Fabolous, Dave East, & Snoop Dogg Want To “Make Some Money”

In the world of hip-hop (and the world in general, really) 50-year-old Snoop Dogg is known as something of an icon, and when you listen to his latest project, The Algorithm, you’ll see why.

The 25-track long release sees the “Bitch Please” hitmaker team up with the likes of Jadakiss, Wiz Khalifa, Mary J. Blige, Benny The Butcher, Fabolous, Dave East, and more. The California native linked up with the last two artists on “Make Some Money,” which is arguably one of the standout tracks on Snoop’s compilation album.

Prior to the release of The Algorithm, Snoop revealed that he wouldn’t be on every song included on the tracklist. Some super fans of the rapper were disappointed, but the medley of unique and talented voices works beautifully and proves that the father of four has some pretty legendary connections within the industry.

Have you listened to “Make Some Money” yet? If yes, don’t hesitate to share your favourite lyrics in the comment section.

Isaiah Rashad Adds 4 New Bonus Tracks To “The House Is Burning [Homies Begged]”

As TDE’s Tennessee star Isaiah Rashad followed up his critically-acclaimed record, The House Is Burning, with a sold out nationwide tour, the “Find A Topic” rapper was met with fans begging for more new music. Rashad, who took five years between The Sun’s Tirade and The House Is Burning, is not one to drop new music right after a release, but apparently he made an exception.

Taking to Instagram, Rashad announced that he was adding a couple tracks to THIB.

“AFTER A SOLDOUT TOUR AND MEET N GREETS FULL OF YALL SAYING DROP THIS & DROP THAT,” he said. “HOW BOUT A FEW LOOSIES FOR THE PPL THAT SUPPORT ME THE MOST..”

Vinny Nolan

Those loosies were tacked onto the end of THIB, and were packaged as a direct response to everybody who asked for new music in a new edition of the album called The House Is Burning [homies begged].

The House Is Burning [homies begged] is a welcome addition to an already-prolific record and, along with features from Project Pat, Juicy J, Young Nudy, Deante’ Hitchcock and UMI, showcases Rashad’s singular ability to make songs that feel relaxed and raging, introspective and ecstatic.

Kodak Black Claims That Jackboy Is Taking Him & Sniper Gang To Court

Over the past several months, fans have noticed several heated exchanges and shady posts on social media between longtime friends and former Sniper Gang collaborators Kodak Black and Jackboy. There’s no telling when or if the two Florida artists will be able to patch things up between them, but for now, it appears that their disagreements have transitioned to the courtroom.

In Instagram story screenshots captured by The Shade Room, Kodak Black claims that he wants to squash his beef with Jackboy and do a collaborative EP together, but then he shares a censored screenshot of court documents that name the “Don’t Force My Hand” rapper as the plaintiff in a lawsuit against Sniper Gang, LLC.

“I WANNA DO AN EP WIT MY LIL BRA & GET SOME MO MONEY OUT THESE FOLKS,” Kodak Black said in his Instagram rant. “YOU CAN STILL BE WHO YOU THINK YOU IS NOBODY TRYNA BELITTLE YOU I UNDERSTAND THE MONEY GOT TO YOUR HEAD AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOU OUTGREW YO POSITION OF BEING MY HOMIE NOW BUT WE CAN STILL GET MONEY WITHOUT YOU BEING ROUND ME EVERYDAY! THIS IS WHAT MADE YOU, WHY TURN YOUR BACK FROM IT ???? IT AIN’T LIKE THIS CONCEPT WASN’T WORKING.”

Alongside the screenshot of the court complaint, Kodak continued, saying, “MY NIGGA PUT DA COURTS IN OUR BUSINESS BUT TRYNA FLIP SCRIPT ON ME LIKE I’M TRIPPING …. IT AIN’T TOO LATE I’LL FORGIVE YOU FOR EVERYTHING JUST KILL ALL THIS SUCKA SHIT & LET’S GET THIS MONEY ! KUZ THIS AIN’T THE LOOK .. I MISS YO ASS BOY.”

