Tammy Rivera Claims She Was Racially Profiled By CVS

Tammy Rivera Malphurs claimed that a CVS manager racially profiled her on a late-night run to get hair supplies. The “Charlie” singer recorded herself ranting as she explained the situation in a video posted on Instagram, all while capturing the manager in the background.

“I’m in CVS, I come here almost every other night. I know every person that works in this store. I came here to get a satin hair wrap and some Doo Gro oil. This lady sat here—she must be new—she sat here and she watched me on the aisle, acting like she was fixing stuff on the aisle,” explained Malphurs in the video.

She detailed how she proceeded to open the hair scarf she came in to buy, at which the employee confronted her, “She’s watching me so hard that when I opened this pack, she said, ‘Don’t do that.’ I said, ‘Who you talking to?’ I said, ‘If I’m buying this, I can do whatever I want.'”

The employee laughs as the singer continues on, “Why you watching me from two aisles away telling me not to open something that I’m about to pay for? And then she gon tell me to leave the store. I tell her to call the police.”

Tammy posted a follow-up reaction video to her Instagram after leaving the store, “@cvspharmacy, I’m disgusted in the lack of customer service, the disrespect, and the racist profiling I experienced tonight,” she wrote.

In a calmer state of mind than the first video, the singer better articulated her emotions during the situation: “Not once did she greet me, not once did she ask if I needed help with anything, not once did she say hello, goodnight, is there anything I can help you with? Can I help you find anything? Instead, as soon as she saw me do something that she [thought] was wrong or she felt…wasn’t right, or was against the store policy, she [said] ‘Don’t do that!'”

Malphurs expressed her frustration on the frequent instances of racial profiling on people of color, and in her own instance, how the manager described her as a “brown-skinned woman” in her call to the police. “I just felt like, why did that even matter?” she explained.

Amanda Seales & Issa Rae React To “Insecure” Alpha Kappa Alpha Critics

Unfortunately for fans,Insecure is in its final days. Issa Rae and Co. have been gearing up for the show’s send-off and while longtime viewers take to social media to debate scandalous characters and plot lines. However, one woman sparked controversy after she called out Amanda Seales. The comedian has starred on Insecure for years but on Monday (October 25), a social media user decided to target the actress for wearing Alpha Kappa Alpha colors.

The coveted pink and green organization is one of The Divine Nine historically Black sororities and fraternities. Anyone familiar with Greek life knows that they do not play games when it comes to their colors, letters, or misrepresentation of their organizations, and after a woman called out Seales, the actress became a trending topic.

Soon, other sorors were complaining that Seales was disrespecting their organization and demanding an explanation or apology, but they seemed to fail to acknowledge it wasn’t actually Seales, but her character Tiffany DuBois. Furthermore, the character of Tiffany throughout the show has represented the AKAs, so this current controversy has confused the majority of viewers.

Another woman tweeted Issa Rae and HBO, telling them to never disrespect the AKAs again. “Oh sh*t, let me tell @HBO to delete the one of the upcoming episodes then, hold on,” Issa replied. Meanwhile, Seales has been vehemently defending herself against critics as she points out the obvious and shares supportive messages from people who admit that they don’t like her, but they still have to stand for the truth.

Additionally, it has been well-established in the industry that in order for shows such as these to use licensed lettering or paraphernalia, they would have to receive written approval from the organization, and some are arguing that Issa Rae did just that. Check it out below.

Q Da Fool Delivers His Remix Of “Who Want Smoke”

Nardo Wick came through at the top of the year with “Who Want Smoke??” — a slow-burning anthem that recently got revived with the release of its remix. With some assistance from 21 Savage, G Herbo, and Lil Durk, as well as a video shot by Cole Bennett, Nardo Wick took the bubbling banger to the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It was inevitable that it would end up getting remixed. Shortly after Wick dropped the updated version with Savage, Herb, and Durk, Kodak Black and Chief Keef flipped the record. This week, Q Da Fool slid through with his own freestyle over the viral track. The DMV MC delivers charismatic punchlines over the guttural production with high energy on this one.

Q Da Fool recently dropped off his project Twins.

Check out his freestyle below.

Seth Rogen Sings Kanye’s Praises For “Donda,” Listened To It “2 Weeks Straight Non-Stop”

His long history with Kanye West has been the subject of interview stories and internet memes, and now Seth Rogen is giving his take on Donda. The pair of international superstars may not be best friends, but their relationship dates back a decade. Rogen and his bestie James Franco once parodied Ye’s “Bound 2” music video where Kim Kardashian straddles the rapper on a motorcycle. Then, there was the story that Ye rapped Yeezusfor the comedic actor in its entirety.

While chatting with Pharrell Williams on the OTHERtone podcast, Rogen gave his opinions on Donda and it is clear that he is a fan of West’s latest project.

After expressing that he “loves” Donda, Rogen explained why West’s music stands out.

