Zombie Juice & Smoke DZA Hit The “VMA’s”

It’s been a minute since the Flatbush Zombies put in work as a united front, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been inactive on the musical tip. Today, Zombie Juice has come through with a new single — produced by fellow group-mate Erick The Architect — enlisting Smoke DZA for “VMA’s.”

Speaking on the track in a press release, Zombie Juice explained his motivation behind his latest single, maintaining that it was high time he received due credit. “MTV has nothing to do with it,” he states. “There’s no awards being giving out, but we deserve our flowers for our years of contributions in the cannabis and music industries.”

Be sure to give the man his props accordingly, and should you need a little nudge, look no further than the delightfully trippy duet from two solid and well-rounded emcees. Check out “VMA’s” now, and sound off with your appreciation for the Flatbush Zombies movement below.

It can get worse, enemies wreckin’ revenge

Bam Margera’s Wife Nicole Boyd Files For Custody Of Their Son, But Doesn’t Want A Divorce

Bam Margera, who is best known for his time spent on the MTV reality series Jackass, has been having a rough go at things lately, to say the very least. According to TMZ, the 41-year-old is in the midst of several lawsuits with his former friends and family members.

Earlier this week court records revealed that Margera‘s wife, Nicole Boyd, has filed to obtain sole custody of the pair’s son, Phoenix Wolf.

What’s particularly interesting about this is that Boyd has made the decision not to file for divorce, she and Margera are still legally married and have been for the last eight years.

TMZ reports that the mother of one is willing to grant her husband visitation rights, so long as a monitor of his selection and her approval is also present.

On top of the baby mama drama, Margera also recently made the decision to sue Johnny Knoxville and several other members of the Jackass crew for “inhumane treatment.”

The star launched the lawsuit after he was kicked out of the fourth installment of the Jackass film franchise for failing to abstain from the use of drugs and alcohol.

It’s also noted that Margera would sometimes attack his costars, and he was known to go on rants about suicide. Director Jeff Tremain felt so uncomfortable that he took out a restraining order.

The actor has previously made attempts to get his life back on track by attending rehab, although his failure to remain sober shows that he’s fallen off the wagon again. Here’s to hoping he gets help and finds himself in recovery.

What are your thoughts on Bam being booted from Jackass? Let us know in the comments.

Young Thug Confirms “Punk” Release Date

Young Thug is one of the most respected artists in Atlanta’s rap scene, and he’s built a special catalog of high-powered mixtapes and chart-impacting singles over the years. He’s also the leader of Young Stoner Life Records, the record label that introduced the world to artists like Gunna, Lil Keed, Karlae, Lil Duke, Yak Gotti, and more.

Despite already having a solid backlog of music with one of the strongest mixtape runs in recent memory, Young Thug is crafting out his next studio album Punk, which will officially be his sophomore album following his debut, So Much Fun. During his Tiny Desk performance for NPR earlier this year, Thugger revealed that his album would be dropping in mid-October by wearing a t-shirt with his release date on it. He’s seemingly confirming that date in his latest post on the YSL Records page.

Showing off his Spotify stats and boasting about being the fifty-ninth most-listened-to artist on the platform, Thug wrote that we can expect his new album Punk on October 15.

So far, the rapper has only released one song from the album, “Tick Tock.” He has previewed a number of songs that fans are expecting to see on the tracklist, including “Die Slow,” “Hate The Game,” and “Droppin Jewels.”

Drakeo The Ruler 24kGoldn Team Up On “Spaceship”

It’s always interesting when two artists with contrasting styles link up on a track but when those styles come together right, it creates the perfect vibe and provides listeners with a little something for everyone. On “Spaceship” Los Angeles rapper Drakeo The Ruler and San Francisco native 24kGoldn teamed up to do just that, giving us a track combining vibes from Northern and Southern California.

Drakeo The Ruler, who was recently arrested in LA after his Uber driver was pulled over for having tinted windows, came through with a subdued, almost-sleepy flow and tough bars about what he had to do to make it while on the come up.