After seeing The Shade Room post Kodak Black’s Instagram story, Jackboy hopped in the comments saying, “This so [blue baseball cap emoji] dude going crazy 4real I thought he said I owe him not he owe me.”

It appears the 1804 Records artist had more to say about the situation because he then took to his Instagram story to fully respond to Kodak and encourage his former labelmate to show the full, uncensored version of the court document. “Nigga You [blue baseball cap emoji]  Dats Why I’m Not Tryna Hang Show Da Whole Paper You suing Me & I’m On Da Defense…” Jackboy says. “chill out with the fake posting shit. I’m not tryna show da real you & how we gone do a ep and you tryna block my motion … it’s not about the money, it’s the principle. Loyalty Out Value Everything.”

London On Da Track Says He’s “Grateful” For The Success Of Summer Walker’s “Still Over It”

Summer Walker and London on da Track have never been the type to shy away from feuding in public, but the former lovers and current co-parents also have a tendency to sing one another’s praises in the spotlight as well. Following the release of Walker’s sophomore album, Still Over It, the record producer is praising his “4th Baby Mama” heavily.

“I’m grateful,” London captioned a recently posted photo dump. “To all my kids imma continue to go hard for y’all. I’m also extending congratulations to Summer for breaking records..I’m honored to have been apart of it…Looking forward to stepping into Gods next chapter.. Slatty #STILLOVERIT.”

Along with a photo of Walker holding their baby, the Over It executive producer also shared screenshots of some tweets that highlight his and his exes recent success. According to the post, London made it to the #3 spot on the Hot 100 Producers chart and the “Insane” singer earned her first week at #1 on the Hot 100 Songwriters chart, coming in ahead of Adele, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, and even her baby daddy.

The Atlanta native’s post also mentioned that the 25-year-old singer managed to beat the record set by Beyoncé’s Lemonade from over five years ago with a streaming debut of 201 million. Still Over It marks Walker’s first ever #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, so the mother of one has plenty to celebrate.

London’s kind words come as a surprise to some, especially after hearing the way that the songstress so publicly aired him out on her project – particularly with the lyrics, “I wanna start with your mama/She should’ve whooped your ass.” If his post is any indication, it seem that he and his baby mama may be on good terms; for now, anyway.

Earl Sweatshirt Gets Back To His Roots On “2010”

In the six years since Earl Sweatshirt released I Don’t Like Shit I Don’t Go Outside, the now 27-year-old has extensively experimented with his sound. 2018’s Some Rap Songs saw Earl slow down, and create an avante-garde record that opened the doors for 2019’s Feet Of Clay.

With a handful of recent features and Alchemist’s claims that Sweatshirt’s new project is “incredible,” the buzz surrounding a potential Earl drop has been building, and today, the “Chum” rapper blessed us with a new single, “2010.”

Ryosuke Tanzawa

Over shimmering Black Noi$e production, Earl gets all the way back to his roots, and taps into a flow reminiscent of his 2014/2015 raps. “2010” is Sweatshirt at his best, “rapping vivid introspections on his humble beginnings and reflecting on his trajectory of success to date,” and this record is a true preview of whatever he drops next, longtime Earl fans should be very, very excited.

Had a full plate, you ain’t wanna split it
Tell it to you straight, you ain’t wanna listen

Druski Shares Why He’s So Terrified Of Drake’s Bodyguard

Whenever he steps out of his multi-million-dollar mansion in Toronto’s exclusive Bridle Path neighborhood, Drake employs the creme of the crop when it comes to his security. He takes no chances when he’s in public and over the years, we’ve seen him safely stationed behind some of the most destructive-looking big men on the planet. This week, he partied it up with Future for the rapper’s birthday and appeared alongside a mountain of a man, who scared the living hell out of comedian Druski.

