Megan Thee Stallion’s Ex-BFF Kelsey Nicole Addresses Tory Lanez’ Lawyer’s Claims: “ALL Cap”

Can the truth just come out already??? For over a year, music fans have been hearing all about what happened between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez following a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in Summer 2020. We’ve heard different accounts from Megan, Tory, Kelsey Nicole (Megan’s former best friend, who was in the car with them at the time of the incident), and others. On Tuesday (December 14), it was announced that Tory will need to stand trial for allegedly shooting Megan multiple times in her feet following an appearance in court, where LAPD Detective Ryan Stogner confirmed previous reports that Tory shouted “Dance, bitch, dance” at Megan before shooting at her feet.

In addition to the troubling confirmation that Tory yelled at Megan to “dance, bitch” before firing the trigger, Tory’s defense lawyer Shawn Holley revealed that an “argument in the car” escalated the situation when it was revealed that Megan and Tory were in some sort of intimate relationship. Holley says that Kelsey Nicole, who was hanging with Tory and Megan at the time, had a romantic interest in Tory and when their relationship was revealed, she “got jealous” and claimed Megan “back-doored” her. Holley then said that Tory told police after the shooting, “I was just trying to protect my girl.”

Kelsey Nicole has officially offered her take on what was said in court on Tuesday, commenting on The Shade Room’s post and saying that Tory’s defense lawyer is lying.

“This is ALL cap,” she wrote in a comment.

She also responded to a commenter who asked why she hasn’t spoken out about the incident, adding, “I’m not worried about no NDA, this is real life Shit. NDA ain’t stopping anyone. Trust me my time to speak is coming, let’s let them get all their stories out. I’m the one with nothing to hide Or lie about. Difference between me and them. Celebrities will do and say whatever to save face.”

What do you think about Kelsey’s comments, and about Tory’s court hearing?

Stephen A. Smith Claims Steph Curry Is Surpassing LeBron’s Influence

LeBron James and Steph Curry have built a nice rivalry over the last half of a decade. As it stands, LeBron is the true icon of this generation, and while Steph has a ton of influence with his shooting, it is hard to deny the raw star power of LeBron James, who has pretty well dominated the NBA for 19 years.

While this may be the case, there are some people out there who believe that Curry is now the true face of this generation. Among them is none other than Stephen A. Smith, who made the case on First Take today that Curry is actually surpassing LeBron as the front and center figure of this generation of basketball.

“We’re not recognizing how [Steph Curry’s] transformed the game of basketball. … We talk about LeBron or Jordan, what about Jordan-Curry?!” Smith asked.

This take was then followed up with a rebuttal from JJ Redick, who has imposed his will on First Take over the last couple of weeks. Redick feels like LeBron is still the guy, especially since he has been lights out during the games he has actually played this year.

“When you talk about the face of a generation, you’re talking about a resume … [in] any statistical measure … LeBron James is ahead of Steph!” he said.

Of course, this is one of those debates that is subjective. You’re always going to go with who your favorite player is, and if you were watching First Take at home this morning, you probably felt very strongly about either take.

Let us know who you think is the face of this generation, in the comments below.

The 2021 CFDA Fashion Icon of the Year wore a custom spider Valentino dress, which was inspired by John Galliano’s S/S 1997 dress of a similar design. Her boyfriend also looked stylish and slick, rocking a cool black suit in celebration of the momentous occasion.

Popular movie review site Rotten Tomatoes has received a total of 67 reviews from critics at the time of publication, and is currently sitting at an impressive score of 99%. To put things into context, Holland’s other Spider-Man films, Homecoming and Far From Home earned scores of 92% and 90% respectively – both “certified fresh.”

As reported by Complex, countless outlets have also been sharing their early opinions of No Way Home. The Daily Beast declared it the “best Spidey movie by a mile” while Deadline said it feels like “a holiday gift.” Other comments from Variety refer to the Marvel movie as a “satisfying meta-adventure” and the Chicago Sun-Times dubbed it an “innovative new adventure.”

The finale to Holland’s trilogy will be in theatres for your viewing pleasure on December 17th. If you’re sad to see it come to an end, fear not! It was recently announced that another series of films starring the 25-year-old as Peter Parker is in the works – read more about that here.

Jeezy Details How He First Met Nas & Talks “My President” Collaboration

On the latest “The Bridge: 50 Years of Hip-Hop” podcast, Grammy-award-winning artist, Nas, and radio personality, Miss Info, sat down the Snowman, Jeezy for a very candid conversation. During the 40-minute episode, Jeezy talks about his time meeting East coast legend, Nas and how their relationship would come to be.

