Detroit Rapper Crudchapo Makes His Introduction On “Trapper Of The Year Vol. 1”

The rise of Detroit’s rap scene in recent times has put a much-needed spotlight back on the city’s talent. Detroit is certainly home to some of the most skilled MCs to ever touch a microphone but the young generation coming up is telling their story in their own way. Crudchapo is only beginning to make his name known beyond the D but his recent output indicates that he isn’t limiting himself to his hometown.

This weekend, the rapper made a proper introduction with the release of his debut project, Trapper Of The Year Vol. 1. The 10-song body of work runs for a little under 30 minutes with features coming from Icewear Vezzo, Payroll Giovanni, Pooh Shiesty, Rio Da Yung OG and Allstar Jr.

Check out Crudchapo’s new project below.

Pooh Shiesty Assists Crudchapo On “Shiesty”

We just entered the month of March but it appears that Crudchapo is already claiming the title of “Trapper Of The Year.” Over the weekend, the Detroit rapper released his very first project titled, Trapper Of The Year Vol. 1. It’s a solid introduction to the masses that effectively uses some star features without taking too much attention away from Crudchapo. Artists like Icewear Vezzo and Payroll Giovanni make appearances on the project but it’s Pooh Shiesty’s feature that’s making the rounds. Crudchapo and Pooh Shiesty team up to deliver a sleek street banger with “Shiesty.” Tax Free handles the production which gives some early traps vibes while Crudchapo and Pooh Shiesty swap bars.

Pooh Shiesty recently appeared on HNHH’s weekly series Rise & Grind which you can check out here.

‘Cause my hood, they can’t come
I ain’t beefin’ with no rappers ’cause my hood really dumb

Eddie Murphy Laughs Off Megan Thee Stallion Collab: “You Know How Crazy I Would Look”

You can’t turn a pop-culture corner without seeing news about Megan Thee Stallion. The Houston rapper has acquired an increasing amount of fans in the last two years, and with a management deal with Roc Nation on her side, Stallion’s visibility has tripled. Even during a global pandemic and quarantine, Meg was able to nab the No. 1 spot on the charts twice, but as much as she’s the artist that everyone wants to collaborate with, Eddie Murphy isn’t lining up for his shot.

The Coming 2 America actor was promoting his forthcoming film while on the Tamron Hall Show where he was questioned about his musical aspirations. Back in the 1980s, he worked with the late-great icon Rick James to craft his No. 2 charting “Party All the Time” hit, and while he’s confirmed that he has a vault filled with music, Murphy laughed through the prospects of releasing new music, especially with younger artists like Megan Thee Stallion.

“I stopped putting music out but I still do music all the time,” said Murphy. “Young folks do that.” Hall added that no one complains when The Rolling Stones continues to tour. “But The Rolling Stones don’t be puttin’ no records out. They’re playing they old tracks. Don’t nobody wanna hear The Rolling Stone new sh*t,” the actor said with a laugh. “Don’t nobody wanna hear no 75-year-old man’s track. I’m cool with tracking and having my little vault with my little tracks. A hundred years from now, you can hear all that stuff and be like, ‘Wow.'”

Murphy’s daughter was also on deck for the virtual chat, and Hall wanted to know if she could see her father one day collaborating with artists like the Houston rapper. “Megan Thee Stallion? I’m 59, I can’t be doing nothing with no Megan Thee Stallion. You know how crazy I would look doing something with Megan Thee Stallion?” Murphy said while laughing. “I’m gonna be 60 in April. I can’t be having Megan Thee Stallion doing her stuff and I’m standing next to her with my old ass playing my guitar.”

“I have my first grandchild. Once you’re a grandpa, you can’t do no tracks with Megan Thee Stallion.” Check out the funny clip below and make sure to tune into Amazon Prime Video on March 5 to watch the premiere of Coming 2 America.

Lil Durk Mocks Yaya Mayweather Over “Back In Blood” Clip

Lil Durk’s run in 2021 is already off to a great start. He closed out 2020 with the release of The Voice before offering the deluxe edition that later earned him his highest sales week ever. On top of that, he’s been killing every single feature verse he touches. November’s “Back In Blood” with Pooh Shiesty is still crushing the charts and maintaining a spot as one of the hottest records in the streets. It’s even beginning to spawn freestyles and remixes.

Unfortunately, not everyone is feeling the song. Yaya Mayweather went viral last week after making a fuss over “Back In Blood” being played at some sort of function. The viral clip is bound to create a few memes at Yaya’s expense. However, it’s clear that her issue with the song stems from something a bit more personal than not being a fan of it, largely due to the apparent feud between Durk and Youngboy.

Durk seemingly addressed the clip after retweeting Calboy who wrote, “We don’t turn off Lil Durk or Pooh Shiesty over here.” Sure, that was enough to get the point across but apparently, he needed to reiterate it for the people in the back. Offering a glimpse into today’s outfit which includes a Casablance Paris sweater and a RoyGBiv freight trucker hat, the rapper made it clear that only in the world of Yaya Mayweather is it acceptable to turn off Durkio mid-song. “We don’t turn off Durk in the trenches,” he wrote along with a vomiting emoji. “Fasure noooooooo.”