Anybody in their right mind would be spooked to go up against this man in a fistfight, and Druski made sure to stay on the man’s good side when he spotted him around Drake. The comedian took to his Instagram Stories and explained why he’s so terrified of Drake’s bodyguard.

“I ain’t gon’ lie to y’all, there was a part where I knew Drake’s security was thrown off. I looked at him and I tried to whisper to him because I’m trying to understand what the f*ck, know what I’m sayin’. I said, ‘You good, man?’ And that n***a looked at me and said ‘Ruff!!’,” said Druski, imitating the man’s bark.

He went on to share multiple videos of Drake’s security, including one when he intensely moves his arms in a circular motion. Druski wrote, “Drake’s security will squeeze your head like a f*cking grape.”

In another video, Drake’s bodyguard seemingly evolves to a new form, going “super Saiyan” in front of the entire club unexpectedly.

It’s no surprise what Druski would be scared of this dude. He’s pretty intense, and is probably the right man to protect Drake.

The Chopstars Transform “Certified Lover Boy” Into “Certified Purple Boy”

When Drake released Certified Lover Boy, the first place he went was Houston, Texas.

Drizzy’s H-Town connection runs deep and dates all the way back to the So Far Gone days. From “Houstatlantavegas” to his proclamation that “H-Town my second home like I”m James Harden,” the Toronto rapper’s love for Houston has always been apparent, and has always been reciprocated.

Cardi B Contributes New Song, “Bet It” To The Netflix “Bruised” Soundtrack

Cardi B may not have released much music in 2021, but she’s had a busy year nonetheless. The 29-year-old gave birth to her and Offset’s second child just a few months ago, stole the show at every Paris Fashion Week event she attended, and now, she’s back with a solo track created specially for Halle Berry’s newly released Netflix film, Bruised.

“Cardi, you came through in a big way. We had some issues with our song, we had to get certain rights to use it,” the Catwoman actress told Billboard. “Cardi, being so of her word, didn’t say, ‘Oh, it can’t happen.’ She went the extra mile and you made sure that we got the rights to use the record. I can say, honestly, not everybody would have done that, and I so respect you. You said yes, and you stood by your word.”

Bruised arrived on Netflix on November 17th and also features songs from artists like Flo Milli, Saweetie, City Girls, Young M.A., and more. The film tells the story of a disgraced MMA fighter who finds herself re-entering the cage when she connects with the son she previously gave up as an infant.

Check out the trailer for the new movie above, and stream Cardi B’s latest release, “Bet It” below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Ain’t no half-steppin’, all I do is break records

Now I play chess so a bitch can’t check her

Made a lot of hell and it’s still getting hectic

And my life is a movie, only Cardi could direct it

Fetty Wap Speaks Out On Facing Life In Prison: “If It Ain’t Life, It Ain’t Forever”

New Jersey-based rapper Fetty Wap is currently in a very tough spot. A few weeks ago, Fetty was set to perform new songs from his album The Butterfly Effect at Rolling Loud in New York City, but he was arrested by the feds upon his arrival at the stadium. He was ultimately charged with dealing heroin, fentanyl, and other drugs, as well as carrying and using firearms. Fetty was released on a $500K bond, and he faces life in prison if he’s convicted to the fullest extent of the law.

For the first time since his arrest, Fetty has broken his silence, speaking about the potential of spending the rest of his life behind bars in a new post on Instagram.

“Loyalty can be both a great trait and a deadly one… choose wisely with who you stand with but never change what you stand for Never bend Never Fold,” wrote the rapper. “Head up like a nose bleed #ImOnBorrowedTime if it ain’t life it ain’t forever I’ll be back better wiser and smarter.”

From the sounds of it, Fetty expects to spend some time in prison for his alleged crimes. But as he says, if it’s not life, it’s not forever. He’s already got his eyes glued on his return, and he’s thinking positively for when this situation fades away.

What do you think of Fetty’s message? We will continue to keep you up-to-date on his legal case.
