The Kid LAROI Recounts The Story Of Juice WRLD’s Death In New HBO Doc

The past two weeks have been used as a time to celebrate and remember the life of Juice WRLD. First, on Dec. 10, his second posthumous album Fighting Demons was released, and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Next, on Dec. 16, HBO Max released a nearly two-hour documentary about his life, his struggle with drug addiction, his artistry, his death and his impact on hip-hop titled Juice WRLD: Into The Abyss.

The documentary showed some wholesome moments to put a smile on the viewers’ faces, such as the time he was singing along with Cordae as Trippie Redd performed his hit collaborative song with XXXTentacion “F**k Love.”

Later, it showed another touching video of Juice WRLD meeting Tyler, The Creator and praising him for being a major influence on his younger years, leaving Tyler speechless.

Along with these nice moments though, there were some dark recollections as well. The documentary dropped two years and one week after Juice’s death in 2019, and they used Juice’s close friends to re-tell the tragic story. The Kid LAROI always viewed Juice WRLD as a mentor, as he was an artist Juice took under his wing, and boosted to popularity.

Now, LAROI’s notoriety has peaked, as he has achieved No. 1 hits and viral fame. Being this close to Juice, he revealed that he was present, along with Juice’s girlfriend Ally, when Juice was stopped at the airport by police and fatally overdosed on drugs. LAROI said that Juice bled from the mouth, and police prevented them from getting Juice the help he needed: “I remember walking off (the plane), and seeing through the window all the police and sh*t. They said, ‘Everybody get your passports out.’ So I’m sitting down and Juice is sitting across from me… I kind of froze, I didn’t really know what I could do to help him. So we’re all just sitting there panicking. At first, we just thought he was having a seizure, but then blood started coming out of his mouth and his nose. Then, everybody obviously started freaking out way more. Then the police came over and handcuffed us all in a line and said, ‘Get the f**k away from him…’ They’re telling Ally he’s fine, but we’re all looking like, ‘Bro, he’s bleeding.'”

Tristan Thompson’s Lawsuit Against Alleged BM Maralee Nichols Dismissed By Texas Judge

Tristan Thompson’s most recent affair has taken several twists and turns in the last few months. What first started off as Tristan allegedly getting personal trainer Maralee Nichols pregnant, has led to Drake, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner getting hit with metaphorical stray bullets and now, the paternity case Tristan brought to Texas getting thrown out.

Maralee gave birth Tristan’s child in early December, as he shares the same last name, Thompson, with his father. Before the birth, however, Tristan offered Maralee $75,000 to abort the child, and sent her messages that he would not support the baby if she decided to go through with the pregnancy: “You are aware that I’m retiring after this season. So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who’s unemployed. It’s Texas so it will only be a couple hundred dollars. So you better off taking this 75k I’m offering cause you won’t get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who’s unemployed. All you will have is a baby with a father who has zero involvement with the child and a few hundred dollars of child support a month.”

So, ahead of the birth, Nichols filed a paternity case in California, where both her and Tristan live, to secure financial compensation from Tristan. Tristan soon responded with a case of his own in Texas. He chose Texas because the child support is typically not as steep as it is in California, and tried to justify it by claiming Maralee owned land in Texas.

However, this week, the judge in Texas overseeing the paternity case threw out the Texas suit, after a virtual hearing involving both Tristan and Maralee on Wednesday (Dec. 15). A source from UsWeekly explained that the judge did not feel the affair could be justifiably tied to Texas: “Regardless of whether any act of conception occurred in Texas that could have led to the conception of the child, they [allegedly] had a lengthy relationship spanning multiple states. The child was born in California, the mother resides there and so does Tristan. It would make sense the judge would dismiss this given the facts and the California lawsuit filed prior to the Texas one.”

This has all come back to bite Tristan, as he hopes to get a favorable outcome when Nichols’s paternity case in California begins.

