “Roller Coaster” and “Juke Jam” to their most recent one with “Holy,” the two artists are quite familiar with each other. So it’s no surprise that they’ve both signed on to headline the upcoming Freedom Experience concert in Los Angeles. The event is the finale of 1DayLA’s weeklong COVID-19 service event that takes place from July 18-24.

According to a press release for the event, 1DayLA’s goal is to mobilize 20,000 volunteers in the Southern California area to help “organize beautification projects, back-to-school events, free medical clinics, homeless assistance, and aid distribution.” The concert itself will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California which holds up to 70,000 people. Jaden, Tori Kelly, and more are also slated to perform at the upcoming show.

Bieber revealed that his reason for joining the 1DayLA show was his commitment to the “powerful idea that a movement for change can start with individuals helping one another and their community.”

The news comes after Bieber joined The Kid Laroi for their latest collaboration, “Stay,” an effort Laroi described as “probably the most organic way of making a song I’ve ever done.” Chance, on the other hand, is preparing to release his upcoming concert film, Magnificent Coloring Book.

Nicki Minaj Hints At New Home For Queen Radio & New Album

Nicki Minaj has been popping out with some stellar guest verses recently. And if the recent re-release of Beam Me Up Scotty is any indication, a new album should be on its way soon. On Friday, she appeared on the remix to Bia’s “Whole Lotta Money” which arrived shortly after the two artists went on Instagram Live together. An exciting moment for both Nicki and Bia, they delivered a potential anthem for the summer.

Nicki took to the comment section of a recent IG post where she detailed her excitement for Bia, though she admitted that elation may have been a bit self-centered. “As you learn & learn YOURSELF you must have that moment. Plus, if you know me, I have to write about it first. Album tingz.”

Lil Baby Flexes His Insane $5M Car Collection

Lil Baby has effectively become one of the world’s most prominent recording artists. The Atlanta trapper’s career has reached impressive heights over the past year and a half after he unleashed his second studio album My Turn in early 2020. Becoming his first No. 1 album in the country, the album went on to be certified triple platinum while making numerous year-end lists.

Keeping the momentum alive, he’s fresh off the heels of unleashing a joint project with Chicago emcee Lil Durk The Voice of the Heroes, which also debuted at the summit of the Billboard chart. The “Bigger Picture” artist is clearly a force that can’t be stopped. Demonstrating he’s clearly enjoying the fruits of his labor, the Atlanta native showed off his impressive car collection.

Panning through all the cars, which were on display at the CarChella Auto Show in Atlanta, the cameraman captures at least 2 dozen of Lil Baby’s cars. Boasting various different designs, nearly every foreign car you could think of was apparent in the collection, which is estimated to be worth a whopping $5 million.

Among the collection was a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge, Campagna T-REX, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes-Benz G 800, McLaren 765LT and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, with each car coming with a matching description. Jake Paul Pours Salt On Conor McGregor’s Wounds After UFC 264

Jake Paul has been trying to get under the skin of Conor McGregor for a while now. With his boxing career taking off, Paul is eyeing a fight against McGregor and a few months ago, he offered the UFC star $50 million to make the fight happen. This past week, McGregor noted that he wouldn’t rule out a fight against Paul although for now, he is more focused on his MMA career and making sure that he gets himself a title.

Unfortunately for McGregor, a title doesn’t seem to be in reach for him anytime soon as he snapped his ankle in half during last night’s fight against Dustin Poirier. It was McGregor’s third loss in just four fights and at this point, it would appear as though McGregor’s era of dominance has officially come to an end.

No one was happier about this loss than Paul, who immediately took to Twitter with some insults for the Irishman. Paul called Conor “Sleepy McGregor” saying “My new offer for Conor Mcgregor is $23 dollars.” He even offered his brand new Sleepy McGregor chain to Dustin Poirier and he’s even going to throw in some Nyquil for good measure.

At this point, Paul just wants to get in as many shots as possible while McGregor is down. Whether or not this is a solid strategy for the future, remains to be seen.

Conor McGregor Snaps Ankle At UFC 264: Hip-Hop Reacts

Conor McGregor used to be one of the best and most feared fighters in the entire UFC. Over the past few years, however, that narrative has completely changed as his attention has focused on other areas of his life. After entering the boxing world in 2017, McGregor hasn’t been able to recreate the success of his early years and while he did beat Cowboy Cerrone, he still has losses to Khabib and Dustin Poirier.

On Saturday night, McGregor had an opportunity to get back into the win column as he fought Poirier in a rematch at UFC 264. After getting beat up in the first round, McGregor snapped his ankle in half and it was quite the gruesome scene. As a result of this injury, McGregor had to stop fighting and was eventually taken off on a stretcher.

Despite the injury, McGregor continued to trash talk Poirier, claiming that the fighter’s wife was in Conor’s DMs. It was a humorous yet sad sight that had all of Twitter talking. In fact, numerous figures in the hip-hop world commented on the fight, including Pharoah Monche who seemed to be disgusted by the sight of Conor’s injury.

