Ari Lennox Says She’s ‘Not OK’ After The ‘Racism And Discrimination’ She Experienced In Amsterdam

What was supposed to be a regular trip to Amsterdam took a turn for the worst when Ari Lennox was arrested after an incident at the city’s Schiphol Airport. The singer claimed she was detained “for reacting to a woman racially profiling me” and she shared more details about the matter as it unfolded in a string of posts on Twitter. According to Reuters, Dutch military police accused Lennox of public intoxication and being aggressive to a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines official. “Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down,” a spokesperson said. “That’s why she had to be taken into custody.”

A few days after the incident, Lennox returned to Twitter with an update. “Hey loves I’m safe,” she wrote in a tweet. “Thank you so much for your prayers and love.” Today she shared additional thoughts on her arrest, which were not as comforting. “My only regret is my reaction to the racism and discrimination I experienced,” she wrote in a tweet. “I would like to explain what happened to me but KLM has made it clear that they never cared to hear it from jump. It’s painful being silenced like this. It’s painful what I went through. I’m not ok.”

This comes after she and Smino joined Khalid for their new collaboration, “Scenic Drive.”

J.I. Drops Off “Murda”

J.I. has been quietly dropping heat throughout the year. After an incredibly productive year in 2020, despite the pandemic, the rapper has slowly let off a few records since the top of 2021. He closed out last year with Hood Krisis Vol. 3, a follow-up to Welcome To GStarr Vol. 1. His latest singles have offered a sense of maturity from the Brooklynite, which hopefully is what informs his next body of work.

On Friday, the rapper let off a brand new single titled, “Murda.” His penchant for melodies takes the lead over glitchy yet opulent production. J.I. revs up as he details dealing with haters and the enemies that continue to test him. It’s another hit for J.I. as we enter the holiday season. Either he drops something new before the year ends or he’s preparing to kick off 2022 with some heat.

Quotable Lyrics
Keep a choppa by my side just like I’m Superman
We not gon’ let him rock, if on this side, we might just shoot the man
Keep a gun with loaded clips, test me, you a stupid man
Try to tell me I ain’t shit, she must forgot ’bout who I am

Ari Lennox On Her Amsterdam Arrest: “It’s Painful What I Went Through, I’m Not Ok”

Ari Lennox is opening up about her recent arrest at Schiphol Airport, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. “My only regret is my reaction to the racism and discrimination I experienced,” the “Pressure” singer tweeted late on Friday, December 3rd.

“I would like to explain what happened to me but KLM has made it clear that they never cared to hear it from the jump. It’s painful being silenced like this. It’s painful what I went through. I’m not ok,” she confessed, prompting hundreds of people to send an outpouring of support to the 30-year-old.

At the time of the incident, Lennox live tweeted her experience. “Racism,” she captioned a photo of an airport employee talking to what looks like other staff members, taken from several feet away. “Wow Amsterdam I’m so horrified. I was so happy to travel and this evil woman… I’ve never experienced racism so blatant.”

After several other concerning posts, the Washington, D.C. native wrote, “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.” Following Lennox’s claims, the Dutch airline company shared their side of the story, which accuses the R&B vocalist of disturbing public order and being drunk in public.

On December 2nd, the “Unloyal” collaborator confirmed to her followers that she was “safe,” thanking them for all the prayers and love they’ve been throwing at her.

In lighter news, Lennox has the release of her new song with Khalid and Smino, “Sceneic Drive,” to celebrate – make sure to stream it here if you haven’t already.

NBA YoungBoy Trolls 21 Savage During His Clubhouse Chat

YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been in his fair share of drama since his late-October release from prison. Whether it be thirsting over Doja Cat or co-signing 6ix9ine, YoungBoy has had a lot to say lately.

After responding “f**k no” when asked if he listened to rappers like Polo G, Lil Baby and 21 Savage by DJ Akademiks on a recent Clubhouse call, YB felt it necessary to emphasize his disdain for 21 Savage on one of his Clubhouse calls. During 21’s call, YoungBoy randomly joined and appeared to issue a threat, jokingly, at Savage: “B*tch, we steppin on anything that come down here, b*tch ass n***.”

