“SNL” Refutes Kanye West’s Claims That Kim Kardashian Was Forced To Joke About Their Divorce

Many people were unsure how to feel when it was announced that Kim Kardashian would be hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live last month, but the reality star undeniably killed her performance – landing all of her jokes, and even scooping up a rumoured new fling in the process.

Back in February, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, Kanye West. The two have had a rocky relationship over the years, with the constant pressure of being in the spotlight and Ye struggling with mental health issues from time to time. During a recent appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, the “Stronger” rapper made it abundantly clear that he hopes to reconcile with KKW.

“[It’s] no joke to me. My kids want their parents to stay together. I want their parents – I want us to be together,” the father of four told N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. “SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off, and I have never seen the papers. We’re not even divorced.”

After the interview, a source close to the SKIMS founder shared that she’s “not surprised” by West’s comments, but she has no desire to rekindle their relationship. In fact, a recent TMZ article says that Ye isn’t telling the truth about what happened on SNL. Apparently, his wife’s opening monologue was written ahead of time without help from the show, including the line about their ongoing divorce.

Reports say that the socialite’s speech was largely unchanged from what she arrived with, give or take a few suggestions here and there from cast members. KKW may acknowledge the technicalities currently keeping her marriage together, but she still considers herself a free woman, which is why she’s been spending so much time with SNL actor Pete Davidson lately.

The Chicago native’s claims about not having seen any paperwork have also been debunked – West has even signed off on Kardashian buying their former family home from him for $23 million.

Although headlines say that the producer is “not happy” about Davidson being in the picture, he appears to have a fling of his own going on with a 22-year-old model named Vinetria, who he’s been seen spending plenty of time with.

SZA’s New Album: Everything We Know

It’s 5am on February 17th, 2021 and SZA has just logged onto CBS This Morning. “New music is literally on the way. I haven’t slept. I’m coming directly from the studio right now,” she says in the interview. “I left the studio at like 3:30 am. Music is on the way.”

When SZA burst onto the music scene back in 2012 with her self-released debut EP See.SZA.Run, she was already meeting positive reviews, not for the project’s ability to hit numbers with radio replayability (it was still a pretty low-key release at the time), but for its character as a deeply intimate, personal experience– the exact reason that fans have come to love her music so much. “I’m just a girl from the ‘burbs who talks about exactly how she feels too often,” she continued on the air with CBS

The same goes for her subsequent EPs S and Z— the stories she tells, married with her distinct sound, often feel extremely personal, as though they are being told by a friend on a late-night phone call. With Ctrl, that sound found its true moment of triumph, a lush testament to SZA’s genre-bending sonic range. Ctrl envelops listeners in the mess of young love. The distinguishing lilt to her voice flowers over every song.

Four years later, Camp SZA is still waiting for new music. Their ears haven’t been barren though; since dropping Ctrl back in 2017, SZA released two songs under her label– the 2020 singles “Hit Different” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and “Good Days”, as well as a number of other notable collaborations (including her viral features on “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat and “fue mejor” by Kali Uchis). SZA herself, however, has expressed that she’s ready to put out her new music.

“I have so much to write about. I feel like I’m in a cage,” SZA told Flaunt in a recent interview. “I’m making the best album of my life, and I know that.”

Here’s everything we know about SZA’s forthcoming album, below.

SZA hasn’t announced any of her features or offered much news around the new project’s tracklist, but she has a number of superstar collaborations in the vault.

In an interview with Kerwin Frost back in 2019, SZA revealed that she has a number of exciting collaborations on the backburner, having worked with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Post Malone, and Jack Antonoff over the years.

“Yesterday, I was in the studio with Justin Timberlake,” she said in the interview, which took place in the living room of SZA’s New York residence. “That was kind of nuts. We made a really cool song, and I couldn’t believe it. We’re on the same label I heard, which I didn’t know until yesterday, and he was like, ‘I wanna work with you.’ I was like, ‘Why?’, and he was like, ‘Shut up, let’s just make stuff,’ and we did, and it was really great.”

Fans have speculated that SZA’s longtime friend Doja Cat may also be on her new album, considering the New Jersey-born singer’s feature on Doja’s hit single “Kiss Me More”. Lizzo may be featured on the album as well.

“Recorded with Lizzo ‘til 5 last night,” SZA tweeted back in May of this year. “Very pure experience. Always a vibe. Really love my fren.”

The delayed release of SZA’s new album seems to be due to some issues with her label, Top Dawg Entertainment– at least in part.

Last year, SZA responded to fans’ questions about her album release date on Twitter. “At this point, y’all gotta ask Punch,” she said in a now-deleted tweet, referencing rapper, producer, and music executive Punch of Top Dawg Entertainment. Shortly afterward, a fan asked Punch when they could expect SZA to drop new music. To that, he bluntly yet vaguely responded, “soon.”

