Kevin Love was one of the best players at his position about eight to nine years ago, however, things have changed for the worse over the last few years. While Love had some great moments with the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2015 and 2016, there is no denying that he has regressed without LeBron James on the roster. Some nights, Love puts in very little effort and the younger players on the roster have taken notice.

For months, the Cavs have been looking for a solution to this issue, and it is clear as day that the solution is trading Love to another team. Unfortunately for the Cavs, they have been unable to find a trade suitor as not too many teams are interested in the veteran. In fact, according to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, there isn’t a single team that is actively pursuing Love.

Per Amico:

“While teams such as the Warriors, Pelicans and others expressed minimal interest after the season, an opposing general manager recently told Hoops Wire that there is currently “no market” for Love.”

The asking price for Love has yet to be determined, although, at this point, the Cavs might be lucky to get a bag of Spalding game-ready balls and a Coca-Cola vending machine. In the meantime, the Cavs and Love might just have to consider a buyout as it could be the only way for both sides to resolve their issues.

It was a great night for Hip Hop earlier this week when The LOX and Dipset joined together for Verzuz. The two collectives brought fans some of their greatest hits and proved that top-tier lyricism is a mainstay in the culture. Hundreds of thousands of fans watched at any given time as the groups went bar-for-bar while teasing one another, and in the end, Jadakiss reigned supreme for not only his delivery but his dedication to the performance.

Everyone involved received applause and next up is a tour with The LOX and Dipset, and while there were several memorable moments, Jim Jones allegedly falling off the stage stole attention.

We shared the video of the viral moment and now, Jones has returned to deny that he accidentally took a tumble. “For the record, I did not fall off the stage,” he said in a video. “My ring flew off my hand and I dove off that motherf*cker head first like I was going swimming. I dove! I didn’t fall.” He couldn’t help but laugh at himself as he recalled the unfortunate moment.

This famed phantom album is just hours away from materializing—hopefully—and fans are gearing up for another round of Donda madness. It was just two weeks ago when Kanye seemingly promised that his album was on the way, and the rapper even hosted listening events in Las Vegas and Atlanta.

Thousands of people swarmed the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for what was slated to be an epic rollout and release of the anticipated project. Yet, at the stroke of midnight, fans were left perplexed and Donda never arrived.

What has followed has been an onslaught of reports regarding Ye finishing up the record with 25th-hour-styled additions. West has reportedly been streaming Live on Apple Music with his “Countdown to Donda” event, and with all of the hype surrounding the album’s release, Juicy J isn’t convinced that Ye will deliver.

Over on Twitter, the Three 6 Mafia icon made an offer. “10k bet Kanye don’t drop his album tonight,” he wrote.” There have been plenty of people who tried telling the megaproducer that West will, indeed, deliver Donda, but he remains unconvinced. “He not gone drop that album tonight.” We’re not sure if there has been anyone who has formally agreed to Juicy J’s bet, but you can let us know if you agree with him.

Earlier today, it was reported that Lionel Messi would be leaving Barcelona after spending the vast majority of his life with the club. After being signed as a young teenager, Messi became an international superstar who continues to be one of the best players in the game. He has won countless titles with Barcelona and has even taken home the Champions League trophy. Despite all of this, Barcelona was unable to sign the star due to league rules surrounding the salary cap.

Per Barcelona:

“Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and the clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial and structural obstacles (Spanish Liga regulations). As a result of this situation, Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona. Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled. FC Barcelona wholeheartedly expresses its gratitude to the player for his contribution to the aggrandisement of the club and wishes him all the very best for the future in his personal and professional life.”

In the aftermath of this news, Messi is already moving on as he has received offers from various different clubs. After all, Messi is a massive draw to any team he plays for, and his presence alone will have fans watching with a careful eye. According to Mohamed Bouhafsi, Messi is currently negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain which is the most legendary club in all of France. 

There is no word yet on whether or not Messi will sign with them in the end, although this is one of those no-brainer type deals that would work for both sides. While some thought that Messi could wind up in the United States, it looks like his best opportunities remain in Europe.

Some of YK Osiris’s peers have him feeling heated and it sounds as if some of them have been making false promises. If you ask entertainers from any facet of the industry, they will let you know that finding true friendships is a difficult task. Instead, entertainers and artists have learned the art of networking and keeping industry friendships, but that is something that Osiris is tired of navigating.

On Thursday (August 5), a video of the singer went viral and in it, he laments over people who continue to ask to link with him in the studio even though they’ve talked about it numerous times in the past. “N*ggas be so fake, bruh. This is why I don’t be f*ckin wit n*ggas,” he said.

One of the greatest shoes of all time is the Air Jordan 1 High OG which came out back in 1985. Throughout the years, the Jordan 1 has received various iterations, including the Air Jordan 1 Mid and the Air Jordan 1 Low. While the latter two models aren’t as popular as the High OG, there is no denying that they are solid options for your respective collections.

As for the Air Jordan 1 Low, it has just been unveiled in a brand new colorway that is simply called “Dark Teal,” for obvious reasons. In the images below, you can see how the shoe has a white base with a black Nike swoosh. From there, the sneaker has some nice teal overlays that help give the shoe that Jordan 1 “All-Star” feel. While it may not be the flashiest offering out there, it can’t be understated just how clean these are.

There has been quite a bit of buzz about Aaliyah in recent days. We’re fast approaching the 20th anniversary of her untimely death, and to mark the historical date, Kathy Iandoli is releasing her biography Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah. The singer was just 22-years-old when she boarded a flight from the Bahamas to Miami after filming her “Rock the Boat” visual, and not long after takeoff, Aaliyah and her team all perished in a plane crash.

The anniversary has also caused Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah’s uncle, to once again become the topic of scathing conversations considering it is reported that he is the person responsible for holding tight to Aaliyah’s catalog all these years. Today (August 5), it was announced that Blackground Records would be sharing its roster, including Aaliyah’s music, so fans are looking forward to the rollout.

Hankerson also sat down with Billboard to chat about his infamous reputation, and during the chat, he revealed that there are plans for a posthumous Aaliyah album. The 74-year-old music executive gave insight into what could be expected from the project, including features on the forthcoming record.

According to Aaliyah’s uncle, her posthumous project will include features from “Drake, Future, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown and Snoop Dogg, while Timbaland has remixed and produced some of the sessions.” Singer Tank, another Blackground artist who sang background for Aaliyah, reportedly told Hankerson that he was interested in being involved, as well.

“It has been really nice,” Hankerson told the outlet regarding working on the record. “The only part that has been a little distasteful has been so many people being angry with me because the music didn’t come out when they wanted it. But I learned to live with that. There’s nothing I can do about it.”

Yesterday (August 4), Aaliyah’s estate released a statement regarding her music making its way to streaming services, saying that they have not been notified or involved in what is happening with the late singer’s catalog.