Everyone in the chat began laughing, likely because of how random the remark was. 21 was bewildered, shrugging off YB by questioning what his issue was, considering he just had a successful album: “My n***a just went triple platinum.”

In a separate Clubhouse call, YoungBoy explained his reasoning behind the comment, saying he was just messing with 21 because he knows Savage doesn’t like him: “I’m so tore up. I just know a n***a don’t like me, you hear me? I just know a n***a don’t like me, I don’t give no f**ks. I don’t even want no problems but to aggravate the fuck out of you until you act like you want problems.”

It seems that YoungBoy and 21 Savage share animosity for each other, and YB is aiming to ignite a beef. Hopefully, this is just harmless antics, as we’d hate to see two of hip-hop’s most beloved artists beefing.

Westside Gunn Shows Off Humongous Diamond Bracelet: “Biggest In The Game”

Griselda Records founder and rapper Westside Gunn continues to rep his love for fashion and art with his latest purchase. The rapper has long been known to be a fashion connoisseur and is always making moves to elevate his passion, such as when he opened his own art gallery in his hometown of Buffalo, New York.

This time, the rapper invested in an almost comically-large, flashy diamond bracelet, featuring a slab with glittering diamonds held together by enormous chains. Westside shared a photo of the bracelet to social media, suggesting that the new bling cost a total of $500,000 and claiming that it’s the “biggest bracelet in the game by the way.”

Fans were quick to troll Westside. One commenter compared the bracelet to a padlock, another a phone charger, and another Ben 10’s omnitrix. “n**** got an iced out omnitrix,” the fan wrote

Westside has a history of letting it be known to haters that they don’t bother him. The rapper called out negative comments on Twitter recently, getting into it with online trolls.

“Y’all been talking about me Alot in the blogs lately it’s a shame y’all don’t do that when I drop classic after classic, just dropped a flawless double album 33songs,” Gunn wrote. “Guess negativity is the only thing that matters not the Culture.”

Replying to a hater who clowned him for his jewelry, the rapper responded, “Again when I give to the kids NOTHING, when I give to Needy Families NOTHING, soon as I say my chain cost more than Somebody every wanna put my D… in they mouth, y’all in a illusion, broke MFs trynna talk down on a rich one, only on the internet, suckas talk down on a Gangsta.”

However others might think of his latest cop, the rapper himself seemed super content with his new purchase and that alone may be enough. “Don’t front, don’t stunt, act like you seen a bracelet bigger, cuz I know you’re lyin,” Westside said.

Khalid, Ari Lennox & Smino Set A Sensual Vibe On “Scenic Drive”

R&B sensation Khalid just dropped off Scenic Drive (The Tape), and if you’ve streamed already, then you know that it’s full of romantic, sticky sweet songs that will be in constant rotation this winter. One of our favourites is the album’s title track, which sees the 23-year-old link up with Ari Lennox and Smino.

Khalid takes the first verse, singing about how time flies by when he’s with the person who’s caught his interest, then Ari Lennox’s gorgeous voice teases us with fiery lines like “Body drippin’ like a spring when I’m with you / We’re electricity, don’t need no fuse.” Last, but certainly not least, is Smino, who lets us know he’s never been one to chase a woman, and that it doesn’t hurt him to know that some other dudes might’ve come before him.

Elsewhere on his new release, Khalid taps Alicia Keys, 6LACK, Lucky Daye, Quin, JID, Kiana Ledé, and Majid Jordan to lend their talents – talk about a dream collab list. If you need something mellow to listen to the next time you’re on a scenic drive of your own, this is it.

Who has the best bars on “Scenic Drive”? Let us know below.

Quotable Lyrics:

We’ll be chasin’ a high, it feels amazin’ (It feels amazin’)
You in my ride, we were just blazin’
Under the lights, straight to the ceilin’
Out on my drive, give me a feelin’

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Bizzy Bone Says His ‘Verzuz’ Fight With Three 6 Mafia Is Just A Part Of Hip-Hop

The highlight of Thursday night’s Verzuz battle between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia, unfortunately, had nothing to do with the music that was played. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Bizzy Bone and Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J got into an argument on stage that nearly led to a brawl. After one of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s performances, Bizzy Bone said to his opponents, “You ugly motherf*ckers ain’t finna be mockin’ me while I’m on stage.” Juicy J told him to “shut the f*ck up,” which caused Bizzy to throw a water bottle at Juicy.

