Throughout Kevin Durant’s career, he has always done his best to pay homage to his late Aunt Pearl, who passed away back in 2000 after a battle with lung cancer. Ever since coming out with the Nike KD 4, Durant has made it a point to release an “Aunt Pearl” colorway that features some gorgeous pink textures. With the Nike KD 14, fans were waiting to see if an “Aunt Pearl” offering would make its way to the market, and as it turns out, sneakerheads will not be disappointed.

In the images below, you can find the all-pink KD 14 which has numerous references to Pearl. From the angel wings on the back to the “Aunt Pearl” branding on the tongue, this shoe is the perfect homage to KD’s beloved aunt. All of the details are quite intricate and overall, this is yet another example of why Kevin Durant has one of the best signature sneakers on the floor this season.

What do you get somebody who already has everything for their birthday? Money. That’s what you get them… Money. And a whole lot of it.

Atlanta rapper Offset celebrated his belated birthday this week at the club with his wife, New York rapper Cardi B. They arrived at the party with $100,000 in singles, ready to throw the cash out to dancers in their vicinity. However, that wasn’t all the money they walked in with. As a surprise gift to her man, Cardi B stepped out with a gigantic cheque, handing it to Offset for his birthday. The amount was $2,000,000.

“Happy birthday!!!” wrote Cardi on Instagram, recounting the night with live updates to her story. “He literally got it all.”

The $2 million gift was met with a huge smile from Offset, who will likely be spoiling himself before the end of the year. The party also included a custom wall of sneakers to celebrate ‘Set’s love for kicks. And this was only one of the parties that the couple help. As you know, they like to do birthdays big.

The generous gift from Cardi B was only the beginning of her money-throwing ways on Tuesday night. When they were throwing money into the crowd of people at the club, Cardi nearly tripped and had to regain her footing before continuing. Jake Paul fought Tyron Woodley last weekend, and in the end, he came out victorious with a knockout win in the sixth round. It was by far the cleanest knockout of Jake’s entire boxing career, and moving forward, fans are interested to see what he can do against tougher opponents. 

Since the win, Paul has shown respect to Woodley as the former MMA fighter took the fight on just a two week’s notice. Jake felt like that was a true demonstration of will and determination, which ultimately went a long way in cementing the two fighters’ relationship. 

In a recent interview, Paul spoke about what’s next for him and Woodley, and as the former YouTube star explained, he’s already thinking about some content. As far as Jake is concerned, maybe even a blockbuster film could be in the works.

“People are saying we should do a podcast together,” Paul said. “I think it would be funny to do a Buddy-Cop movie together. So, our relationship doesn’t end here.”

In terms of Jake’s actual boxing career, he will probably go up against Tommy Fury next. However, he does seem to have interest in going up against some UFC fighters like Nate Diaz, which could be an interesting proposition.

Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost another game. This loss should not be a surprise to anyone when you consider that they fell to the Phoenix Suns who are one of the best teams in the entire league. With Anthony Davis out of the lineup, the Lakers just couldn’t get anything going on offense, and the only one who seemed to be trying, was LeBron James who finished with 34 points.

Now, the Lakers are 16-16 which means they are the most average team you can imagine. Even with three superstars, they are struggling to get it done, and LeBron is well-aware of the team’s shortcomings. After last night’s game, LeBron told the media what they are going to have to do going forward if they don’t want to sink any deeper.

“Just stay together, stay together,” LeBron said via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints. “We know we’re in a rough patch right now with guys coming back from injury, with guys in and out of protocol. Guys that’s injured. So, let’s just stay together until we come whole, or as close to whole as possible. Obviously, we got a lot of guys out right now. But, I loved our fight, I thought we had a good fight tonight. We just couldn’t make enough plays.”

The Lakers are looking ahead to Christmas Day, where they will take on the Brooklyn Nets. It’s not going to be easy, and in their current state, the Lakers probably have very little chance of winning.

LeBron James has been having a pretty solid season in terms of his statistics. Of course, he has had some injury issues, however, whenever he is on the floor, you can be sure that he is producing a lot for the team. For instance, LeBron put up 34 points last night, although it was not enough for the team to succeed as they lost by a score of 108-90. The Lakers lost yet another game, and it’s clear that LeBron’s supporting cast isn’t goo enough.

With Anthony Davis out for four weeks, it is going to be very difficult for this team to rally. LeBron can only do so much, and at this point, the bench hasn’t proven itself to provide any real support.

