G Herbo & Taina Williams Are Building Their Dream Home

There is a lot of change and movement going on in G Herbo’s life and he’s trying to keep himself grounded. The rapper is currently battling charges related to fraud after he and his reported associates stand accused of making illegal purchases with stolen goods. Herbo has denied the allegations against him and while prosecutors attempt to build a case, the rapper and his pregnant fiancée, Taina Williams, are moving forward and breaking ground on their new home.

Taina shared a first-look at her new digs on her Instagram where she shared a Boomerang of the home being built. It seems that the first floor is complete, and while he didn’t give any other details of what’s expected to be a massive residence, Taina is excited about the outcome. Meanwhile, Herbo took to social media to speak about ignoring the negativity he receives online.

“We live in a world and time where people get torn down for their accomplishments,” the rapper said. “Me personally, I feel like, when you see somebody comment or say something negative about a person or what they’re doing or where they are in life, it just tells you what kinda person that is that’s commenting or saying the negative thing about somebody.”

Herbo added that no one in life has it all figured out. Check out both clips below.

Jay-Z Autographed Trading Card Fetches $105,780 At Auction: Report

Billion-dollar businessman Jay-Z has continuously made profitable and influential moves that have proved lucrative for all who have their names attached to his companies. The rapper-turned-mega-mogul recently made headlines after inking a deal with Jack Dorsey and Square Inc. in the massive Tidal sell-off that made Carter just a few hundred million dollars richer. Someone else had a slight Ja-Z-related come up in recent weeks after one of his personally signed trading cards went up for auction.

According to Uproxx, the 2005 “Signs of Stardom” trading card was up for sale thanks to Goldin Auctions. The outlet reported that the autographed card was lingering around the $2,000 mark before a buyer went all out to make sure they were the new owner of Jay-Z-touched memorabilia.

The trading card was purchased for $105,780, and it’s reported that Jay-Z’s card fetched the most money ever for one that was of a non-sports figure. There are plenty of Hov fans out there that would love to get their mitts on a Hip Hop history collectible, but we’re not sure if most would dish out over $100K for a rapper’s trading card. Either way, it’s expected that this Jay-Z card will only increase in value in years to come.

Check it out below and let us know if you would pay big bucks for your favorite artist’s trading card.

Rachel Dolezal To Appear In Documentary About Black Beauty

The SXSW festival took place this past week, where artists of all industries, including film, music, and gaming, converge to showcase the best of what the arts have to offer. During the film section of the festival, a documentary called Subjects of Desire by director Jennifer Holness premiered. The film follows the North American shift of beauty ideals to those that embody Black female aesthetics, discussing how these features are often overlooked or seen as less desirable on Black women and yet praised on white women.

Exploring perspectives from both sides of the spectrum, the film includes a personality you might be surprised to see talking about Black beauty: Rachel Dolezal. In the film, Dolezal says she was forced into a “white mold” and had her spirit “repressed.”

“I’ve been called an insult to white women and an insult to Black women,” Dolezal says. “White women are angry because I did what they never would do and went further, like I put 110. I didn’t just be that white ally and do a little bit, I canceled my white privilege. I canceled my hair. For Black women, I feel like it’s a reaction to pain. It’s like a trigger to post-traumatic stress.”

While many found it strange that director Jennifer Holness included Dolezal in the film, she believes her perspective had to be included for a well-rounded discussion about appropriation and Black beauty standards.

“It wasn’t a commercial thought,” she told The Daily Beast. “It wasn’t like I thought, ‘Oh my God, if I put her in, it’ll be controversial!’ No, not at all. I’m doing a film on Black women and beauty and this is the first time that I’ve come across a white woman pretending to be Black for 10 years when there wasn’t a massive financial benefit.”

Local police and federal authorities descended onto the location and while exact details have not yet been shared, it has been reported that there are multiple injuries. There was reportedly a man with blood on his leg who was walked out of the market by authorities (seen in a clip below) in handcuffs and was later transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. His identity is unknown at the time of this publication.

USA Today reports that a witness named Dean Schiller claimed to have just exited the store when the incident occurred. According to Schiller, he not only heard the gunshots but also saw three people facedown, one of which was in the parking lot, but he didn’t know if they were alive or dead. Another witness inside said that following the gunshots, patrons began stampeding to safety.

CNN reports that multiple people have been killed, including a police officer, and the suspect has been taken into custody.

