Tory Lanez Responds To Recent Megan Thee Stallion Court Case Reports

Since last year, many have been looking for answers in the case involving Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and the latter’s former best friend Kelsey Nicole. The story that everyone is familiar with so far is that Tory allegedly shot Megan in the foot during an argument that somehow involved Nicole. Today, Tory showed up in court for a preliminary hearing, where it was revealed that he will soon go to trial for the alleged crime of felony assault.

Perhaps the biggest tidbit of information came from LAPD Detective Ryan Stogner who claimed that Tory shouted “dance, bitch, dance” at Megan before shooting her. This information was then cross-examined by Tory’s own defense lawyer Shawn Holley, who has been working hard to present counter-evidence to the prosecution’s claims.

In fact, during the proceedings today, it was reported that Holley made the claim that Kelsey Nicole actually instigated the argument that led to the alleged shooting. He noted that Nicole was reportedly jealous of Meg’s relationship with Tory and that she ultimately escalated the entire situation. On Instagram, Nicole called this out for being a lie.

Following the reports of what went down in court, Tory was not too pleased as he ended up going on Twitter to air out some grievances with the media. Lanez noted that his lawyer spoke for 45 minutes and that only a small portion of what he said was actually brought to light. As you will read below, Tory wants the full truth to come to light, as soon as possible.

“NAH … I need someone to REPORT what was REALLY said in court today, 45 minutes of my lawyer stating contradictory evidence that proves my innocence should never come back as one false story forced to the media,” Lanez wrote.

In the Instagram post below, you can see one reporter’s perspective on what Holley was saying throughout the court session today. This is a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring you all of the latest updates and details.

Top 5 Sets At Rolling Loud California

This past weekend, thousands of people found their way to San Bernardino’s NOS Stadium in attendance of LA’s first Rolling Loud since the world opened back up. Each day was teeming with festival food and booth activities— an extensive accompaniment to the impressive lineup this year, featuring hard-hitting performances from the music industry’s most renowned Hip-hop/Rap artists. Rolling Loud’s comeback to Southern California also came with huge changes following the storm of COVID-19 and safety issues affecting both artists and fans, including their newly-implemented 18+ attendee policy as a response to the tragic Astroworld Festival and security protocols requiring artists to leave the grounds after their sets.

This year’s Rolling Loud weekend saw everything from a fully-stacked roundup of Bay Area artists including performances from Berner and Mozzy, to Rubi Rose’s (genius) onstage Onlyfans promo, to a surprise Kanye appearance.

In the aftermath of the festival, fans have inevitably been discussing the ever-looming post-festival question: who had the best set? We’ve brought you a selection of runners-up.

Kid Cudi

One of the performances that dominated talk at the close of Rolling Loud’s first day was Kid Cudi, whose set— dedicated to the late Virgil Abloh—included a mix of true fan favorites, showcasing songs off his boast-worthy 2020 project Man On The Moon III: The Chosen. Beyond his work on the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix film Entergalactic, Cudi teased that he would be dropping two albums over the course of 2022 much to the excitement of a roaring audience, launching straight into the debut of new joints like “Freshie” and “Just Look Up,” the latter of which features Ariana Grande for the soundtrack of Netflix’s star-studded film Don’t Look Up, set to premiere on December 24th. In a particularly poignant moment during his performance, Cudi also revealed his final texts to Virgil Abloh— an intimate and lasting tribute to the Off-White founder and world-renowned designer that was nothing short of historic.

Cudi wasn’t the only artist to pay an artist homage over the weekend; Young Dolph’s go-to collaborator and cousin Key Glock was one of a number of Paper Route Empire artists who commemorated the impact and legacy of the late Memphis rapper, a trailblazing multi-hyphenate who was himself a four-year Rolling Loud veteran. Key Glock joined fellow artists OT Genasis and fellow Paper Route Empire rappers Paper Route Woo and Snupe Bandz to perform songs in Dolph’s remembrance. A photo of the late artist underscored by the words “Young Dolph Immortal” stormed the screen as the speakers blasted some of Dolph’s most impactful songs, including “Preach,” culminating in a particularly emotional and beyond-heartwrenching set that separated itself from the rest of the festival.

