Old Man Saxon Unveils New Project “Rothkos, Chicken, and Waffles”

While most televised talent competitions are typically cringeworthy, at best, Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow was a surprising breath of fresh air. T.I., Chance The Rapper, and Cardi B served as the show’s hosts while introducing a slew of young talent. Of course, the Grammy-nominated D Smoke ended up winning the competition with his incredible final performance. However, some of the budding talent introduced on the show are still applying pressure.

Old Man Saxon remains the most notable, and unique, MC on the show, and his recent releases have been just as solid as his performances. This week, he returned with his new project, Rothkos, Chicken, and Waffles. Saxon’s displays his high level of lyricism across the 11-song project which boasts features from Luke Strand and Baby Luck.

Brokeasf Comes Through With Latest Project “Life Of A Hard Knock”

Brokeasf has been gaining traction by making waves on SoundCloud and Instagram. The Florida native’s unique style of rap blends elements of the midwest rap and Chicago drill, curating a tasteful combination of the two popular hip-hop sub-genres into his sound. He gained further notoriety with his breakout track “Comments,” garnering millions of plays on streaming services and YouTube.

He followed up the success of “Comments” by unleashing his first full-length effort WRONG 1 at the top of the year. In addition to his breakout track, the album featured appearances from the likes of Rich The Kid, Quando Rondo, and 42 Dugg. With such an impressive feature lineup on his first project, it’s no surprise the relative game newcomer is headed towards the top of the game.

DMX’s Fiancée Shares Heartfelt Father’s Day Post

The death of DMX is still hard to believe. The rapper’s passing earlier this year left fans, friends, and family members mourning the loss of the legendary MC. The rapper left behind 15 children, including his youngest son Exodus who he shared with his fiancée Desiree Lindstrom. Exodus, who was the inspiration behind the title of X’s posthumous album, is only four years old but it was clear that X and his youngest boy had an unbreakable bond.

Lindstrom took to Instagram today where she paid her respects to X with an adorable video of the rapper with Exodus. X is beating his chest and singing the ABCs to Exodus who has a beaming smile on his face.

“SCREAMING HAPPY FATHERS DAY ALL THE WAY TO THE HEAVENS ABOVE,” Lindstrom captioned the post. “Earl you were such an amazing, protective, loving, inspiring, hands on, incredible father! I thank God that @exodus_simmons1 had a father like you! I appreciate every moment you had spent with Exodus… In my eyes you are the best father, a mother could of asked for when it comes to her child! NLE Choppa Pens An Emotional ‘Love Letter To My Daughter’ To Coincide With Father’s Day

Children in all corners of the world are honoring their dads as Sunday marks Father’s Day. Whether it be classic gifts like a mug or a few new ties, dads from all over are surely enjoying the day. This includes NLE Choppa who is the proud father of a young girl. While the day is certainly his to kick back and relax, the Memphis rapper opted to share a song that captures the love he has with his daughter. Entitled “Love Letter To My Daughter,” the emotional track arrives with a video that shows a softer and more reflective side to the young rapper thanks to intimate moments with his daughter.

The rapper’s new video comes amid an up and down year for him. He recently became one of the latest rappers — joining DaBaby, Mulatto, Pooh Shiesty, and others — to deliver a “Beat Box” freestyle, one NLE Choppa used to celebrate his release from prison.

Two days before the song’s arrival, though, he was arrested in Florida on suspicion of burglary, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of drugs including Xanax and weed. He posted a $4,500 bond and was released from jail shortly after. Elsewhere in the year, he’s shared videos for “Moonlight” and “Picture Me Grapin,” the former being a track with Big Sean.

You can watch the video for “Love Letter To My Daughter” above.

NLE Choppa is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kevin Hart Admits His Daughter Checked Him For Speaking Badly About His Ex Torrei

Last week, Will Smith, joined by Kevin Hart announced he would be taking over hosting duties from his wife Jada Pinkett Smith for a special Father’s Day edition of Red Table Talk. A trailer for the episode revealed Smith and Hart discussing things like their biggest parenting mistakes, ex-wives, their children’s relationships, and more.

“I’m here to answer serious questions,” Hart said in the trailer. “When your child shows disappointment – you don’t realize the impact that your mistakes can truly have,” he said elsewhere. Following the release of the full episode, it became clear Hart was referencing his 16-year-old daughter Heaven Hart checking him about the way he spoke about his ex-wife and her mother Torrei Hart.

“My daughter had a talk with me about her mother that rocked me,” confessed the comedian. “She checked me, she said, ‘I want you to stop saying,” quoting Heaven, “because when you say these things, Dad, this and this and this.”

“But honey, I don’t mean it, like I’m just talking. It doesn’t matter, Dad, when you say it these words…” he added, quoting Heaven again. “It’s not just talking, when you say it you unleash dogs on people,” Will Smith chimed in.

I’m tired of the shit, give my motherfuckin’ props.” AKTHESAVIOR expands on the topic of police brutality in the second verse, rapping, “Cop is racist, still they on it, they hate to seein’ n***a ballin’…Matter of fact, even breathin’ satisfy when we ain’t coughin.”

Jake Paul Claims Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, & More As His Sons

Jake Paul is one of the biggest instigators in the world when it comes to social media and sometimes, it feels like he doesn’t take any days off. The infamous Youtuber turned boxer has been having a successful foray into the combat sports world and for now, he seems to be one of the biggest draws in the world as many fans are curious about just how good he is. After beating Ben Askren, he will now face Tyron Woodley and if he wins, it will be huge for his future in the sport.

Today, Paul decided to celebrate Father’s Day with a derogatory post aimed at some of the people he has beefed with in the past. As you can see in the tweet below, Paul posted some compromising photos of Woodley, Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, Askren, and Kamaru Usman, with the caption “as a father myself, today means a lot to me. even though they’ve all lost a lot… my sons all have made me so proud.”

This is the type of trolling one would come to expect from Paul and it seems clear that he won’t be stopping anytime soon. With his fight against Woodley going down in AugustTyr, it will be interesting to see if Paul can back up his words and knock off his most difficult opponent to date.

Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for more updates from the boxing world.
