Trey Songz & Diddy Named In $20Mil Lawsuit From Woman Who Alleges Sexual Assault: Report

He has already reportedly been named in a case out of Las Vegas, but Trey Songz is adding to his legal woes with a new lawsuit. We previously reported that Trey was allegedly in Sin City to celebrate his birthday, but police claim that a woman stated she was a victim of sexual assault. As that case lingers, another has emerged out of Miami when a separate woman alleges that she was assaulted by Songz on New Year’s Day back in 2018.

Jauhara Jeffries filed a civil lawsuit against Songz yesterday (December 20) where she makes claims that the assault allegedly occurred at Diddy’s home on the exclusive Star Island.

According to NBC News, Jeffries says she attended a New Year’s Eve party at the residence and stayed there for about two hours. She called a ride-sharing service because she and a few of her friends wanted to go to Miami’s E11EVEN nightclub. Songz was allegedly leaving Diddy’s party at that time as well and according to Jeffries, the singer heard the group of women talking about heading over to the nightclub. Documents state that he offered them a ride and invited the ladies to sit with him at his VIP table.

It alleges that while Jeffries was dancing on a couch, Songz sexually violated her with his fingers. It accuses him of pulling his hand away when Jeffries turned around, the suit says.

“Plaintiff immediately got off of the couch, sat down, and was in a state of shock,” the lawsuit says. Another woman who went over to see what was wrong with Jeffries told her that Songz had also violated her with his fingers, the suit claims.

Eventually, Songz, Jeffries, and her friends left the club and got back into his vehicle, according to the lawsuit, which claims that Songz took his shirt off during the ride and that “fearing more assault, plaintiff began recording defendant Songz for her own safety.”

Jeffries claims that Songz attempted to take the phone from her, but when she didn’t turn it over, he kicked her out of the vehicle. She states that the singer’s driver “violently pulled her out of the vehicle” as Songz “pushed her, and threw her onto the street” before issuing threats.

A representative for Songz reportedly denied the allegations and refused to issue a statement. The nightclub, however, did speak out and said that they “do not condone the alleged actions.”

Jeffries names Songz, Diddy, and E11EVEN in the $20 million suit where she “alleges civil battery, as well as negligence and emotional distress.” She reportedly did file the suit last year but remained anonymous. That suit was dismissed due to a “technical error,” so she decided to refile.

E11EVEN is seeking to be removed from the lawsuit altogether.

Goldenvoice Earns A Restraining Order Against Live Nation After Their Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

Earlier this month, Goldenvoice filed a lawsuit against Live Nation over an event the company is attempting to host which bears a title similar to another well-known showcase. Live Nation was set to hold the Coachella Day One 22 festival in California on New Year’s Eve, but thanks to a new ruling from a judge, some changes will have to be made. According to Rolling Stone, Judge R. Gary Klausner awarded Goldenvoice with a restraining order against Live Nation over the event, which features a name similar to the former’s Coachella festival, which is set to go down in April 2022.

Judge Klausner ruled that Goldenvoice is “likely to succeed” with its copyright infringement argument against Live Nation. While the ruling will require Live Nation to make some changes, it does not stop them from hosting the festival as planned. With the restraining order, Judge Klausner called Live Nation’s argument “simply unpersuasive,” adding it “does not rebut the presumption of irreparable harm.”

The ruling comes after Goldenvoice filed two separate cease-and-desist letters to Live Nation in October and November for promoting and selling tickets for Coachella Day One 22. The original lawsuit was filed against Live Nation instead of the festival’s organizers, Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, because the indigenous tribe that operates the venue Coachella Crossroads — where Coachella Day One 22 was set to be held — is “entitled to sovereign immunity and therefore not subject to suit.”

Twenty-Nine Palms on the other hand previously tried to file a copyright for “Coachella Crossroads” but were denied over confusion with the Coachella festival. After a second application, however, they were approved after saying they would only host community and sports events. Despite this, they’ve promoted music-related events at the venue including a Toby Keith concert that took place in May.

Kanye West’s Manager Launches Throne NFT Marketplace

The NFT craze took over the year. While finance experts were speaking on the volatility of cryptocurrency, artists and creators have embraced the world of Non-Fungible Tokens. There’s still confusion surrounding the concept but NFTs aren’t going to be a hot commodity — they’re here to stay.

We’ve seen plenty of artists jump into the NFT space, including several prominent rappers. Tory Lanez, Dave East, and Jim Jones are a handful of MCs who’ve taken a liking to the NFT space. Now, a new marketplace for NFTs called Throne (THN) has officially launched with several prominent figures, including Kanye West’s manager, backing the venture.

Throne Marketplace was launched by Gee Roberson, manager of Kanye West and former manager of Drake and Nicki Minaj, producer Nellee Hooper, Chimere Cisse, a comm. exec. at Blackberry, and more. The newly launched venture is backed by Ethereum Blockchain and allows creators to list their NFTs within minutes. NFT collectors are then allowed to place their bids, make offers, and buy digital assets, whether it’s photos, audios, or video.