Drakeo The Ruler Is Dead At 28 After He Was Fatally Stabbed At A Los Angeles Festival

Drakeo The Ruler, born Darrell Caldwell, is dead at 28 after he was fatally stabbed at Los Angeles’ Once Upon A Time Festival on Saturday night. The stabbing was initially reported by the Los Angeles Times, who said Drakeo was attacked by a group of people backstage at the showcase. The story was then confirmed by Rolling Stone. He was quickly transported to a local hospital and initially listed in critical condition, but hours later, he succumbed to his injuries.

Drakeo’s death is an unfortunate ending to a promising career that was often halted and disrupted by numerous roadblocks. He earned his breakout moment after DJ Mustard remixed his track “Mr. Get Dough” in April 2015. Months later he released his debut mixtape, I Am Mr. Mosely, under Mustard’s 10 Summers record label. He released numerous mixtapes over the next few years, but run-ins with the law, which often proved to be controversial, disrupted his upward trajectory.

In March 2018, Drakeo was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder in relation to a December 2016 shooting in Carson, California. He faced life in prison, but a year later, he was acquitted of the murder and attempted murder charges. Despite this, the district attorney decided to re-file charges of criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a motor vehicle in August 2019, as both charges resulted in a hung jury during the first trial. In November 2020, he was released from jail after the district attorney suddenly offered him a plea deal for time served after he spent three years behind bars.

Despite his time behind bars, Drakeo released a pair of projects, Free Drakeo and Thank You For Using GTL, with the latter receiving high praise from critics. After his release in November 2020, he went on to release four mixtapes (We Know The Truth, Because Y’all Asked, Ain’t That The Truth, and So Cold I Do Em 2) as well as his debut album The Truth Hurts.

Offset Rejects Cardi B’s Outfit For Their Son: “Hell Nah, Got My Boy Looking Like Ne-Yo”

Celebrities really are just like us. Earlier this weekend, Cardi B and her husband Offset gave fans a look into what it’s like to go shopping as a parent of two when you’re a multi-hyphenate entertainer, revealing that even they sometimes have trouble agreeing on how to dress their young children.

In a video uploaded to her Instagram story, the New York native can be seen filming through her front camera as she walks through the store with her mask on. “Babe, look,” she says while holding up a small grey fedora, the smile on her face evident from the gleam in her eyes.

“Oh hell nah,” Offset responds without hesitation from off camera. “I’m not putting that shit on my son, man. Got my boy looking like Ne-Yo,” he continued as Cardi let out a fit of laughter. “I can’t stand him,” she wrote overtop of the Instagram story post. “It’s cute,” she insisted before the clip cuts off.

Shortly after, the “WAP” rapper returned with another “cute” look to show off, consisting of little red trousers, a matching bow tie, a blue button-up shirt, and suspenders with what look like Christmas trees on them. “Hell the f*ck no, man” Offset says, appearing behind his wife. “This is cute,” she tells him.

“Man, bro, stop playing for real,” the rapper responds. “Baby, he could dress at least like, you know,” Cardi goes on, trying to win her case before her man shuts her down one last time, comparing the fit to something that Carlton Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would wear.

Just a few days ago, the 29-year-old shared a heartfelt tribute to her baby daddy on the gram. “We have overcome so much together. I love the man you’re becoming and I love the father that you are. Thank you for always being there for me, for being a great confidant and advisor and for never allowing me to sell myself short.”

Jake Paul Puts Tyron Woodley To Sleep: Twitter Hilariously Reacts

Last night (Dec. 18), YouTuber-turned-boxing novice improved his record to 5-0, defeating former UFC champion Tyron Woodley for the second time in their rematch. As with every Paul fight, whether it be Jake or his older brother Logan, they grabbed the attention of the entire country during their fight.

After Jake devastatingly knocked out Woodley in the sixth round, Woodley’s mother was the first to congratulate Jake, causing Twitter to clown Tyron.

Subsequently, Jake would take to Twitter to flex his victory, claiming that every fighter he has faced has met the same fate.