J. Cole

Capping off Saturday night’s set was all-star headliner J. Cole, who hit the Rolling Loud stage to the audience’s explosive cries. Cole’s setlist was curated with both old and new joints, featuring classics that go all the way back to his 2011 and 2014 albums Cole World: The Sideline Story and 2014 Forest Hills Drive respectively, as well as songs off of this year’sThe Off-Season. For many, J. Cole was arguably one of the top performances across the weekend’s board, which was only fitting for what he revealed would be “his last show for a while.” Through and through, he bid love to his fans (at one point, Cole picked up a fan’s phone and started recording himself as he performed his verse on 21 Savage‘s “a lot”) as well as Dreamville signees Bas and Lute, tearing down the festival, raising goosebumps, and demonstrating exactly what it means to live in Cole World.

Playboi Carti

While fans quickly began drawing comparisons to Carti’s Rolling Loud NYC performance, King Vamp didn’t disappoint. It was clear that hordes of festival-goers had been waiting for Carti all weekend. Accompanied by his skilled guitar player, Carti brought all the energy Sunday night, with live deliveries of songs from his 2020 album Whole Lotta Red— including the electrifying highlights “Rockstar Made” and “King Vamp.” At one point during his set, Carti got onto the cameraman’s platform— a viral moment among the countless videos of the artist bouncing against his stage flanked with pyrotechnics, a spectacle among the rage.

Future

At this point, it is little surprise that one of the most memorable and noteworthy sets of the weekend was Future‘s headlining performance, where he performed songs off both his more-recent and marinated albums, from 2017’s FUTURE to last year’s High Off Life. Midway through his set, Future brought out Roddy Ricch, who stepped out for a surprise performance of “The Box.” Coming off the gleam of his run through “March Madness,” however, the Atlanta-raised rapper then introduced Ye to the stage, who ran out to the beat of “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.” This would historically mark Ye’s first Rolling Loud appearance in a decisively unforgettable finale to the weekend. “Wait till I get my money right,” fans screamed back in fervor, as Future and Ye capped off the night with Ye’s “Hurricane” and “Praise God” off his latest album DONDA and an unreleased version of Future’s acclaimed 2015 hit “Fuck Up Some Commas,” featuring a Rolling Loud Fest-exclusive freestyle from Yeezy. At one point, Ye and Future started dancing to Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” onstage— a special nod to the end of Ye and the 6 God’s years-long feud following their collaborative Free Larry Hoover show just last Thursday.

Flavor Flav Almost Crushed To Death In Freak Boulder Car Accident: Report

Flavor Flav may have totalled his car earlier today, but he’s luckily to have been spared his life after boulder fell down a La Tuna Canyon cliffside and reportedly smashed the right side of his vehicle.

According to TMZ, the rapper was on a road trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles when he was struck, causing him to lose control of his car for a brief second. Thankfully, he managed to regain control and safely maneuvered the vehicle to the side of the road.

Photos shared by the outlet show that the rock did a tremendous amount of damage, completely smashing in the front right side of the white whip. “We’re told if Flav had just been a few feet in another direction, the boulder would’ve killed him,” the article reads.

Reports say that the 62-year-old is mentally shaken up following the incident, but physically he’s doing fine. “God is good,” he told TMZ. “[I] came very close to death but [I’m] super grateful to be alive,” the New York native added.

Apparently, at the time of the rock’s tumble, another patron of the road saw the whole thing go down, and had begun to “freak out” before stopping to see if the other driver was ok. It’s been noted that the Flavor of Love star had his team’s help in getting AAA to the scene to get his totaled vehicle.

Back in October, we shared a story about Flavor Flav’s recent arrest for domestic battery – read more about that here.

Young Nudy Nearly Hit With Fireworks On Stage At Rolling Loud

This past weekend’s Rolling Loud Los Angeles brought us many noteworthy moments. Whether it be Future bringing out Kanye West during his headlining set, DaBaby having bottles thrown at him on stageKid Cudi previewing new music or Key Glock honoring his fallen best friend Young Dolph, Rolling Loud LA was one to remember.

Before Future and Ye hit the stage on Sunday though, Young Nudy’s 6:10 p.m. PST set at the Punx stage delivered its own drama.

In the midst of a fruitful 2021 where Nudy dropped two different projects, he showed up at his set ready to turn up. However, while he was performing “Pussy,” the twelfth song on his 2017 project Nudy Land, he was almost caught by some of the stage’s pyrotechnics.

As he rapped the song’s chorus, fireworks shot up from the floor, almost hitting him. Luckily, he was able to escape unscathed, as he and his hype man on stage laughed it off and continued with the show.