“To me, Kanye is just such a unique artist and to me, I think what he does is really interesting,” said the actor. “You can turn on any song for half a second and kind of know it’s a Kanye song. I think it’s auteur-ish, as I think a lot of performers are, and that’s something I think is really interesting—that he can carve out a sound that is so unique.”

“I think an interesting journey that I keep getting taken on is that I can look and be like, ‘What is this guy talking about? How much stupid stuff can come out of someone’s mouth?’” Rogen admitted. “And then be like, ‘I love this album. It’s incredible. I’m going to listen to it for two weeks straight and not stop.'”

Skims x Fendi Collaboration Announced By Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian continues to take her shapewear company, Skims, to the next level. The CEO revealed that a collaboration with the luxury Italian fashion brand Fendi has been in the works since March 2020.

The capsule is set to launch next month, with the collection containing various pieces such as bralettes, tights, jumpsuits, and puffer jackets.

The Kardashian mogul shared photos of herself modeling the collab items on her Instagram, “Introducing FENDI x SKIMS – a first of its kind collaboration that unites the luxury of @Fendi with the innovation of @SKIMS. This limited edition collection launches on November 9 at 6am PST at www.fendiskims.com. #FENDIxSKIMS,” she wrote.

The launch marks the brand’s first designer partnership, but the announcement doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering the speculation that began when the Kardashian visited Fendi’s headquarters in Rome over the summer.

Skims has kept the media personality high in the business world rankings. The company, estimated by Forbes to be worth $500 million, surpassed expectations when Kardashian announced in April that the enterprise was valued at 1.6 billion dollars. The brand has been notorious for being unable to keep items in stock, with its first-ever launch selling out in minutes, emptying out $2 million in inventory.

The company is notorious for being unable to keep shelves stocked, thanks to its huge demand. Each re-stock has proven to sell out in seconds, so mark your calendars, because this one will be no exception.

Floyd Mayweather Supports Kyrie Irving’s Anti-Vaxx Stance: “I Choose Liberty”

There have been lines drawn in the sand as it pertains to Kyrie Irving’s ongoing controversy, and Floyd Mayweather has chosen his side. The Brooklyn Nets star has been stealing attention as he remains unvaccinated with no plans on getting the COVID-19 vaccine anytime soon. His participation in the league has been hit with obstacles as mandates are strictly enforced, causing his supporters to rally around him while detractors take to social media to drag his name.

Earlier today (October 25), Floyd Mayweather uploaded a video where he spoke directly to Irving about his current state of affairs, and in his caption, the champion boxer penned a lengthy message where he spoke about the freedom of choice.

“Choice is defined as an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities. To my understanding, America gave us the choice to take the vaccine or not take the vaccine originally,” wrote Mayweather. “As time moves on, that choice is gradually being stripped from us. Limiting the jobs we can do, places we can go, and activities we can perform. Trying to beat us into submission of what they say is best for us.”

“It’s sad people are hated, punished, teased, and discriminated for not taking the vaccine, for making their own choice, standing up for what they not only think is right, but know is right for them and their families. I am Pro Choice. A person should be free to make the decision best suited for themself. If we can’t make our own decisions we are not truly free.”

In his video, Mayweather commended Irving for being a man of “integrity” and he stated that he respected the basketball star for standing on his principles. Watch the clip and read through Mayweather’s caption below.

Last week, he dropped off “Sun Up To Sun Down,” and now, he’s returned with his latest offering, “Unwanted Lifestyle.” He captures melancholy on his new record as he details the highs and lows of the newfound fame. Tyson Beckford Reacts To Rumors That Drake & Kanye Got Lipo, Says He’s “Built Different”

People have long been aware that it hasn’t only been women receiving liposuction, but when Funk Flex suggested that a few of our favorite rappers went under the knife, it surprised some fans. It was back in February when Flex said he only underwent liposuction after hearing that high-profile rappers did the same. The comments quickly went viral, and Tyson Beckford was asked for his thoughts on the topic while chatting with VladTV.

“Some men are out there getting liposuction.  Ain’t gon’ name no [names], but we know who some of them is,” said Tyson. “I’m not f*ckin’ with it. I don’t need to.” Vlad said he would gladly name names, including mentioning Funk Flex airing out artists like Drake, Kanye West, and LL Cool J earlier this year.

Beckford couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “I’m a 50-year-old man who does work five days a week,” said the supermodel. “I built a gym in my garage. It’s fully equipped. There’s no way I could walk—on my way here I walked by it, I’m like, yo, I should bust out some reps.” He added that some people “are just built different” because they’re more dedicated to putting in work at the gym rather than relying on cosmetic surgery.

“There’s no reason for me to go lay down on some doctor’s table and have him jabbing and sticking and sucking…you seen it right? That sh*t is wild!” It hasn’t been confirmed that Drake, Kanye, or LL have actually had liposuction, but Funk Flex’s previous comments have people believing that it is true.
