DDG Celebrates His Success In Two Games With The Triumphant ‘Rucci’ Video

In his new single “Rucci,” Pontiac, Michigan-born rapper DDG brags that he “made a million dollars off a screen,” setting himself apart from a common rap narrative. And although he’s proud of his accomplishments, he also boasts that were he to dip into selling drugs like some of his contemporaries, he’d be just as good as that. The new single’s release was paired with a music video that dropped just a few hours later in which the rapper shows off some of his home art, cars, and female companions.

“Rucci” follows a string of standalone singles released in the wake of his breakout joint tape with OG Parker, Die 4 Respect. While that release helped earn him the notice of XXL‘s 2021 Freshman Class, he’s apparently been looking forward to his next project, a follow-up to his 2019 debut album Valedictorian. In addition to “Rucci,” DDG recently shared videos for “Midwest Flow,” “Lusted,” and “If I Go Broke” in the past month, showing a hustle that isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Earlier this summer, DDG became one of Uproxx’s cover artists, as well as sharing a performance of his song “Hood Melody” on UPROXX Sessions and offering his thoughts on Blueface for How I Blew Up.

Usain Bolt To Sha’Carri Richardson: “Train Harder” & Talk Less

Sha’Carri Richardson broke away from out of nowhere and became one of the biggest stories of the summer after she was barred from competing at the Tokyo Olympics because of a failed drug test for cannabis. Shortly after the announcement was she would not be competing, the American sprinter was met with a wave of support from all corners. However, the love quickly faded as Sha’Carri confidently stated that she would be returning at the Prefontaine Classic to sweep her competition.

During her return race, she finished in last place, which prompted the internet to share all kinds of memes and jokes about her misfortune. She started beefing with different members of the Jamaican national team and then when she competed again at the Diamond League, she narrowly missed the podium, finishing in fourth place.

Now, Usain Bolt is giving Sha’Carri some tips and tricks on how to manage her future success, advising her to stay at it and consider keeping things to herself the next time she wants to boast online.

“I would tell Sha’Carri to train harder and to be focused and not say too much,” said Usain during an interview with The New York Post. “If you talk that big talk you have to back it up. So just train hard and focus on that and try to come back, do it, and then talk about it.”

Bolt also said that the Jamaicans were inspired to humble Richardson after she took her trash talk to the internet pre-race.

“Jamaicans were vexed because she was talking a lot of shit before the actual race, it is just one of those things,” he said. “Jamaicans don’t like when people talk shit about us because we are a very proud people. So if you talk about us we are gonna want you to back it up. It definitely gave those women the extra push [to win.]”

Do you agree with Usain Bolt’s advice for Sha’Carri Richardson?

Giveon Fans Wildly React To Tour Dates Selling Out In Minutes

When Giveon first popped onto the scene, singing the chorus on “Chicago Freestyle” it felt like the Chicago singer would be the next recipient of the Drake stimulus package. In the year-and-a-half since then, however, it has become clear that Giveon’s rise to stardom was inevitable regardless of who co-signed him.

Receiving a Grammy nomination for his EP Take Time, another feature on a Drake record, this time on Certified Lover Boy‘s “In the Bible” alongside Lil Durk and most recently, the MTV VMA for Best Pop Video for his appearance on Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” with Daniel Caesar, Giveon’s star is ascending at a rapid rate and a couple of days ago, when the “Heartbreak Anniversary” singer announced his Timeless tour, fans were excited for an opportunity to watch him perform live.

Unfortunately, when those Timeless tour tickets were made available for presale this morning, they sold out in the blink of an eye, leaving many fans disappointed.

Giveon did attempt to remedy the issue, adding more tickets to multiple shows and an extra date in December but the damage had been done. Fans were left wildly disappointed and skeptical that Giveon’s switch to larger venues would even be enough.

On the “Chicago Freestyle” chorus Giveon sings, “Thirty degrees way too cold so hold me tight, will i see you at the show tonight?” After this morning’s rapid sellout, it turns out a whole bunch of people who wanted to see Giveon will *not* be seeing him at the show tonight.

Did you try to grab Giveon tickets? Were you successful or did you miss out? Let us know in the comments.

Roddy Ricch’s Album Is Being Mastered

Yesterday, Roddy Ricch sparked hype for his upcoming album Live Life Fa$t, a title he announced earlier this week. At the time, he reminded fans that he has been essentially living in the studio, establishing a precedent of perfectionism that bodes well for the young Compton rapper.

Though some hopefuls were under the impression that Live Life Fa$t might actually land as soon as today, which would put him head-to-head with Lil Nas X’s Montero; in other words, a clash of the commercial titans, with both parties having experienced no shortage of chart success. Nevertheless, that was not the reality, and today Roddy came through to give an update on where his album currently stands in the production assembly line.

“Master your energy while we master this album,” writes Ricch, warning fans to prepare both body and soul for what he’s about to drop. Clearly, he’s eager to share the project with the world, and it will certainly be interesting to see how he evolves in the wake of Please Excuse Me Of Being Antisocial. It goes without saying that Roddy won the hearts of the masses with “The Box,” which emerged as an unlikely hit for the young emcee; can he come out with a single that matches its universality? Time will tell.

Based on what we’ve heard, it seems possible that Roddy will be taking a more laid-back approach on this one, as evidenced by his recent slow-jam single “Late At Night.” Do you think Roddy Ricch’s Live Life Fa$t will top its predecessor? Sound off in the comments, and consider mastering your energy accordingly.

Air Jordan 4 “Red Thunder” Gets Official Images: Release Details

A few years ago, sneakerheads were given a phenomenal Air Jordan 4 colorway with the “Thunder” offering. This shoe was meant to be a spiritual successor to the “Lightning” model which was known for having its all-over yellow tones. The “Thunder” was different as it swapped the yellow for black while keeping some yellow on the sides and midsole as highlights.

Since the original release of the “Thunder” model, fans have been waiting for a comeback of sorts, and in just a few weeks, they will officially get one. The catch here is that the new model is called “Red Thunder” and it swaps out the yellow tones for some traditional red. As you can see in the images below, these colors are perfect for the Jordan 4 as they give off some immediate Chicago Bulls vibes. The shoe is simple yet colorful and if you like the Jordan 4, these are proving to be a must-cop.

The shoe is slated to be released in full family sizing on October 2nd, and the adult pairs will sell for a price of $190 USD. Let us know if you plan on copping a pair, in the comments below. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sneaker world.

The “Beat Box” rapper is reportedly recovering at a Florida hospital. The shooting incident took place at approximately 3 AM on Friday morning after he was leaving the studio. The driver’s side of the car was reportedly shot up at least twenty-two times. The driver was shot in his hip and SpotemGottem suffered gunshot wounds to both of his legs. As more information comes out regarding the rapper’s condition, we will keep you posted. We previously reached out to a representative at SpotemGottem’s label, but we have yet to hear back.

This comes on the same day of WizDaWizard’s reported death. The Sniper Gang affiliate was close with Kodak Black, and he was reportedly shot and killed in Florida last night. Read more about that story here.