NBA YoungBoy Arrested After Running From Federal Authorities: Report

He’s been involved in a string of legal troubles in recent years and on Monday (March 22), it’s reported that NBA YoungBoy is tacking another onto the list. The report doesn’t have much information as it’s a developing story, but TMZ claims that the Los Angeles Police Department and federal authorities attempted to pull over a vehicle that YoungBoy was riding in because “he has an outstanding federal warrant.” However, things didn’t go according to plan.

It’s unclear what part of the city this took place, but the outlet states that there was a “short pursuit” of the vehicle after it didn’t immediately stop for authorities. When it did, things continued to spiral as it’s reported that NBA YoungBoy decided to flee on foot, but he didn’t get far. Police moved into action to find the rapper and even brought out a K-9 that eventually found YoungBoy’s location. Fortunately, he wasn’t bitten or injured by the animal.

A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered a firearm, but it’s unclear who the weapon belongs to. YoungBoy has had multiple run-ins with authorities over alleged and reported shootings, assaults, drug possession, and firearms. Last September, he was arrested while reportedly filming a music video and later, YoungBoy stood accused of being involved in an assault. After being released from jail in 2019, the rapper was initially ordered to house arrest.

We’ll keep you updated as the story develops.

Gervonta Davis Indicted On Several Charges Related To Hit-And-Run Crash: Report

There’s another fight on the horizon for Gervonta Davis, but this time it’s a legal one. The champion boxer first found himself in trouble with the law back in November 2020 after he was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run accident in downtown Baltimore. According to a report by The Baltimore Sun, it was on November 5 when Davis was photographed at a nearby club where he was believed to be celebrating a recent boxing win. Later, police identified Davis as the second driver involved in a crash that left a woman with “fairly serious injuries,” according to her lawyer.

On  Monday (March 22), it was announced that Davis was indicted on several misdemeanor charges including “failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failure to render reasonable assistance to an injured person, driving on a suspended license and related charges.” Davis was reportedly riding in a Lamborghini that ran a red light and crashed into the reported victim’s 2004 Toyota Solara. The latter vehicle, which reportedly had four people inside aged 18 to 20, would later be described as “destroyed” as the Lambo, which had no license plates, also hit a fence and was no longer driveable.

The Baltimore Sun further states that Davis could be looking at years of jail time if convicted. The identity of the alleged victims has not been shared. It’s believed that Davis was injured in the accident but that has not been confirmed. Witnesses reportedly told authorities that after the accident, a black Camaro arrived at the scene, took items from the Lamborghini, and Davis and a woman fled the scene. The event was reportedly captured on surveillance footage.

Lil Yachty Drops “No More Beatboxing” Freestyle

Coi Leray’s family drama might be spilling into the public eye but she’s still riding high. With the release of “No More Parties (Remix)” ft. Lil Durk, and the upcoming collab with Pooh Shiesty, she’s well on her way to establishing her name independently from the drama. The true key to a hit single is when it starts getting remixed by others. Lil Yachty popped out earlier today with a brand new remix of Coi Leray’s single, mashed up with a remix of SpottemGottem’s “Beat Box” for his new freestyle, “No More Beatboxing Freestyle.” On the first half, the rapper takes on the more “bubblegum trap” stylings he introduced at the early stages of his career before diving into the ferocious production of Spottem’s single while revealing that Kanye West once tried to sign him when he was 18-years-old.

Check it out below.

Quotable Lyrics
No rearview in my life, leave that shit behind me
I was only 18 years old when Kanye tried to sign me
N***as gangstas online ’til you see ’em then they Mahatma Gandhi
Better tell my bitches get a bitch that tatted like Kehlani

Yak Yola & Lil Gotit Dive Into Their Vices On “Pill Poppin”

Alamo Records is truly a powerhouse in the rap game right now. With artists like Lil Durk, Rod Wave, and 03 Greedo leading the team, Alamo’s also been introducing a ton of new talent in recent times. Gritty talent, too, that isn’t necessarily meant to appeal to the radio airwaves. West Philadelphia rapper Yak Yola has been steadily blowing up, especially after his collaboration with King Von “Slide” dropped a few months back.

Yak Yola continues his triumphant run through the rap game this week with the release of his latest single, “Pill Poppin” with fellow Alamo signee Lil Gotit. The two rappers collide over a chaotic instrumental with contrasting styles. Yak’s aggression is reminiscent of the Philly battle rappers that came from the West side of the city, though Lil Gotit’s delivers delicate melodies doused in auto-tune that’s reminiscent slightly reminiscent of Travis Scott.

aggression and grit as they detail the rockstar lifestyle led by guns and drugs.

Check the latest from Yak Yola below.

Quotable Lyrics
Now I get the bag
Then go wipe him with this cash
We givin’ out no cash
Yeah they gang on his ass
