Marilyn Manson Dropped From Best Rap Song Grammy Nomination For Kanye West’s “Jail”

Marilyn Manson has been stripped of a 2022 Grammy nomination by the Recording Academy after not being listed as a songwriter for Kanye West’s “Jail” on the most updated version of Donda. The track is up for the award of Best Rap Song.

The Academy notes that the decision was not made in response to backlash from Manson’s allegations of physical abuse and trafficking leveled by actresses Esmé Bianco and Evan Rachel Wood. Manson could still take home a Grammy for his contributions to the Donda track “Jail Pt. 2,” as the project as a whole is nominated for Album of the Year.

In response to the backlash of Manson’s nomination, Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said that the artist’s disturbing past does not disqualify him from consideration.

“We won’t restrict the people who can submit their material for consideration,” he said in a statement according to The Wrap. “We won’t look back at people’s history, we won’t look at their criminal record, we won’t look at anything other than the legality within our rules of, is this recording for this work eligible based on date and other criteria. If it is, they can submit for consideration.”

He continued: “What we will control is our stages, our shows, our events, our red carpets. We’ll take a look at anyone who is asking to be a part of that, asking to be in attendance, and we’ll make our decisions at that point. But we’re not going to be in the business of restricting people from submitting their work for our voters to decide on.”

YoungBoy Never Broke Again Gets Personal On New Songs “Heart & Soul” & “Alligator Walk”

The two new songs from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, which were uploaded to his YouTube account on Thursday night, show the polar extremes that the 22-year-old rap superstar operates on. On “Heart & Soul,” the Baton Rouge native opens up about his return from a six-month stint in jail, telling himself that he needs to smarten up so he can be there for all of his kids. On “Alligator Walk,” he gets his fans hyped up with a booming record that sounds prepped for the club.

Proving his versatility once again, YoungBoy’s double release starts off with a video filmed inside of his Utah home as he remains on house arrest, and you can hear the pain in his voice as he sings about blaming himself for all of the obstacles he had to overcome this year. “Alligator Walk” will have you feeling a whole other set of emotions, coming in with fire as YoungBoy marks his return on this one, impacting the streets and the clubs with a harder vibe.

Listen to his two new records below, and stay tuned for the rapper’s upcoming joint project with Birdman dropping soon.

Quotable Lyrics:

Went to jail, came home, time passed, went back again
All the pain I felt inside myself, thought it would never end
I just thought I would blame myself, can’t even blame my friends
I was criticizing myself like you ain’t never gon’ win
Kentrell, you got to man up, you done had all these kids
I’m like, Kentrell you got to stand up, it’s your time, I see it

50 Cent Posts & Deletes Apology To Madonna For Trolling Her Scandalous Thirst Trap

If you follow 50 Cent on Instagram, you know that the rapper has no trouble using the platform to speak his mind, even if some of his comments get him in trouble from time to time. Most recently, Fif is facing some heat following the comments he made about “Like A Virgin” singer Madonna’s unmissable thirst traps.

The 63-year-old dropped off the carousel of sultry snapshots on November 25th, revealing in the caption that the app had initially deleted them due to a small part of her nipple being exposed. “It is still astounding to me that we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman’s body to be shown except a nipple,” she wrote beneath the edited re-post.

While many of the pictures show Madonna laying around wearing black lingerie, one of them gave followers an up close and personal look at her behind, scantily clad and poking out from beneath the bed. The “I Get Money” recording artist shared the photo in question to his own page, writing, “Yo this is the funniest shit LOL.”

“That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do ‘Like A Virgin’ at 63. She shot out, if she don’t get her old ass up. LMFAO,” he continued. A few days later, the “Material Girl” clapped back at 50, calling him out for his hateful comments. “I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media. The least elevated choice you could make as an artist and an adult.”

Following Madonna’s response, the New York-born star logged back into IG to share his thoughts. “I must have hurt Madonna’s feelings,” he told his followers on December 2nd. “She went and dug up a old MTV, TRL photo from ‘03. Ok I’m sorry I did not intend to hurt your feelings. I don’t benefit from this in [any way], I said what I thought when I saw the picture because of where I had seen it before. I hope you accept my apology.”