While the game itself wasn’t very fun for LeBron, he certainly made it a point to show up in a good mood. As you can see in the clip below, LeBron was holding a cigar while entering the arena. It was a pretty cool moment, although it drew some criticism from Kenny Smith of TNT who thought that the gesture was a bit disrespectful. Ultimately, we don’t think LeBron agrees. 

Regardless of how cool it all was, the Lakers still lost, and now, they have a lot to think about as they look to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Christmas Day.

It’s that time of year again when people start firing off their new year resolutions, and following yet another explosive social media moment with the mothers of his children, London On Da Track has shared his. Since the start of his previous relationship with Summer Walker, London has found his name in scandalous headlines. While he was with Summer, the singer was often at social media odds with the mothers of his kids, but once Summer found herself pregnant, she, too, began surfacing with complaints about her producer boyfriend.

Now that their romance has ended, Summer has a new beau and is setting out to be the best mother she can be, but yesterday (December 20), she went off on London regarding his parenting after she reportedly found a bruise on their daughter.

“She’s not one of your little cars or props you can just post for clout,” Summer wrote, begging for London to leave while adding that she doesn’t want child support. “I wish you would just go. We don’t need you. She has a real father over here. We be the ones sleep deprived taking care of her while you out doing whatever.”

As usual, London stayed silent as the other mothers of his children attacked Summer with subliminal shots or outright vicious comments. The dust has since settled, for now, so London has emerged with a post that seemingly references his recent drama.

“2022 we gotta stop lying to the public [smiling emoji with sunglasses][snake emoji],” he wrote on Instagram. “Sh*t getting real weird in the field [crying laughing emojis].” The public wasn’t taken with his reaction to this ongoing drama. Check it out below.

When it comes to Lil Kim, her peers make sure to stand by her side when things get tough. The Rap veteran is a longtime, respected emcee in the game, but that hasn’t made her impervious to receiving severe criticism from the public. Kim is used to people coming at her and typically stays silent regarding negativity, but after a clip of the music video to her “Santa Papi” went viral and people lashed out at Kim, Cardi B has had enough.

The holiday song is connected to Nick Cannon’s Miracles Across 125th Street film and several people shared the video with harsh remarks about the Queen Bee.

“I’m tired of it and it’s heartbreaking…She’s is so sweet ,supportive and a REAL F*CKIN LEGEND,” Cardi tweeted. “I remember when I used to beef wit b*tches and I used to put on my MySpace her song F*CK YOU! The support caused Cardi to become a target as well, and someone asked her if she loves Lil Kim so much, why hasn’t she collaborated with her. Cardi didn’t see the logic in that statement.

This latest wave of increasing COVID cases has caused not only major sports leagues to take even more extreme precautions, but colleges and universities are feeling the pressure to crack down, as well. Amid conversation regarding the University of Southern California reportedly suspending their basketball season during this COVID outbreak, news about the school’s former football star has also surfaced, and it isn’t favorable.

According to NBC News Los Angeles, former USC linebacker, 22-year-old Abdul-Malik McClain, was taken into custody yesterday (December 21) after authorities claimed he was the leader of a “scheme that fraudulently sought hundreds of thousands of dollars in COVID-related unemployment benefits.”

Investigators state that this is one of many types of scams that have occurred during the pandemic, including those related to PPP Loan fraud. McClain isn’t the only person implicated in this alleged scheme, either—authorities say that while McClain was the person who allegedly orchestrated the plot, he had other football players who followed in his footsteps.

Prosecutors allege that, while a member of the team, McClain organized and assisted a group of other players in filing fraudulent claims for unemployment benefits, including under the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program established by Congress in response to the pandemic’s economic fallout.

It has been alleged that the players falsified documents with information about their “supposed prior employment, pandemic-related job loss, and job-seeking efforts in California, according to federal prosecutors.” The benefits program reportedly sent them Bank of America debit cards for assistance that included hundreds to thousands of dollars. The money was reportedly withdrawn from ATMs and used “to fund personal expenses.”

McClain also stands accused of helping players fill out fraudulent forms in order to receive a percentage of the money that was given through the benefit program. In total, “at least three dozen fraudulent applications” were linked to McClain for a request of $903K, but in the end, they only received $227K.

USC reportedly issued a statement saying they were first made aware of the situation in September 2020 and have cooperated with investigators since that time. McClain has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and posted his $20K bond. His trial is reportedly slated to begin on February 15.