Now, nearly two days after the incident, Bizzy Bone spoke out about the fight and he was fairly chill about the whole scrape. “I just think, you know, it’s pretty self-explanatory how it went down,” he said during an interview with TMZ. “I can’t even say it on TMZ, you know, they’d have to bleep it out.” He continued, “Yeah, it ain’t really about bothering me. It’s just about class, it’s just about being a grown man and being in the heat of the moment and sh*t like that. Everybody pretty much understood what it was. From what everybody was telling me, they was like, ‘You really ain’t do no wrong.’ But, you know, it is what it is man, it’s hip-hop, people fight.”

Bizzy also said that Swizz Beatz, who co-founded Verzuz along with Timbaland, was not upset with him. “Swizz was like ‘it’s hip-hop, I ain’t tripping,’ and everybody was acting like he was saying something, he wasn’t talking about us,” he said. “We do our own prayers, we ain’t have no problem with no money, we ain’t ask for no special cups or none of that, we street dudes. He wasn’t talking about us, but of course, he’s being politically correct and I dig that and I appreciate that about him.”

Fivio Foreign Fails To Make A Shot At Brooklyn Nets Game: “Imma Just Stick To Rappin”

Fivio Foreign is one of New York’s most celebrated artists currently. As he prepares for is upcoming album The Bible and rides the wave of momentum he set in motion with his “Off The Grid” verse on Kanye West’s Donda, Fivio is leading the Brooklyn drill rap surge.

During this successful era of his life, Fivio was invited to perform at halftime of the Brooklyn Nets basketball game last night in his hometown. Joined by fellow Brooklyn rap legend Lil Kim, Fivio played a few songs for the Nets fans as they faced the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Before the game started, however, Fivio was feeling the basketball spirit during his sound check. He decided to put up a few shots on the court, which likely did not pan out the way he had hoped. He posted two videos to Instagram, where he air-balled both shots he took, saying it was harder than it looked: “Imma Juss sticc to rappin.. Sh*t look a lil easier on TV.”

His rap peers like Polo G and Young MA hopped in the comment section to laugh at him, while famed NBA trainer Lethal Shooter showed encouragement: “Few changes and it’s buckets.”

Lethal Shooter recently trained Drake, so perhaps Fivio could be the next to hit the lab with the basketball influencer. He certainly needs somebody to help him out with his shot, because he failed to even hit the rim in his two tries.

Jennifer & James Crumbley Arraigned For Manslaughter Following Michigan Mass Shooting

Following the identification of Ethan Crumbley as the Oxford High School shooter earlier this week, the 15-year-old boy’s parents have also been arrested after spending some time hiding out in a warehouse. Both Jennifer and James Crumbley have been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, maximum 15 years each – one for every student murdered by their son.

According to TMZ, Ethan’s parents were fully aware of their child’s dire mental health condition, but still proceeded to buy him a gun that he used to shoot up his school just days later. The article also notes that school officials were so concerned about Ethan’s behaviour that they had brought him and his parents in for a discussion, completely unaware that he had a gun in his backpack at the time.

The Crumbley’s were taken into custody following a tip informing authorities that the family’s SUV had been spotted in a warehouse parking lot. They are said to have appeared “very distressed” while being arrested, and the local police chief added he read their mood as “just very upset.”

Ethan and James reportedly purchased the 9-millimetre Sig Sauer the day after Thanksgiving. The 15-year-old shared a photo of him holding the weapon to his Instagram page, the caption reading, “Just got my new beauty today. SIG SAUER 9mm. Ask any questions and I will answer.”

An Oxford High teacher saw the troubled student searching up information about ammunition, but when she passed the news on to his mother, Jennifer seemed to be unconcerned, even texting her son, “LOL, I’m not mad at you. You have to learn to not get caught.” The following day he shot four of his classmates to death, and injured several others. RIP.

Check back in with HNHH later for more information on the Crumbley’s.