24kGoldn handled the hook, giving us a faster-paced melodic chorus with multiple mentions of 1942, continuing Don Julio’s run of being namedropped in what seems like every new hip-hop record the game has to offer.

“Spaceship” is a perfect end-of-summer/beginning-of-fall record and the only glaring issue is its play time, clocking in at just two minutes.

Stream “Spaceship” below and let us know what you think of the record in the comments.

Steve Ballmer Speaks Out On Kawhi Leonard’s Status For Next Season

Kawhi Leonard instantly turned the Los Angeles Clippers into title contenders a couple of years ago and now that he is with the team for four more years, there is no doubt that the Clippers will continue to be one of the best teams in the league for years to come. Last season, the Clippers made it to the Western Conference Finals which was the first time in franchise history that they were able to accomplish such a thing. It was a huge deal for the team, although it came at the cost of Leonard’s health as he suffered an ACL injury.

After receiving surgery, Leonard is now going to be out of the lineup for the better part of a year and there is no guarantee that he will be back in time for next season. In a new report from USA Today, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer spoke about the Leonard situation, noting that everything is in the hands of the doctors.

“Nobody knows at this stage,” Ballmer said. “Nobody knows. It’s possible. For sure, it’s possible. But it will depend on what the doctors say and what Kawhi says.”

Paul George played lights out for the Clippers in Kawhi’s absence during the postseason, and he will now have to do it all over again over the course of an 82-game season. With that in mind, this is going to be a harsh season for the Clippers who have to contend with an increasingly brutal Western Conference.

Russ Drops Another One With “When This Was All New”

Love him or hate him, Russ has built himself up into a genuine success story. No stranger to performing his vast catalog to thousands upon thousands of adoring fans, Russ has once again delivered a new addition to his repertoire. This time, he’s tapping into his melancholic eighties bag with “When This Was New,” a vibey new drop that paints a bittersweet picture of fading passion.

Though it’s not quite so heavy on the bars as some of his material, Russ makes sure to keep himself sharp with a slick verse — though in reality, it’s the melodic sections that steal the show, effectively capturing his inner conflict. Fans of the once-declared Soundcloud King will likely vibe with “When This Was New,” and who knows — perhaps it might even signal a new style for the versatile artist.

Quotable Lyrics

Here I go, tryna do the most
Emotional damage, the bandaid’s a boat or a Ghost
Yeah, I know that our problems are deeper than that
But you fucked up too though, I ease to the back
Just to peep where you at, let me see how you act

Ric Flair Exposed For Alleged Sexual Assault, WWE Fans React

Ric Flair is considered to be one of the biggest legends in the history of wrestling although there are certain things about the wrestler that have remained uncovered. While there are some stories that are kind of public knowledge, there are extra details that have simply not been explained by those who lived through the experience.

A perfect example of this came yesterday during the airing of Vice’s Dark Side Of The Ring. The third season of the show promises to be extra interesting, and on last night’s episode, fans got to see the “Plane Ride From Hell” episode which details a 2002 incident where numerous wrestlers got way too rowdy on a plane ride from Europe back to the United States.

For years now, fans have known about the part in which Ric Flair exposed himself to the stewardesses. In the past, this incident has been played off as some joke that no one took all that seriously. Now, however, Flair is being accused of sexual assault for his part in the ordeal. In fact, a stewardess came forward to explain what she was allegedly subjected to.

“I was in the galley. Ric Flair was naked and he decided to come back to the galley to get a Coke,” she said. “Then he wouldn’t leave the galley. He had me back against the back door and I couldn’t move, I couldn’t get away from him. He was spinning around his penis and he wanted me to touch it. He took my hand and put it on him.”

Fans were appalled by these details and they immediately took to Twitter to give their reactions. While some defended the former wrestler, others demanded accountability. It even led to the resurfacing of a clip in which longtime WWE personality Teddy Long describes being called a racial slur by Flair.

Needless to say, fans are demanding answers as one of the WWE’s biggest legends is currently being hit with some pretty hefty allegations.