SZA relayed Punch’s response back to her fans. “This is all he says to me as well,” she tweeted out. “Welcome to my f*cking life.”

Despite the delays her album has encountered over the years, SZA has since set the record straight on her relationship with Punch, clarifying that there are no hard feelings. “Punch is my manager (not a machine or label),” she spoke out in a tweet published in May. “Also been like my stage dad the last 10 yrs. Be nice to him pls. He really fights for me. Not angry with him. Or anybody really. Just my own choices.”

SZA’s unreleased song “SHIRT” went viral on TikTok earlier this year, which has since become one of the focal points on her expected project.

After sharing a snippet of her new song “SHIRT” on TikTok back in January, the song went viral, and SZA has clarified that although she wasn’t certain about the song’s placement on the project at first, the song’s feedback and transformation over the last year have made the track a central part of her upcoming album.

“I guess the way TikTok works… is you can take any original sound from any place and make it a thing, so now this song that I wasn’t even 100 percent sure of the placement on my album has centered itself on my album,” SZA told CBS This Morning. “I’m in a rush to get it out and ready… I shot a video for it, and now it’s ‘SHIRT’.”

Watch SZA’s live performance of “SHIRT”, still unreleased, below at 48:26.

Teasing her fans, SZA has joked about “scrapping” everything she has for her new album and starting from scratch multiple times, though she continues to hint at her creative and sonic direction.

sza new album release date

In a July 2021 interview with Women’s Wear Daily, SZA dropped a few hints regarding the material and sounds fans can expect to hear on the still-untitled project.

“I think they’ll be surprised to know that it’s not what they thought, and it’s not coming when they thought,” SZA said. “I hope that they’ll be pleasantly surprised.”

With this project, SZA is aiming for a “fresh” perspective that listeners haven’t heard from her before, cementing her role and sound as an artist. “This album is going to be the sh*t that made me feel something in my heart and gut,” she continues in the interview. “That’s what’s going to go on the album. I’m making all different types of sh*t every day from different places in my spirit.”

Even with these visions in mind, SZA is undoubtedly continuing to perfect the project and has– on multiple occasions– insinuated that she might scrap the music altogether and start anew. “I’m actually probably about to scrap all of it and start from scratch,” she said in the interview, only half-joking– this isn’t the first time she’s talked about doing so.

In August of this year, SZA released 3 new songs on an anonymous Soundcloud account, though it’s unclear which of these tracks, if any, will officially appear on the new project.

On August 22nd at 5:06am, SZA announced on Twitter that she had dumped some “random thoughts” on three unreleased tracks, all published on Soundcloud under an anonymous account, simply entitled “.” and based “nowhere.” The three songs, “Nightbird”, “I Hate You”, and “Joni”, are driven by their dreamy bedroom whimsy.

In a tweet posted two hours later, SZA revealed that she was urged to drop the songs after her astrologer told her to release the tracks at exactly 5:01am PST. Whether or not the tracks will be featured on the upcoming album, however, is unknown.

A fake announcement declaring that SZA’s album would be released last Friday, November 5th recently spread through Twitter. SZA was quick to clear up those rumors.

Last month, a fake announcement published by a SZA fan account on Twitter, @UngodlySolana, declared that SZA’s album would be released on November 5th, spreading the rumor across Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms. The announcement was understandably met with a few raised eyebrows, given that SZA’s feature on Summer Walker’s Still Over It— Summer’s newest album, released November 5– had already become common knowledge.

SZA was swift in clearing up the rumors. “I jus wanna know y y’all think I would drop same time as Summer and I’m ON her album, like wut,” she tweeted out in her reply to a fan.

Despite a release date still being unannounced, SZA confirmed a 2021 drop at the top of the year.

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images

In an interview with Cosmopolitan that arrived in January 2021, SZA seemingly confirmed with the publication that the album would be arriving this year– a twitter event at the time went viral, with the headline, Yes, SZA *Will* Be Dropping an Album this Year. Obviously, we are still waiting for a confirmed release date.

Nonetheless speaking with the publication on the much-teased album, SZA said, “This album is going to be the sh*t that made me feel something in my…here [gut] and in here [heart].”

She continued, “That’s what’s going to go on the album. I’m making all different types of sh*t every day from different places in my spirit.”

SZA plans to keep quiet about the project until the album officially drops.

In her Flaunt interview, SZA was asked to comment on the “sophomore jinx”– how artists who have reached great success with their first album might sometimes hit devastating creative ruts with their second.

“I’ve been talking sh*t to myself on different topics every day for the last week,” SZA said on her sources of creative inspiration. “[That’s] typically how I start– coming up with little catchphrases in the car on the way home. I’ll be like, ‘Cute.’ Then I’ll be like, ‘I think I’m ready to write and start recording.”