Others like Ben Baller, DJ Akademiks, DJ Lord, Donte Ross, Boi-1da, were also shocked by the outcome although there were definitely some who were happy with what went down. For instance, Ben Baller wrote “Finally Connor McGregor is done for good. Piece of shit clown. He should thank his ankle because it saved him from getting humiliated even worse.”

Meek Mill & Jay-Z Have Another Collab On The Way

Nearly three years since the release of Meek Mill’s post-prison album Championships, and he’s been teasing a new project that he’s yet to set a release date for. Over the past few months, he’s unveiled some new freestyles and previewed new music in the studio. Tracks with Future, Bobby Shmurda, Fabolous, and more are in the cut but it seems that Meek also has another track with the GOAT for his upcoming project.

Meek took to Instagram where he revealed that he and Jay-Z are back in the studio following the eventful 4th of July festivities at Michael Rubin’s home. The two worked together on 2018’s “What’s Free” alongside Rick Ross which remains one of the best tracks off of Meek’s last album.

Meek shared the photo along with some motivational words from his recent studio sesson/meeting of the minds with Jay-Z. “If I ain’t him it’s one of my guys,” he wrote. “if You the richest In the room you in the wrong room goat talk wit some billionaires I’ll be there soon!”

No word on when Meek will be dropping this music. However, he has been dropping off raw freestyles in recent times. He’s tackled Drake and Rick Ross’ “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” and his “Flamerz Flow” freestyle sounded like a return to form.

Ben Simmons Obliterated By Anthony Mackie During The ESPYs

Ben Simmons is easily the most slandered man in the NBA as he is constantly catching strays from both fans and celebrities. During the NBA Playoffs, Simmons played some underwhelming basketball as he was too scared to shoot the ball. This led to some mediocre stat lines that had some fans questioning whether or not he truly has the potential to become a superstar in the league.

In the offseason, Simmons has been a part of numerous rumors surrounding whether or not he will be traded. Doc Rivers has made some interesting comments about the star and with the Sixers looking to get over the hump, there is a very good chance he will be off the team heading into next season.

Last night, the assault on Simmons continued as actor Anthony Mackie host the ESPYs. These awards are meant to celebrate the world of sports although sometimes, players get caught in the crosshairs of some well-timed jokes. In the clip below, Mackie was able to get Simmons good as he pretended to award the Sixers star with a humanitarian award. This award was for building schools and homes with all of the bricks he’s thrown throughout the playoffs. While it might be a joke that some consider as low-hanging fruit, it still drew quite a few laughs from the crowd.

Unless Simmons improves his game in the offseason, he can expect these jokes to continue well into next season. These days, he is getting the Paul George treatment although if he gets better and proves it to everyone in the postseason, he can have himself an all-time great narrative shift.

Omar Apollo Shares New Single “Go Away”

The last release from Indiana-bred artist Omar Apollo was 2020’s Apolonio. The album served as his debut project and featured appearances from Ruel and DMV bred entertainer Kali Uchis. He preceded the EP with the singles “Stayback,” “Kamikaze,” “Dos Uno Nueve (219),” and “What U Around.”

In his first release since welcoming his debut project, Omar taps into his producing bag with “Go Away.” The track, which is co-produced by Omar himself, Carter Lang and Chromeo, faces a transient romance. The euphoric new single shows the multi-hyphenate yearning for the love of a partner over a groovy beat packed with synth instruments. The innovative single shows off his skill for combining elements of R&B, funk, and psychedelic pop.

Alongside the track, he also debuted a visual to complement the new single. The beautiful visual is directed by Jenna Marsh and it presents imagery of flowers blooming, Omar prancing around a campfire, and relaxing in a greenhouse. Check out Omar Apollo’s music video to “Go Away” below and let us know how you feel about the new track down below.

Fredo & Headie One Team Up “Wandsworth To Bullingdon”

Fredo’s been keeping his foot on the neck of the drill scene this year and he has no intention of slowing down any time soon. The rapper has been ramping up the efforts in anticipation of his forthcoming album, Independence Day. In the past few weeks, specifically, Fredo’s been preparing for the release of the album with singles like “Talk Of The Town” as well as the “Independence Day Freestyle.”

This week, Fredo came through with a monstrous banger in collaboration with another UK drill titan — Headie One. Together, they go on their new single, “Wandsworth To Bullingdon.” Menacing instrumental meets equally threatening bars from the two rappers.

Earlier this year, Fredo released his album, Money Can’t Buy Happiness. Headie One is fresh off of the release of his album, Edna.

Quotable Lyrics
No, I don’t half-step, that’s ’cause I’m fully in
Jail after jail had me feelin’ I couldn’t win
Now I might roll up on you in a Cullinan
Don’t like the opps when my lungs are still full of them
