Twitter erupted after it was revealed that Charlotte Hornets’ player PJ Washington and his model girlfriend Brittany Renner had broken up. The couple had just welcomed a baby into the world this year and it looked like their split wasn’t the most amicable, with Washington tweeting-and-deleting, “You was faking it all along.”

The world has continued to react to their breakup and on Thursday, both Renner and Washington spoke about the situation on their respective platforms.

Being a little bit more vocal than her hoops star ex, Brittany Renner has been sarcastically responding to fans accusing her of “grooming” PJ. Some people have been sharing images of her at one of his high school games when he was eighteen. At the time, she was reportedly in her mid-20s. 

“You stalked an 18 year old in college while you were pushing 30 and had a kid with him just to drop him. You’re the worst kind of human,” wrote one fan. Brittany responded, saying, “Tell me more [ear emoji] this is getting juicy!” She then proceeded to tweet, “Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge.”

As for PJ Washington, he’s been quiet as of late but he does want his followers to focus on the real world, and not on what’s being said online. “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet,” he wrote, earning a retweet from Brittany.

Live Nation, Snoop Dog, and Bobby Dee’s Lovers & Friends Festival has officially been confirmed to make its long-awaited debut in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

According to Complex, Lovers & Friends was first announced last February with a lineup that boasted Megan Thee Stallion, Ludacris, Fat Joe, Jhené Aiko, Lil Kim, Summer Walker, T-Pain, and Saweetie, and drama around the validity of the line-up plagued the fledgling festival before it was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the festival has announced that it will be led by Usher, TLC, and Ms. Lauryn Hill when it finally takes place next year.

As seen above, several other R&B and Hip-Hop legends — including Ciara, Nelly, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Ne-Yo, Brandy, Monica, Trey Songz, Lil Kim, The-Dream, Fabolous, Timbaland, T-Pain, and Eve, among countless others — will be performing at the inaugural throwback music festival.

Prices range from $175 for general admission tickets to $10,000 for VIP cabana tickets, and for those looking for full-fledged travel packages, those range from $659 for standard packages to $859 for luxury VIP ones. Like many other music festivals, Lovers & Friends Festival gives fans the opportunity to secure their tickets now and pay over time, so if you’re interested in attending the festival in Las Vegas next year, you can go ahead and cop your tickets for $19.99 down.

It isn’t a coincidence a bunch of rappers and entertainers are showing their true colors, spreading homophobic messages this week while Lil Nas X, a gay artist, has the top trending song in the country. While some of the loudest haters, including DaBaby and T.I., are chalking up their homophobia to “freedom of speech,” they seemingly don’t understand the real weight of their words, prompting Lil Nas X to jump into the conversation.

While he was never mentioned during DaBaby’s disgusting rant at Rolling Loud, T.I. and Boosie Badazz have mentioned the rapper during the aftermath of the controversy, with Boosie calling him a homophobic slur and threatening to beat up the artist if he ever performed naked, as he has been teasing. On Thursday morning, LNX trolled Boosie and T.I. by “responding” to their hateful messages, luring them in and driving them to the “INDUSTRY BABY” music video, but he’s officially come through with another tweet, directly replying to Boosie and Nick Young, who co-signed the rapper’s remarks.

“Facts, freedom of speech,” wrote Nick Young on a video of Boosie calling Lil Nas a homophobic slur. “A n***a saying he will ‘beat my f***t ass’ is not what we what we meant by freedom of speech,” responded LNX. He also retweeted a fan’s post, which reads, “Bro it’s so fascinating to watch people retreat to very similar language as racists when it comes to being homophobic.”

Tim Tebow is one of the most polarizing players in the history of the NFL. When the quarterback was drafted by the Denver Broncos, there were numerous questions surrounding his talent level as an NFL QB. He didn’t have the fluid throwing motion that you would expect from a high draft pick, and his playstyle simply did not fit the mold. Eventually, Tebow had a fantastic campaign with the Broncos before bouncing around the league and fizzling out.

For the last few years, Tebow has been pursuing baseball although he hasn’t been too successful. Now, Tebow is back in football although now, he is a tight end who wants a second chance at glory, with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tebow made it to training camp with the Jaguars, and as it stands, he is fighting for a starting spot on the roster. Tebow has improved his physique specifically for the tight end position, and today, he received a huge ovation from Jaguars fans who went out to see the team practice today. As you can see in the clips below, Tebow is actually looking pretty good out there, and it seems like he could very well up with a roster spot if he keeps up at his current pace.

Following previous collaborations with popular artists like Travis Scott, J Balvin and BTS, McDonald’s will be debuting the “Saweetie Meal” on August 9th, named after the Bay Area rapper and female artist. Known for her love of food and sometimes very creative culinary combinations, the “Saweetie Meal” is inspired by the artist’s love for mixing and matching different foods. At its base, the meal will include a Big Mac, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries and a medium Sprite rounded out by a barbecue sauce that will be rebranded as the “Saweetie ‘N Sour” sauce to coincide with the meal’s theme.

Continuing with adapting the themes and aesthetics of each celebrity meal to align with the artist’s personal brand, the “Saweetie Meal” will take on “icy new packaging” to build off the artist’s “Icy Girl” branding. Previous examples like Travis Scott’s “Cactus Jack” branding being made into crew member t-shirts for McDonald’s employees, along with the BTS branding on the paper bags for each order of the BTS meal, shows that McDonald’s is committed to displaying each artists’ individual identities in their collaborations with the tenured fast food chain. Saweetie posted a teaser for the meal on Instagram earlier this morning.

“WHO’S READY FOR ONE OF MY INFAMOUS CONCOCTIONS?!!,” Her Instagram caption reads, knowingly acknowledging the meme culture that’s surrounded her eating habits. In the photo, french fries and hints of barbecue sauce make up a snowflake, playing into the artist’s “Icy Girl” brand. Her 2019 album is simply called ICY.

McDonald’s has done their part for hyping up their newest celebrity meal on social media, as well. They tweeted a hint about their involvement with Saweetie this morning before posting the same image.

Making light of Saweetie’s sometimes outrageous eating choices, they further confirmed why ranch isn’t included in the meal in a follow-up tweet.

It has also been reported that customers will be afforded some flexibility in how they can have contents of the “Saweetie Meal,” aligning with the artist’s tendency to be creative with her eating choices. One of the best events of the entire year in relation to the NBA is the draft. It’s a night that changes lives forever all while shaping the future of the NBA. Teams that had been in poverty status for years finally get a shot at a potential superstar all while talented young players get the opportunity of a lifetime that will eventually allow them to prove for their families and deliver generational wealth to their bloodline. All-in-all, it’s a pretty good night but it’s one that should not be taken lightly by the teams themselves.

Franchises spend months deliberating on which players they should take, and it’s never an easy decision. There are various dilemmas at play here, including the dichotomy of drafting based on positional need or drafting based on the best talent available. It’s a hard balance to strike, although the Detroit Pistons are looking to make the best of it with the first overall pick.

Seven hours before the draft even begins, the entire evening has been spoiled in a way, as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN just reported that Cade Cunningham of the Oklahoma State Cowboys would be selected with the first overall pick. The Pistons have had their eyes on Cunningham for quite some time now and they didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to take him.

Cunningham had a phenomenal season with the Cowboys in 2021 and it was well-documented that he was the clear number one talent in the draft. While some fans might be annoyed at the timing of this news, there is no doubt that Pistons fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing their team has made a good choice.