When asked to make further comments on the contents of the upcoming album, the “Drew Barrymore” singer remained blunt. “I’m literally not talking about my album anymore until it’s out in the world,” she emphasized. “At this point, I’m gonna start jinxing it, and I don’t want to jinx anything.”

While we’re not quite sure when SZA’s new album will drop, we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Brittany Renner and Kevin Samuels Link Up Following PJ Washington Split

Brittany Renner may once again be up to no good. The social media influencer was found meeting up with image consultant Kevin Samuels, with Samuels filming her standing beside a car.

“Shirley…Shirley can’t fit in that. But she can…” Samuels says as he pans the camera to Renner. Renner interjects with a laugh, “I know who can,” before Samuels ends, “Uh oh, bye Shirley.”

Renner recently split from her ex, PJ Washington, with allegations from the basketball player that she had been “faking” their relationship the whole time. Fans reacted strongly to the controversial relationship, as the fitness model’s lineup includes an extensive lineup of big names, including James Harden, DrakeLil Uzi Vert, Jamal Murray, Ben Simmons, Trey SongzChris BrownColin Kaepernick, and more.

However, Washington and Renner went on to have a baby together. The two called it quits in July, with the NBA player making claims that Renner had trapped him and used him solely for fame and money.

Samuels is also not without a few controversies. The consultant is infamous for creating a platform out of critiquing the physiques of famous women, including the likes of Lizzo and Big Shirley, who is assumed to be the woman he is referencing in the video.

Samuels has previously targeted Lizzo for her contribution to a body positive Nike campaign— except it wasn’t even Lizzo in the ad.

“BBWs Don’t Be Afraid To Get On Top. If He Dies, He Dies! Just do it,” the ad joked. Despite the headline, the ad look real and was enough to fool Samuels. In the caption, Samuels added, “So now violence is okay? Or is it just one way violence from women to men? Oh, wait it’s just a joke, right? No major, or even minor, brand would dar do something like this if the genders were reversed.”

The consultant is also known for rating women based on their physical appearance on a scale of one to ten. He has previously rated rapper Saweetie a six, calling her “an adjustable six, meaning she could go from cute to pretty.”

What do you think of the pair? Do they make a good couple, let us know in the comments.

Joel Embiid To Miss Up To 10 Days Due To Health Protocols

Joel Embiid is one of the best players in the league and he is instrumental to the success of the Philadelphia 76ers, especially when you consider what is happening with Ben Simmons. The team needs someone to pick up the slack, and Embiid has been doing a very good job of it. Unfortunately, this extra burden has led to some injury issues, and despite his best efforts, they are starting to get the better of him.

For instance, Embiid was going to take tonight off against the New York Knicks. He was looking to get some rest considering the team was playing on back-to-back nights. Now, however, that rest will be extended as Embiid is now in health and safety protocols.

As Shams Charania reports, Embiid will now miss at least 10 days of action, however, he has the opportunity to return if he can log two straight negative COVID-19 tests. This news comes at an interesting time when you consider how staff across the league are now getting booster shots for the COVID vaccine. Players were supposed to get a booster this week, although Embiid will now have t wait.

It remains to be seen how long Embiid will be out of commission for, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates.

Russell Wilson Reveals He’s Back With Impressive Hype Video

Just a few weeks ago, Russell Wilson suffered a finger injury that left him on IR. This kept him out of the Seahawks lineup for a few weeks while Geno Smith took over. During that time, the Seahawks went on a losing streak and now, the Seahawks are struggling to stay afloat in a stacked NFC West Division.

Fans have been hoping for some good news on the Wilson front, and last week, they got some as it was revealed that Wilson had the pin taken out of his finger. Today, Wilson delivered some extra good news via a hype video on Twitter, which can be found below.

As you can see, the video includes some dramatic music and some b-roll of Wilson dealing with the aftermath of his injury. There are also clips of him in Lambeau Field, which is essentially a confirmation that he will be back this weekend when his Seahawks take on the Packers who will presumably have Aaron Rodgers back. Wilson also wrote “It’s time” as a caption for the video, which is the cherry on top for those who may be wondering if he is really back.

Either way, this is great news for the Seahawks and their fanbase, who now have something to look forward to going into week 10.

Brother Of Man Killed At Astroworld Says Travis Scott’s Team Should Be Held Accountable For Festival Tragedy

Yesterday, People published a story identifying 27-year-old Mirza Danish Baig as one of the eight people who were killed Friday night, during Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas.

Baig and his fiancé were in attendance on Friday night when crowds began stampeding towards the stage on which Scott was performing, causing mass mayhem and casualties, and according to People, Baig died trying to save his fiancé.