Speaking of “Back In Blood,” we recently chopped it up with Pooh Shiesty for the latest edition of Rise & Grind, our weekly series meant to introduce and dissect new, buzzing, or underground artists. On the topic of collaborating with Durk on the song, Shiesty said, “It was crazy that he tapped in as soon as my chance came around. But you know, that’s what real n***as supposed to do. So, everything was real shit. We locked in. He means his words. He stood on his word. He said we’re gonna do this the way, we did it. He stood on that. He a real n****.” Check out the rest of the interview here.

Bhad Bhabie Accuses Dr. Phil Of Sending Teens To Abusive Facility: “There’s Been A Murder”

For decades, Dr. Phil has featured outrageous guests with just as unbelievable stories. He’s known for his “out-of-control teen” segments where a global audience watches on as exhausted parents are at their wits end over their unmanageable kids, much like that of the story involving Bhad Bhabie. Danielle Bregoli was featured on Dr. Phil years ago as a 13-year-old car-stealing child, and like many others, she was sent to the good doctor’s recommended Turn-About Ranch. The facility is said to help young people in crisis, but according to Bregoli, it is a place that breeds sexual abuse, torture, and even murder.

Yesterday (February 28), Bhad Bhabie shared a disturbing post to her Instagram with a lengthy caption where she detailed the alleged misconduct at the Turn-About Ranch. Her post was that of a young woman delivering her tale of allegedly being groped by a male staffer. “Turn about ranch treatment facility punished this young lady Hannah for reporting that one of their staff members assaulted her,” wrote Bregoli. She added that while kids are at the facility, they aren’t allowed to contact the outside world, not even their parents.

“There’s been a Murder at this facility, reports of torture and now a report of sexual abuse and Dr. Phil still continues to send trouble children here even after knowing this stuff has happened at this facility,” she added. “I went through being malnourished, abused , and having to do hard labor and being there while someone was murdered. I came back with more trauma then I went there with. I was sent to this place to get help.”

Bregoli called for the rach to be shut down and added that children don’t have access to a “proper rest room” or “eat real food” if they misbehave. “Force them to sit in a desk facing a wall, make them do hard labor , use a porta potty , eat peanut butter sandwiches and cold ramen, sit it below freezing temperatures , pick weeds and put together over 20 piles of horse manure with a wheelbarrow. How is punishing children supposed to help them become better!!??”

The 17-year-old was asked by the public why she waited so long to come forward. Bregoli posted another video, saying that if she was the only person to come forward, no one would believe her. It took someone else speaking out for her accusations to have merit, in her eyes. Check out the posts below. Representatives from Dr. Phil have yet to issue a formal statement about the allegations.

Fredo Bang Explains Why Kevin Gates Is A “Whole Other Monster”

Fredo Bang is scorching hot right now. The “Top” remix ft. Lil Durk is steadily doing numbers and In The Name Of Gee (Still Hated) is still on rotation. This morning, the rapper paid a visit to the Breakfast Club where he spoke on his past, his come-up in Baton Rouge, and some of his musical influences. Kevin Gates, who he collaborated on “No Security” with, sits high on his list of musical influences, explaining that singing on records wasn’t necessarily that popular until the rapper came home.

“Gates the first artist to ever post my music before I ever met him,” he explained. “As far as musically, though. He a whole other monster. He made the whole Louisiana — before Gates came home from jail, you couldn’t sing on no song. You either gotta make a fight song, a killing song or a dancing song. The only way we ’bout to listen to you. But he came home with the whole singing to females and all that and everybody embraced it.”

You’d be right to say that Gates was an integral influence on the harmonies in Fredo Bang’s music but he also credits his background in the band where he was a section leader. “I was in the band for like 10 years. I had a scholarship,” he continued. “I played concert and marchin’. And I was section leader,” he added. The scholarship, unfortunately, didn’t work out for Bang because of issues going on at home.

Deb Antney Didn’t Know Nicki Minaj & Safaree Dated: “I Thought He Was A Gay Guy”

She’s known for being instrumental in developing the careers of major artists including Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka, but Deb Antney deserves her flowers for her work with Nicki Minaj early on in the rapper’s career. The Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta star worked with the rising rapper before she was a worldwide sensation, and Antney also had a firsthand look at Nicki’s romantic relationship with Safaree Samuels—except she now claims she had no idea that the pair were a couple. Instead, Deb told Drink Champs that she believed Safaree was the Queen emcee’s gay friend and hype man.

“Craziest sh*t is—I know I really shouldn’t say this, bless my heart—I never knew that her and Safaree was going together,” admitted Deb. “Yeah, I thought Safaree was…I thought Safaree was a gay guy that she hung out with and he was her helper.” Everyone began speaking over each other as some agreed with Antney.

“Listen! We went when I was booking her out, she’s like Deb, ‘I need two rooms,'” Deb continued. “But the two rooms wasn’t for him ’cause she would get dressed in the other room. But Safaree was—I didn’t know that they were together. I never knew until he took my car from her and she called me to lock him up and then he called me and that’s when he broke down everything.”

“He broke down everything, that they was together for the year. I didn’t even know. She never—that’s one thing about her, she never gave any inkling that anything was going on with them,” said Antney. “I just thought he was…God forgive me. I thought he was just a gay guy that was helping her and he was her hype guy or something. I just never knew anything.”

Antney did note that Safaree “put his career on” hold for Nicki so she could get her shine. Check out the clip of Deb Antney speaking about Safaree and Nicki’s relationship with Drink Champs below.
