Brockhampton Reveal Merch Collection In Collaboration With Holiday

Brockhampton has collaborated with designer Nick Holiday’s brand, Holiday, for a new merch collection which is available now on their website. The collection features sweatshirts, sweatpants, both long-sleeve and short-sleeve t-shirts, and more.

The new pieces are modeled by the group’s members Romil, Roberto, Kevin Abstract, and Matt Champion, in a series of photos.

Nick Holiday has served as a key voice in the group’s creative team throughout their rise to fame.

“I am not in charge of their individual style, and sometimes I get afraid of that word ‘stylist’ because these dudes are so creative and so good at their job,” Holiday said in an interview with Complex back in 2019. “They are fucking awesome. They show me new stuff every day, too.”

As for his own brand, Holiday, he says the style is very much inspired by nostalgia.

“It’s all based on nostalgia,” he explained in a recent interview with Office. “Everything I do, it’s all based on emotion and it’s based on me seeing certain colors. Color is a very important way to express.”

He continued: “I like working with people that I’m really friends with, honesty. I love that. And music is one of my favorite things ever. So if I’m doing a brand, and an up-and-coming artist has a mixtape dropping, I want them to use my platform. If this helps them in any way, it’s going to help me too. We can all be honest about what helps us, instead of this cool, ‘Oh no, I’m doing you a favor.’”

Lil Nas X Says Making “Montero” Helped “Healing Many Unchecked Wounds”

Lil Nas X says that working on his new album, Montero, was therapeutic for him and helped him to heal “many unchecked wounds.” Nas dropped the debut album, Friday, after an attention-grabbing build-up that included him participating in a fake pregnancy photoshoot.

“I love joking but on a serious note making this album was therapy for me,” he wrote on Twitter, Saturday morning. “I began healing many unchecked wounds, facing skeltons in my closet i never wanted to, fighting internally every day and crying persistently, MONTERO is truly my baby. Thanks for the love.”

The project features collaborations with Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus, but surprisingly to many, not Drake or Nicki Minaj. Nas explained their absence from the project, on Twitter, earlier this week.

“No reply from Nicki, Drake was still working on [Certified Lover Boy],” he wrote. “This was like a few weeks ago and I understood completely, and he said he’s down to do something but [it was] just not the right time. He was trying to get his own sh*t together.”

Lil Nas X Explains How Making ‘Montero’ Was Like ‘Therapy’ For Him

The world finally received Lil Nas X’s debut album on Friday. Montero was delivered to the world complete with 15 tracks and features from Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Jack Harlow, and Elton John. The project’s release arrived with a new video for “That’s What I Want” and in the more than 24 hours since it dropped, Lil Nas has enjoyed fun and light-hearted reviews about the album while also sharing little tidbits about it. The singer did the latter in a tweet on Saturday morning that explained the importance of Montero to him.

“I love joking but on a serious note making this album was therapy for me,” he wrote in the tweet. “I began healing many unchecked wounds, facing skeltons in my closet i never wanted to, fighting internally every day and crying persistently, MONTERO is truly my baby. Thanks for the love.”

The message comes after Lil Nas explained why Drake and Nicki Minaj didn’t appear on the album. “No reply from Nicki, Drake was still working on [Certified Lover Boy],” he replied. The singer noted, however, that his request to work with Drake was recent.

“This was like a few weeks ago and I understood completely, and he said he’s down to do something but [it was] just not the right time. He was trying to get his own sh*t together.”

Man Claims 50 Cent Is Bullying Him Amidst $1 Billion Lawsuit Over “Power”

50 Cent is being sued for $1 billion by a man named Cory “Ghost” Holland Sr., who claims the New York rapper based the hit series Power on his real-life story. Holland also claims that 50 and the show’s producer, Courtney Kemp, are bullying him.

Holland filed a document in court accusing the two of bullying him and asking the court to help “legally protect his interests and his family and his legal justification if violence becomes necessary to protect him or his family.”

Holland claims he was friends with Kemp’s father in the early 1990s and the two remained in touch through 2007. He alleges that the series has based 200 scenes on his life.

“[Holland] wants to address this matter now and hopefully have it ceased before someone loses their life. [Holland] wants to keep this fight in the court, but is not afraid in [any] kind of way of other kind of confrontation with anyone,” the document continues.

The claim will likely be shot down as the one-year statute of limitations in New York has passed since the show was on the air.

While Power concluded in 2020, 50 has been promoting the spinoff series, Raising Kanan, which premiered earlier this year.

“I’m telling you, I got mad dirt. I got iPhone 3s and 4s in a safe just for y’all n-ggas and bitches. I got all my old phones. I got all the old DMs of y’all begging me to work with y’all — men and female. It’s nobody above me having dirt on you. I promise you this ain’t what y’all want so stop lying on me.”

Fans online are already speculating that Cam could be referring to his former artist, Vado, who spoke about the breakup of the UN in a recent interview with My Expert Opinion. UN was a group comprised of Cam and Vado in the early 2010s.