Getting a nod from Nas should be on every rapper’s bucket list, but for Jeezy, a nod was just the beginning. Applauded for both his grind and talent, the rap veteran could see Jeezy’s true potential. Reflecting back on their first link-up, Jeezy talks about his time in New York at Club 112 where he would have an unorthodox introduction to Nas. “I remember it like it was yesterday. I think it was like ’02 or ’03 and I got on about 20 diamond chains, a big Rolex watch, a Lexus GS 400 outside, and I’m in there poppin’ bottles. I go to the bathroom and the guy next to me in the stall is Nasty Nas. I’m like “Yo! I’ma be big!” Jeezy said. Boasting his plan to be another huge artist, he received a confirming nod from the man himself.

Flash forward to the 2008 Presidential Election, Jeezy and Nas would drop the unforgettable anthem, “My President.” The fourth single from his third studio album, Recession, the Tha Bizness produced track was recorded on the day Obama secured his Democratic nomination. “You sent me this legendary verse back. It was so legendary, my man Jay-Z hit me about a remix,” Jeezy laughed. Why not have two legends on one track? Jay-Z would hop on the remix and the rest is history. Though Jeezy and Nas created an iconic single that would garner worldwide attention and show off their dynamic compatibility, he admits that their relationship didn’t come easy. “I don’t think people realize how powerful words are and when you did Hip-Hop Is Dead, I thought you were talking about me,” Jeezy told the NY native. A reference to the 2006 album, the burgeoning artist felt some misdirected heat from the rap vet.

Burna Boy And Wizkid Demand Their Trophies On The Exuberant ‘B. d’Or’

Burna Boy and Wizkid are, at this point, probably indisputably the most prominent and recognizable Afro-fusion artists in the US. If you ask any music fan to name a Nigerian artist, the odds are pretty high that one of the two (or Davido) will be the first names mentioned. While Burna became the first Nigerian artist to headline Madison Square Garden, Wizkid’s “Essence” is widely regarded as one of the biggest songs of 2021. So, when the two decide to collaborate, it’s always special.

Picking up where they left off with their January collaboration “Ginger,” Burna and Wizkid reunite for the upbeat “B. d’Or,” which is named for the Ballon d’Or (“Golden Ball”) soccer trophy for extraordinary male players. Produced by P2J, the same name behind the dominant “Essence,” the track incorporates beatboxing within its propulsive, tropical sounds as the two artists compare themselves to past winners of the prestigious trophy like Lionel Messi, asserting that they’ve earned similar levels of recognition.

Wizkid and Burna are set to headline Afro Nation, the biggest afrobeats festival in the world, in Portugal next July along with Megan Thee Stallion, solidifying their claim as the biggest afrobeats artists in the world — and when there’s a trophy for that, you can bet they’ll be the ones taking it home.

JR Smith Celebrates A 4.0 GPA In His First College Semester

JR Smith has been on a new journey over the last few months as he is currently playing golf for North Carolina A&T University. The former NBA champion has participated in various tournaments so far, and he has also been taking a plethora of classes. Having been out of school for a couple of decades, Smith had to work hard to sustain his grades in the classroom, and throughout the semester, Smith has been chronicling his journey.

Today, Smith got some great news that certainly put a big smile on the face of all of his fans, as well as his professors and teammates. Smith officially achieved a 4.0 GPA in his first official semester at college, which is the best GPA you can get. A 4.0 GPA is the gold standard, and Smith worked extremely hard to achieve it.

Smith also posted a video about his latest win, and as you can see from the smile on his face, this means the world to him. There were many haters on the internet who were telling him that he couldn’t do it, but in the end, he prevailed and showed people that you can do anything, regardless of your age.

“I can’t even describe the feeling… especially when you don’t think you can do it… you always hear about your disabilities,” he said.

While some have tried to discredit this achievement based on the classes he’s taken, it’s important to note that it has been a long time since he’s been in the classroom. This is not an easy transition to make, and his focus on getting that 4.0 GPA speaks volumes to just how badly he wanted this for himself. You can’t help but be happy for the man.

Big Boi & André 3000 Tried To Sell Weed, Stopped After André Got Robbed

André 3000 and Big Boi have been around for decades so it’s wild that, this far into their careers, there are still so many untold stories from the inception of OutKast. During the latest episode of How To Roll, Big Boi, alongside Sleepy Brown, got into his personal smoking habits before telling an anecdote about himself and Three Stacks when they were younger. According to the legendary rapper, they tried to sell weed as a duo before André was robbed ten days into their stint, realizing that that life wasn’t meant for them.

Speaking about when he started smoking regularly, Big Boi recalled how, with Three Stacks, he tried to be a weed dealer.

“I didn’t start smoking-smoking until me and 3000 attempted to sell weed at school,” said Big Boi before Sleepy Brown interjected, saying this is one of the funniest stories he’s ever heard. “We sold weed for about ten days.”

“They sold weed to us!” added Sleepy Brown. “They were staying with us at the house.”

“What made us stop was Dre got robbed,” explained Big Boi. “They cut Dre in the hand with a knife and Dre vowed to never sell weed after that. That’s a fun fact, I don’t think we’ve ever told that one.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Big Boi revealed that André actually taught him how to roll, complimenting the creative genius on his precision.
