Since she was a young child, Britney Spears has lived her life in the spotlight. From her Mouseketeer days to her introductory “Baby One More Time” single to her umbrella-swinging, head-shaving breakdown, every move Spears makes has been heavily documented. The paparazzi made her life a nightmare during the height of her career, and it became so overwhelming that Spears took a step back from the spotlight.

Hulu’s Framing Britney Spears documentary was all the rage as it shined a light on the singer’s controversial conservatorship case involving her father. Spears hasn’t had full control over her life or career for years and her often puzzling social media posts have become a sort of deciphering game for dedicated fans. As much as Spears appreciates the “Free Britney” movement and the documentaries that have followed, she’s calling out the documentary producers for being just like the obsessive outlets that they’re reporting about.

“So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered !!!! These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing,” she wrote on Instagram. “I don’t know y’all but I’m thrilled to remind you all that although I’ve had some pretty tough times in my life … I’ve had waaaayyyy more amazing times in my life and unfortunately my friends … I think the world is more interested in the negative.”

He’s not one to spend much time on social media, but Kawhi Leonard surprised fans by going on Instagram Live today (May 3). The Los Angeles Clippers star is a celebrity who tends to shirk away from the spotlight, but he resurfaced to share that he’s working on a project called Culture Jam. The NBA icon chatted with Lake Norman Christian School basketball star Mikey Williams and revealed that he was curating a project that includes a few chart-topping artists.

It seems that Leonard has secured features from Rod Wave and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and he spoke about why he decided to take a step into a new avenue with the music project.

“The ‘Culture Jam’ project, it’s just merging Hip Hop and basketball together, you know what I mean,” said Leonard. “Pretty much, coming from our background, it goes hand-in-hand. So, May 7th we got NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave dropping a single. It’s fire. I appreciate you for being involved in it as well.”

Defying claims that she’s only “Lil Baby’s baby mama,” Jayda Cheaves has a new business venture on the horizon. She’s been a social media influencer for some time, first kicking off her online career on Poshmark reselling clothing. When she was 16-years-old, Jayda launched her own t-shirt line, and soon, she shifted to the beauty market where she found even more success selling weaves and bundles.

However, many people unfamiliar with Jayda’s accomplishments only know her as the mother of Lil Baby’s son. The couple welcomed Loyal in February 2019 but, in the end, their romance didn’t last. Yet, that hasn’t stopped Baby from shining light on his ex’s accomplishments including the opening of her new store.

Jayda shared images and videos of her celebratory moment and she made sure to include a mention of Lil Baby who sent her a gift. “Thank you @lilbaby it’s the custom roses for meeeee [sparkle hearts emoji] big congrats.” She also gave a nod to Coi Leray’s “No More Parties” in the caption to one of her posts about her new merch store.

Regardless of what people have to say about his relationship with Lori Harvey, Michael B. Jordan is a man in love. The Without Remorse actor has been busy on the media circuit as he promotes his latest Amazon Prime Video film, and predictably, Jordan has been repeatedly hit with questions about his romance with socialite Lori Harvey. 

Jordan recently hosted an intimate gathering at his Los Angeles home to celebrate the premiere of the film and, of course, his real-life leading lady was by his side. The actor recently caught up with Entertainment Tonight‘s Nischelle Turner for an interview on the go as she helped him and Village for Vets “deliver fresh groceries and meals to unhoused veterans.” As they executed their charity work, Turner asked about Jordan’s romance with Harvey and what qualities he likes in a woman.

“I think a sense of humor, I think the ability to laugh—that infectious feeling, I think is really, really sexy,” he said. “A nice smile and a laugh and a sense of humor is really sexy to me. [Harvey has] all of those things. Yeah, she’s very funny. A lot of people don’t know that about her. She’s very funny.”

As a coach at one of the largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the United States, Deion Sanders is disappointed with the outcome of the 2021 NFL Draft. The two-time All-American, two-time Super Bowl champion had an extensive and successful career in the NFL before turning in his helmet. Currently, Sanders divides his time as a sports analyst and the head coach of Jackson State University‘s football team, and he shared on social media that he’s appalled with the recent draft.

Sanders reposted an image of himself in his coach gear along with a tweet from The Undefeated that reads, “There were 259 picks in the 2021 #NFLDraft – not a single draft pick featured a player from an HBCU.”

In the caption to the image, Sanders unleashed his ire. “And we have the Audacity to Hate on one another while our kids are being NEGLECTED & REJECTED,” he wrote. “I witnessed a multitude of kids that we played against that were more than qualified to be drafted. My prayers are that This won’t EVER happen again. Get yo knife out my back and fight with me not against me! #CHANGE #Truth #CoachPrime.”

Romance rumors regarding H.E.R. and Skip Marley have been mulling around since last year. The pair of exceptional singers joined together on “Slow Down,” a single featured on his Higher Place project. The chemistry on-screen caused a buzz among fans but the pair have dodged questions of if their professional relationship had turned personal. 

Marley, the grandson of icon Bob Marley, has been establishing his own career and sound that speaks to him as an individual as he continues the family legacy. The young stars have kept out scandals and controversies, so it wasn’t surprising that H.E.R. was straightforward with her answer when asked about her relationship with Marley.

H.E.R. recently chatted with The Morning Hustle about her accomplishments and projects, but the Marley topic couldn’t be avoided. “What’s crazy is we didn’t work in the studio together,” said H.E.R. of their collaboration. “I fell in love with the song and we finally met and, yeah, it was a vibe. Skip, I love Skip. Like, that’s definitely somebody I can chill with and be cool with. Skip is one of those guys, he super talented and super chill. It’s never on some extra stuff.”

During the height of T.I. and Tiny’s scandal as accusations of sexual misconduct were pouring in by the day, Shekinah Jo Anderson stepped forward to defend her friends. Shekinah has been thick as thieves with the couple for years and has even co-hosted shows with Tiny, but their friendship has come to an end. According to Shekinah, when she stepped forward on behalf of her former friends, she alleges Tiny was there coaching her.

Shekinah spoke on Livestream about working with Tiny and T.I. and alleged that she would get paid next to nothing. She cried as she recalled the demise of their longstanding friendship, and Tiny couldn’t pass up the opportunity to respond to the accusations. Shekinah previously took to Livestream in January to say that Sabrina Peterson, the person who launched this scandal against T.I. and Tiny, had sex with the couple and recruited women for them. She later backtracked on her statements.

“It’s a shame I’m addressing this be now,” Tiny continued. “Just sick of all the lies. Day after day!! I will forever wish her nothing but the best still, it’s sad when close friends turn to enemies but God has his way & I won’t ?? Him!”