Hailey Bieber Shuts Down Rumors That Justin Beiber “Mistreats Her”

Hailey Bieber says rumors that Justin Bieber “mistreats her” are completely false. Hailey discussed “all the lies and all the bullshit” that people make up regarding their relationship in a new interview on 4D With Demi Lovato.

“There’s so many narratives that float around about me, about him, about us together,” Hailey explained. “There’s one big fat narrative that goes around that’s like, ‘Justin is not nice to her and he mistreats her. It’s so far from the truth. It’s the complete and utter opposite.”

Hailey added that they are doing better than ever despite the noise.

“I really am lucky to say I’m with someone who is extremely respectful of me, who makes me feel special every single day. So when I see the opposite of that, I’m just like, ‘Huh?’ And everybody around who knows us personally would say the same thing,” she said. “If the lie is, ‘They’re miserable in their relationship.’ Well, the truth is that we’ve literally never been more obsessed with each other and we have so much fun together. You have to surround yourself with people who remind you of that.”

Hailey and Justin confirmed that they were married in November 2018.

Chloe Bailey Doesn’t Remember Licking Her Microphone During VMAs Performance

Chloe Bailey may be just 23 years old, but she’s already built herself an incredibly impressive resume and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Earlier this month, the singer performed her debut solo single “Have Mercy” at the MTV VMAs, and she didn’t hesitate to put on quite the show.

After singing her heart out and dancing along to the track’s catchy beat, Bailey threw herself onto the stage, still giving the audience her all as she sassily grinned against the floor.

As the song came to an end, the camera zoomed in closer to the star’s face as she promptly gave the microphone a sensual lick and the crowd erupted into applause.

When performing in front of such a big audience it’s easy to imagine the kind of nerves that Bailey was dealing with as she paraded around in her bright pink ensemble.

From just watching the clip, you wouldn’t guess that Bailey is new to performing solo, but according to a recent tweet from the singer, she was so intensely focused on putting on a great show that she doesn’t remember her iconic microphone lick.

“I swear I didn’t even know I licked the mic until I watched the performance back,” she wrote, followed by a train of humorous emojis.

The “Do It” singer is best known for the music she makes with her little sister in their R&B duo, Chloe & Halle, but because of the latter being cast in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Chloe has had more time to focus on making music alone.

R. Kelly’s Assistant Denies Recruiting Underage Girls

Diana Copeland, R. Kelly’s longtime assistant who worked with the disgraced singer for 15 years, says she did not help recruit underage women nor did she witness any of the alleged abuse. Copeland spoke with Good Morning America, Friday, amidst Kelly’s ongoing sex crimes trial in Brooklyn, New York.

“[I] never witnessed something under … around underage women,” Copeland said of the allegations. “Now, I did come and go, so I mean, I want to make sure that I am clear that my experience does not negate anybody else’s experience.”

When pressed as to whether she assisted in the recruiting of the underage girls, Copeland replied, “He never asked me, but at the time … he was R. Kelly, a mega superstar. He needed no help to recruit women, or to get women.”

She added that she was surprised to hear the kidnapping and sexual assault accusations during the trial: “When this case came up, I was reading women were locked up and kidnapped. That’s not what I’m seeing. I’m not seeing anyone trying to leave. Every woman that left walked right out the door.”

During her appearance at the trial, Copeland did admit that Kelly “could get pretty heated,” and once demanded she wear only a robe to prove she wasn’t wearing a wire.

Jada Pinkett Smith & Tiffany Haddish Say Will Smith & Common Approve Of Their Shaved Heads

On her most recent episode of Red Table Talk, host Jada Pinkett Smith sat down with Tiffany Haddish to discuss plenty of important topics, including what the men in their life think of their bald and beautiful heads.

Smith, who shaved her head back in the summer, was questioned by Haddish, who wanted to know how her husband, Will Smith, reacted to such a big change.

“He loved it,” the mother of two told her friend. “He was like, ‘Stunning!’”

She then went on to explain that shaving her head was a decision she’d been pondering over for a long time. “I was just ready for that kind of expression and release. I’m so glad I did it. It was such a beautiful experience and such a freedom.”

The Girls Trip actress continued, “I feel more connected to myself and to the great diving in a very special way. I was just like, ‘I’m done. I’m just done with the worry. I’m done with the care. I’m just done.’”

Haddish then shared that she came to a similar realization during the pandemic, which prompted her to sport a new ‘do as well.

“During that pandemic time — the beginning of the pandemic, I was reading the Bible more, checking up on the Torah and everything. Everything is talking about ‘know thyself, know thyself.’ And that just kept resonating with me. I’m like, ‘Okay.’ When I hear things, I take it literal.”

By diving into her spiritual side, the comedian decided it was time to get rid of her hair. Shortly after making the chop, she showed her boyfriend, Common, who had a similar reaction to Smith’s husband.

“I called him on FaceTime. He looked. He said, ‘You’re beautiful. You look so beautiful. Oh, look at your face. You’re gorgeous. I can see you. I can see all of you,’” Haddish gushed.