In the aftermath of Woodley’s demise, the fight garnered a wide array of opinions. Griselda rapper Benny The Butcher, along with many others, claimed the fight was fixed: “How many of you motherf**kers believe in that Jake Paul-Woodley sh*t? Let’s be real here man. Come on man, this is a gimmick man. They’re juicing us man.”

Other opinions like these claim that Paul and Woodley arranged for the fight to be fixed so they could both earn large sums of money.

Others, however, including Memphis Grizzles star point guard Ja Morant, Jake’s brother Logan and Maryland hip-hop sensation Cordae, praised Paul’s hands.

Some people were also just here for the jokes, rattling off tweets and memes referencing the TikTok Detroit Urban Survival guy and clowning Woodley for walking out pre-fight with rapper Joyner Lucas.

Were you happy to see Jake Paul win, or disappointed for Woodley?

Gucci Mane & Zaytoven Reconnect On “Street N***a Christmas”

Gucci Mane’s catalog is one-of-one. With dozens of mixtapes under his belt, and 15 studio albums to his name, the rapper has delivered music for practically any occasion. Though hip-hop has many Christmas-themed records, there are only a handful of rappers who’ve actually put out Christmas albums. Gucci’s put out several and on Friday, he delivered So Icy Christmas. The 17-song project largely highlights the 1017 roster but Wop did bless us with a few holiday jingles.

Kicking off the project is “Street N***a Christmas.” With production handled by his long-time collaborator Zaytoven, Gucci Mane takes on the role of East Atlanta Santa, once again, as he draws parallels to his status in the streets and Christmas time.

Check ot a highlight off of Gucci mane’s So Icy Christmas below.

Quotable Lyrics
I’m East Atlanta Santa when the bales touch down
All these ho’ ho’ hoes know the player’s in town
Wrapping up a brick like I’m wrapping up a present
Ain’t thinking ’bout the past ’cause I’m focused on the present

Roddy Ricch Stacks It Up On “thailand”

It’s been a long time coming but finally, Roddy Ricch unveiled his sophomore album on Friday. There has been much anticipation surrounding the album’s release, especially after two years of waiting for the follow-up to Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. Unfortunately, many weren’t exactly thrilled about the final product but there are certainly many highlights on Live Life Fast.

“Thailand” kicks off the project following the slow-burning intro that interpolates Rick Ross’ “Live Fast Die Young” ft. Kanye West. As the muffled 808s kick in, Roddy starts off the record with an infectious quotable, declaring, “I flew my bitch out from thailaaaaaaaaand, she do the most.” With production handled by Southside, Roddy Ricch delivers a show-stopping anthem that’s bound to rattle any stadium in the future.

Check the song out below.

Quotable Lyrics
You gon’ need some more of this shit
Livin’ prototype, they gon’ copy a n***a
I done spent some M’s on my property, n***a
Got rich off “The Box” how I box me a n***a

Domo Genesis Shares “IDFK” Ahead Of His Upcoming Album

Domo Genesis has returned with a new single, “IDFK,” produced by Tedd Boyd. The track arrived on Friday, December 17th and, according to OnSmash, is precedes an album, which is set to drop sometime in 2022 and will be called Things Happen To Us.

The single comes in at two minutes and 49 seconds and finds the 30-year-old confronting God, pondering how he can guide humans into so much “shit,” before bragging about his ever-consistent vibes. “All my worries less earthy, I ain’t bound to that shit / But my chеst is so full of pride, I’ll probably drown in that shit / But even when it’s ugly I just dive in the trenches / Lows and highs had me feeling this alive in a minute,” the Inglewood native closes out his first verse.

We heard from Domo with Tyler, The Creator on “MANIFESTO” from the latter’s Call Me If You Get Lost album earlier this year, but otherwise, things have been relatively quiet on his front over the last year.

Who do you hope to see Domo Genesis link up with on his next record? Let us know below.

Quotable Lyrics:

You say that pressure rise, how come all I hear is silence?
Getting high and asking God how he can guide this shit
I’m too consistent with the vibe how I provide that
So if you let me come alive, wait, alright, that’s it