Throne Marketplace runs off of its own utility token listed as THN. The benefit of its own form of crypto is that it gives creators a free platform to use without fees attached.

With NFTs significantly growing in popularity, Throne Marketplace seems like an excellent solution for all the creators out there looking to make the leap into the digital space.

Meagan Good & DeVon Franklin Announce Divorce: “There’s No One At Fault”

They have been a Christian power couple that often touted their romance, but their fans were disappointed to learn the news of Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin’s marriage. The couple first met back in 2011 while working on the film Jumping the Broom and the following year, they were engaged. Good and Franklin wasted no time in saying “I do” and wed just one month after the proposal.

The couple has often thrust themselves into conversations about their Christian faith and religious beliefs as Franklin works as an author, producer, and preacher. For years, Meagan has also spoken openly about her lack of acceptance in certain Christian circles because people feel as if she dresses too revealing. Yet, the couple endured and even penned a book together titled The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love.

Just ahead of the Christmas holiday, Good and Franklin have announced that they are ending their marriage after nine years. Following reports that Franklin officially filed for the divorce, the pair released a joint statement.

“After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected,” they stated. “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love. We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”

Over the summer, they traded sweet social media posts in celebration of their ninth wedding anniversary, and back on December 2, Franklin posted that he was “proud of my love” for her new show on Amazon Prime. No further details regarding what led to the split have been shared at this time.

Kim Kardashian Advocates For Man Sentenced To 110 Years For Colorado Truck Crash

It’s approximated that 4 million people have signed a petition on behalf of Rogel Aguilera-Mederos following a devastating highway crash in Colorado. The 26-year-old, who worked as a truck driver, was the catalyst of a deadly crash in 2019 that took the lives of four people. Sadly, the brakes on Rogel’s truck stopped working, setting off a series of events that would result in this tragedy.

Many believed that because Rogel was not intoxicated or inebriated, he wouldn’t serve prison time. However, he was convicted of 24 charges and sentenced to 110 years in prison, and now, the world has reacted by demanding his case be reevaluated. One of his supporters is Kim Kardashian.

The lawyer-to-be has taken a closer look at this case and shared her insights on social media. Like millions of others, Kardashian is hoping that Colorado officials will reexamine this case.

“Another shocking and unfair part of this case is that the judge didn’t want to sentence him to such a lengthy sentence,” Kim wrote. “However, because of the mandatory minimums in Colorado, his hands were tied. Mandatory minimums take away judicial discretion and need to end. Colorado law really has to be changed and this is so unfair. @GovofCO is a really good person and I know he will do the right thing.”

She also called out the prosecutor in this case who Kardashian accused of being insensitive.

“Another shocking part of the case is this post by the prosecutor after his conviction. Four people died in this tragic accident,” she added. “Rogel has a life sentence for the accident, which will not only destroy his life, but it will also impact his wife and son’s life. And yet, for some reason the prosecutor thought it would be funny to post a photo of a brake shoe trophy she received from a colleague with a plaque? Makes me so sick.”

It has been reported that due to the outcry, officials are looking into this sentencing and may adjust Rogel’s punishment. Check out Kim’s posts below.

Roddy Ricch On Courtside Seats With Saweetie: “I Was Sitting Down First”

Celebrities get easily tangled up in dating rumors these days. Of course, that isn’t anything new but with social media and all, it’s easy for narratives to get carried away. Saweetie is quite familiar with this concept, especially in the past 12 months. From dating Quavo to being romantically linked to Lil Baby, Saweetie has found herself in headlines over speculation on her love life.

Earlier this year, she also found herself in an internet rumor that suggested she and fellow West Coast artist Roddy Ricch were a couple. It all began after they were seated next to one another courtside at a Lakers game. A photo of the two started circulating, and unfortunately, they both got caught up in trending gossip.

Saweetie later clarified that she and Roddy were not dating at all. “So avoid sitting next to men in public places otherwise the world assumes y’all are dating … got it,” she tweeted.

It seems that Roddy Ricch agrees since he publicly stated that he would rather random women distance themselves from him in a public setting, such as a Lakers game. During a recent interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the rapper opened up about the situation. “For all the females out there: stop sitting by me next to the game,” he said with a deadpan delivery. “I was sitting down first,” he added.

Roddy suggested that being seated next to Saweetie may have been a bit more strategic than people think. “I feel like people know what they be doing… You gotta just stop,” said Roddy. “I had people like, ‘What’s goin’ on y’all?’ Whoopty-woo. It’s like… I’m at the game. It’s my birthday. I’m faded out my mind. I ain’t thinkin’ ’bout no one sitting next to me.”

Check out the full interview below. Roddy talks courtside seats at the 21:15 mark.
