Jaykae & Jorja Smith Catch A Wave On “1000 Nights”

It’s been roughly four years since Jaykae released his last album, Where Have You Been? However, the grime MC has remained hard at work by releasing tons of singles and delivering some stand-out guest verses. This year, he got warmed up with the release of “Chop (Henry The 8th) and now, he’s back with a record that has the potential to be a song of the summer.

Jaykae has come through with his latest record, “1000 Nights” ft. Jorja Smith. The two connect over lowkey garage production that’s perfect for the summer nights. Jorja kicks things off, and even gets into her rapping bag on this one while Jaykae proves that his pen is still as sharp as ever.

Check out the latest record from Jaykae and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.

Quotable Lyrics
Heavy on the mind when the heartbreaks
Summit for the struggle and the dark days
Won’t be home in a thousand nights
Wish you could just tell ’em it’ll all be alright

Pop Smoke’s Self-Titled Album Promo Posters Are Popping Up

The death of Pop Smoke remains one of the most heartbreaking tragedies in hip-hop in 2020. The late rapper was positioned for a takeover in the music industry and the success of Meet The Woo 2 only cemented it. Fortunately, his team and 50 Cent properly unveiled the first posthumous album from Pop last year. Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon was one of the most commercially successful albums of 2020. However, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of another posthumous body of work from Pop Smoke.

Over the past few weeks, there’s been a few updates on the release of Pop’s next album. Steven Victor’s provided some promising updates before finally confirming that the album would drop on July 16th. Unfortunately, we haven’t received any sort of ‘lead single’ off of the project but perhaps, that’s coming soon, especially since promotional flyers for the album have been popping up in anticipation of its release.

So far, information regarding the album has been scarce. There’s been little information regarding potential guest features or even production credits. Over the weekend, the official pre-order for his album went live, revealing that it would be an eponymous project. Apple Music subscribers were also treated to an early preview of the album’s outro which includes some uplifting words from Pop Smoke.

Are you excited about Pop’s upcoming album?

Seth Rogen Says Paul Rudd Once Quietly Replaced His Masseuse At A Spa

It’s never a dull moment with Seth Rogen. The actor has been quite busy in recent times after the release of his memoir Yearbook. Rogen’s media run in promotion of the book has been filled with some hilarious untold stories like the time he pissed in a bottle at Tom Cruise’s house before they met.

Earlier today, the comedian hit Twitter with a hilarious anecdote about his close friend Paul Rudd. While the two have shared plenty of moments on screen together, their relationship is solidified in real life. Apparently, there so close that Paul Rudd gave Seth Rogen a massage without the Superbad star knowing.

“Once I was in the spa in a hotel in Vegas getting a massage. When I finished I turned over and to my shock Paul Rudd was massaging me. He saw me go in and convinced the masseuse to let him take over, thinking I’d notice immediately. I didn’t, and Paul did the entire rest of it,” Rogen revealed on Twitter.

One Twitter user quickly asked Rogen whether the story was true or a hallucination from getting a little too stoned off of that Houseplant. However, Rogen stated that Rudd would vouch for him. “I’m sure Paul would confirm it,” he wrote.

Paul Rudd has yet to respond to Seth Rogen’s tweet but we’ll keep you posted if he does.

Drake Changes His Instagram Bio In Anticipation Of “Certified Lover Boy”

It’s summer and still, we haven’t received a release date for Certified Lover Boy. Drake has been teasing the project for over a year. In fact, he said the album would be arriving last fall before pushing it back into 2021. We can’t blame him entirely, though. The pandemic put an unfortunate hold on most plans in the entertainment industry but with things finally opening up, it seems as if Drake is warming up to drop sometime soon.

Following his recent collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on the Neptunes-produced single, “Wasting Time,” Drake dropped a new hint that has fans ecstatic over the release of CLB. Drake’s fans are just as keen on details as he is. They quickly noticed how the rapper recently changed his Instagram bio to read, “Certified.” While it doesn’t really say much, it’s enough to get the hopes up that the album could finally arrive soon.

Changing his bio might have little meaning but it did come after reports that Drake and Future recently shot a music video together. Rumors are that it’s for a single off of Certified Lover Boy

Just a few weeks ago, the rapper made an appearance at URL’s NOME XI where he stated that the album would be dropping before the summer comes to an end

Termanology & Statik Selektah Reunite On “1982: The Summer EP”

Termanology and Statik Selektah never disappoint when they join forces. The rapper and producer formally introduced themselves in 2010 with the release of 1982. Though they’ve released a few projects together since then, they’ve also been heavily grinding away on their own efforts.

For the 4th of July, Term and Statik came through with a quick EP titled, 1982: The Summer EP. The three-track effort is short but packed with features. Bun B and C-Sharp collide with Statik and Termanology on “Stay Fly.” Meanwhile, Skyzoo and Jared Evan assist in bringing the Tri-State heat on “Summer In New York.” Additionally, Statik and Termanology also get some assistance from Mia Jae and Sammy Adams for “Close To Me.”

The smooth three-track EP is necessary to have in rotation this summer. Check it out below.

Herbo confirmed that this would still see the light of day, though it requires pulling Bibby out of retirement.

“He on some mogul shit right now,” Herbo said. “I wanna drag him out of retirement, man. I think he gon’ rap, though. He gon’ put some shit out, fasho, ’cause he still love music, bro.”

OMB Peezy Drops Off “Feeling Like Dat”

OMB Peezy is keeping the streets flooded with new music this year, though his streaming pages might not reflect that accurately. Every week, the rapper has been coming through with a brand new single which oftentimes are accompanied by a set of visuals. The rapper’s working hard, and that’s apparent. This week, the rapper returned with his latest single, “Feeling like dat.” The rapper offers unadulterated emotions on this one, detailing the paranoia that lingers in the streets, death, and his own suicidal thoughts. “Spin on a n***a block with too many shots, they gon’ think that God comin’,” he raps on the record.

Peezy is a few months removed from his last project, Too Deep For Tears which includes appearances from King Von, Jacquees, and more.