The rapper’s Instagram shows that the apology post has since been taken down, but not before The Shade Room grabbed some screenshots. Check them out below.

Quotable Lyrics

V for vector, F for file
If you rearrange file, what that give you? Yeah, wow
Wish I could give you that now
All on the side of you soul/sole in your signature handstyle
Virgil forever, we visit the man child
A tailor sits down to make his own suit from the tie to his boots
The thread is breath and the fabric is the youth
Make his own ties they only made us a noose
On black, yeah
The cuff is all of us and the buttons are the truth
Even his caps are the facts
My nigga, can you believe that?

Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Timothée Chalamet & More Share Uplifting Texts From Virgil Abloh

NBA YoungBoy On If He Listens To Lil Baby, Polo G, 21 Savage, & More: “F*ck No”

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is very much a lone wolf. While he operates his Never Broke Again label with artists including Quando Rondo, NoCap, Rjae, P Yungin, and more, the Baton Rouge-raised rapper has proven over the years that he enjoys his alone time, usually coming through with featureless albums and mixtapes. When he does choose to collaborate with somebody, it’s generally with an artist that’s signed to him.

Given his troubling legal situation over the last few years, the public hasn’t gotten too many chances to hear from YoungBoy in official interviews, so when the 22-year-old music superstar spoke for hours in a Clubhouse room with DJ Akademiks this week, the moment was very newsworthy. We’ve covered a few angles from their conversation already and now, we’re focusing on the answers YoungBoy provided when he was asked if he listens to other current rappers, including Polo G, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, and Yungeen Ace.

Unsurprisingly, YoungBoy answered that, no, he doesn’t listen to them.

“You listen to Polo G?” asked DJ Akademiks.

“Fuck no,” replied YoungBoy. “You talkin’ crazy, you playin’.”

“Man, I’m just asking, man,” innocently said Ak before leading into his next question. “Like, [21] Savage. Savage is my n***a. He dope.”

“Fuck no!” said YoungBoy.

“What about Yungeen Ace?” asked Ak.

After giving that one some thought, he went on to answer the exact same thing, uttering, “Fuck no. Shit, no.”

“Baby?” questioned Ak, referring to Lil Baby.

“No,” calmly responded YB.

It seems as though YoungBoy Never Broke Again might only listen to his own music. Do you think his sound is so unique because he doesn’t listen to anybody else?

Travis Scott Hires Former Donald Trump Attorney For Astroworld Lawsuits

Having been named in over 250 lawsuits following the tragedy that took place at Astroworld, Travis Scott has hired attorney Daniel Petrocelli to lead his defense. Petrocelli has worked on several high-profile cases including defending former President Donald Trump in 2016 regarding Trump University real estate seminars.

Petrocelli will be joined by Steve Brody and Sabrina Strong, two partners from law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where Petrocelli serves as the head of litigation.

Petrocelli gained nationwide recognition in 1997 after winning a wrongful death civil suit against O. J. Simpson while representing the father of murder victim Ron Goldman.

Over 200 of the Astroworld victims are being represented by veteran attorney Ben Crump who worked with the families of Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, and Ahmaud Arbery as well as many victims of the Flint water crisis.

“If Travis Scott is accountable, he absolutely should be held accountable,” Crump said in November. “But don’t forget that Live Nation does these every day, all day, (in) every part of the world. So if we want the change to make sure people are going to be safe, we got to be talking to the person who is the parent corporation, the industry leader. That’s the only way you get change.”

A new fighter has entered the ring to join Gunna, Wheezy, and Future. Roddy Ricch has stepped up to the challenge, dropping a new verse on the official remix to “Too Easy” ahead of the release of his own studio album this month, as well as Young Wunna’s upcoming Drip Season 4.

Following the initial success of “Too Easy,” which has picked up over 40 million streams on Spotify, Roddy Ricch has jumped onto the remix, kicking things off with some flex-worthy bars about putting wings on his Rolls-Royce and freezing from all of his jewelry.

With the remix out now, fans are flooding Gunna’s comments and asking for the album, which still has the possibility of dropping before the new year. Each week without it hints that DS4 could only be arriving in 2022, though.

Check out the “Too Easy” remix below and let us know what you think.