Alex Bierens de Haan/Getty Images

“He managed to get it to where she was able to get out,” Baig’s brother, Ammar, told People. “Somehow, the ambulance managed to get to her and then, by the time they got to my brother, they tried resuscitating him. And they said that before they got to the hospital, he couldn’t make it.”

Ammar Baig, 29, also spoke with KHOU, a Houston-based news station, and said he believes everyone from Travis Scott to the festival’s promoters should be held responsible for their parts in this unthinkable tragedy.

“We lost our brother, we’re grieving for all the families that lost their loved ones,” Ammar told news cameras. “In this horrendous event, people that took part in this event, Travis Scott’s team, the NRG team, everybody who was associated with this should be held accountable for the lives that were lost.”

In the three days since the tragic events that took place at Astroworld, accountability has been the dominant narrative. Scott issued written and video apologies, while the festival’s promoter, Live Nation, issued a statement, expressing their condolences. Scott and Live Nation have been named in multiple lawsuits (Drake, who was brought out as a guest performer during Scott’s set Friday night, was also named in a lawsuit) and are certain to be named in many more in the days and weeks to come.

What happens from here is obviously yet to be seen. With Scott and Live Nation sharing history of dangerous concert environments, all eyes have been firmly glued on both parties. Scott and other Astroworld performers, including Roddy Ricch, have stated their intentions to provide financial assistance to the families of the eight people killed Friday night, but there are sure to be severe legal ramifications for the lives lost, and the hundreds of people who were injured during Scott’s set.

Stay updated on what’s happening in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy here.

Candace Owens Revisits Kanye Dispute: “Outright Lied To The World”

Right-wing political pundit Candace Owens and Kanye West have a well-documented history dating back to 2018. Their up-and-down friendship has reached a new low, as Owens made some recent remarks about West’s dishonest tendencies.

While responding to a tweet about Kanye’s disingenuous approach to a Soulja Boy feature verse, Candace explained this is not new behavior, citing his two-faced behavior about their miscommunication three years ago: “Tbh he’s done this to a lot of people. Privately it’s one thing and then publicly it’s another. Feel like he’s hurt a lot people who have respected and looked up to him but never had to say sorry because he’s Ye. As an artist I respect him but as a man? Idk.”

Owens was specifically referencing when Kanye showed admiration for “the way Candace Owen thinks” in a 2018 tweet, only to allegedly backstab her months later. After praising Owens, the two linked up to build a relationship, as Owens main political goal was to draw Black people away from the Democratic Party.

Kanye appeared to be on board with this campaign, which Owens referred to as “Blexit.” But, when Owens began to roll out merchandise for this campaign, citing West as someone who helped design T-shirts, Kanye backtracked. He tweeted that she falsely credited the “Blexit” design to him when he had only referred her to a designer he knew: “I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.”

Kanye later distanced himself from politics, an event that ostracized Owens. After this fallout, the duo had appeared to be back on good terms with Kanye praising a book release of her’s, and her vouching for Twitter to end Kanye’s momentary suspension.

But now, Owens’ and West’s relationship in back in the gutter, as she rattled off several tweets accusing Kanye about lying about the Blexit debacle. While she was not specific about what Kanye lied about, she revealed she was very hurt by his actions: “I had national political exposure at the time but his lie caused international headlines claiming I was a “liar” who used him. Every person on my team and one person on his told me to drop the receipts but I didn’t. I was too shocked and hurt.”

Check out Candace Owens’ entire rant below.

Summer Walker’s “Still Over It” Gets Big Love From Kelly Rowland On Instagram

Last weekend, Summer Walker shared her highly anticipated sophomore album, Still Over It. The 20-track project includes appearances from Cardi B, SZA, JT, Lil Durk, Ciara, and many more, and it’s rumoured that it could become the highest-selling female R&B album since Beyoncé dropped off Lemonade.

Now that fans have had some time to digest the new music, reviews have been coming in from every corner of the internet. Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland even hopped on Instagram to praise Walker’s work. In a clip that’s since been uploaded to The Shade Room, the mother of two can be seen listening to “4th Baby Mama,” the project’s second last track.

“I wanna start with your mama, she should’ve whooped your ass/Know you ain’t shit, but she don’t care ’cause you lit/Payin’ for trips, cars, bags (Bags), and bought the crib (Crib)/But she ain’t never call you out ’cause she like the way that she live,” Walker sings at the top of the track, throwing shade at her baby daddy, London On Da Track.

Rowland was clearly taken aback by Walker’s lyrics. “Get it mama,” she wrote on top of the clip before saying, “She said, ‘I wanna start with your mama, she should’ve whopped your ass.’ Just… Let me go see what Titan’s doing, hold on.” The Think Like A Man actresses’ son may only be 7, but the “Playing Games” singer already has her keeping a close eye on him to ensure he doesn’t do any women dirty in the future.

Are you also loving “Still Over It”? Share the track you can’t stop listening to in the comments below.