It seems that the weekend of Rolling Loud ended with more positive headlines than negative, as it can tend to bring about unfortunate events like arrests or scandals. As the festival that brings together mostly all genres of hip-hop, the fans and artists having a good time should always be celebrated. Young Nudy avoided injury from the fireworks and got to play his hits for his fans, which is what he came to do.

Check out the video of Nudy dodging pyro below.

Rowdy Rebel Says Epic Records Hasn’t Paid Him Since 2014 & He’s Done Making Music

Rowdy Rebel says he is refusing to release any new music until his record label, Epic Records, pays him. In an Instagram post uploaded on Tuesday, Rebel claims that he has yet to be paid for any of the music he has put out since 2014.

“I’m not dropping no more music until @epicrecords pay me,” Rowdy wrote in the photo. “I haven’t received one check for all the music I put out since 2014. I been patient but enough is enough.”

After being released from prison in December 2020, Rebel has yet to put out a full-length project. Instead, he’s released several singles, including linking up with Doe Boy and 42 Dugg on “Ain’t My Fault,” last week.

Rebel’s close collaborator, Bobby Shmurda, has had similar trouble with record labels as of late. Earlier this month, Shmurda wrote on Instagram about not having any control of his music throughout his career.

“I ain’t been in charge of my music since I was 19 years old and I just turned 27 and honestly idk when sh*t dropping so don’t ask me sh*t go ask them mf’s since they wanna control everything!!!!!!!” Shmurda said at the time.

OJ Simpson Is A Free Man After Parole Gets Dropped Early

Back in 2008, OJ Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison after staging an armed robbery in which he tried to get some memorabilia from someone who had allegedly robbed him. Considering OJ’s past, this was quite the big deal at the time, and in 2017, OJ was actually released on parole after just nine years in prison.

Since that time, OJ has moved back to Nevada and his become a pundit of sorts on Twitter. He can usually be found giving his opinions on sports, politics, and pop culture, all while enjoying his time out on the golf course.

Now, however, OJ can enjoy more than just the links as he has been officially taken off of parole. Simply put, Simpson is a free man.

In a report from TMZ Sports, it was noted that the Nevada State Police confirmed OJ’s freedom. The former NFL star was supposed to come off of parole in February of next year, however, he was taken off early due to good behavior. OJ hasn’t gotten himself into any trouble since coming home from prison, and he is being rewarded with an early end to his parole.

OJ himself has yet to make a statement on the matter, although we’re sure the Twitter video is coming soon.

Lala Kent Seemingly Shades Ex-Fiancé Randall Emmett With Vibrator Ad On Instagram

Vanderpump Rules cast member Lala Kent and movie producer Randall Emmett were set to wed in April of 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their plans were cancelled. A little over a year later, the two split after photos of the reality star’s fiancé hanging out with other women while in Nashville surfaced.

“The second that I felt unsafe – I said this in therapy – I said, ‘The second I get a pit in my stomach, it’ll be a different conversation.’ I got that pit and I got the f*ck out,” the mother of one said after the news came out back in October. Now, it seems that she’s in a good enough place to poke fun at her sex life with her ex in front of her nearly two million followers.

“‘Tis the season for a little extra self-care,” she captioned a selfie of her holding up a sex toy. “I’m giving away *thousands* of free vibrators and goodies to help celebrate the holidays! It’s the best sexy time I’ve had in five years and eight months,” she added, followed by a smirking emoji and instructions on how to enter the giveaway.

Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to pick up on the shade Lala was putting down. “LMAOOO u so wrong for this one Lala! I’m crying,” one user wrote. “Gurrrrl you did not have to drag him like that but lmfao I’m so glad you did,” she added.

In the weeks following the breakup from her baby daddy, Kent has been candid about her decision to walk away from a situation that was no longer serving her on her podcast, Give Them Lala. “Unfortunately, for me, my head has been in the sand,” she shared, admitting that she had been oblivious to some of Emmett’s unfortunate behaviours.

For those that want all the details on the drama, the 31-year-old revealed that she’ll be diving into deeper detail on the upcoming season nine reunion of Vanderpump Rules. “Certain things can be discussed,” she revealed. “There are certain things that go a little deeper.”

As reported by Page Six, Kent has moved herself out of Emmett’s Bel Air mansion, and gotten a place of her own.

Check back in with HNHH for more updates on what Lala Kent has to say about her split.
