LeBron James has voiced his frustrations about the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols quite a bit over the past few months. The NBA superstar feels like the league is not doing a good job right now, and after LeBron himself had a false-positive, he felt like he was being done dirty. At times, it almost seems like LeBron believes this is just a league-wide conspiracy to keep the Lakers down, however, it is quite clear that every single team has been effected by what’s going on.

Just last night, LeBron claimed that the Lakers have no chemistry because players keep testing positive for the virus. While this may be true, it would be a stretch to think that this is some coordinated attack against the Lakers. It is simply the realities of COVID during the winter months.

Now, LeBron is resorting to memes that question whether or not COVID-19 is that bad. Numerous players around the league have lost loved ones to COVID, however, that isn’t stopping LeBron from questioning the severity of the virus. On Instagram, LeBron posted the classic Spider-Man meme where they are all pointing at each other. With this meme, the insinuation is that the flu, the common cold, and COVID-19 are all the same thing. Needless to say, LeBron is about to piss off a lot of people.

In fact, it’s kind of interesting that no one’s told him to delete this year, although we’re sure Adam Silver is about to give him a call, very soon.

With the worsening COVID conditions, this holiday is shaping up to be an interesting one, particularly for those who have plans to hop on an airplane over the coming days. As Complex reports, over 500 Christmas Eve flights have been cancelled due to a surge in Omicron cases and staff shortages.

The article notes that a flight tracking site called FlightAware has listed 175 United Christmas Eve and 69 Christmas Day flights as cancelled by midday Friday. Delta has also been faced with substantial issues, cutting 145 flights for today, and 111 for tomorrow. On top of these numbers, JetBlue has also cancelled more than 50 of their scheduled take offs.

“The nationwide spike in omicron cases this week has had a direct impact on our flight crews and the people who run our operation,” United has said in a statement. “As a result, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel some flights and are notifying impacted customers in advance of them coming to the airport. We’re sorry for the disruption and are working hard to rebook as many people as possible and get them on their way for the holidays.”

Delta shared a similar sentiment, telling the Associated Press that their cancellations are happening not only because of Omicron, but also due to weather conditions in certain areas. “We apologize to our customers for the delay in their holiday travel plans,” they said. “Delta people are working hard to get them to where they need to be as quickly and as safely as possible on the next available flight.”

While some passengers are certainly having a nightmarish holiday, those who chose to fly with American Airlines and Southwest Airlines are faring much better. The former said they had “nothing to report” while the latter shared that “things are running smoothly,” as per the Associated Press.

It’s been reported that TSA screened over two million people on Wednesday, exceeding the total number of people who travelled using airports on December 23rd, 2019.

Jake Paul defeated Tyron Woodley recently, and now, he wants something bigger for himself. While many are suggesting that he goes up against someone like Tommy Fury, Jake doesn’t seem to be down for that anymore. As he recently explained, Fury is no longer a big enough name for him anymore. Instead, he would much rather go up against someone who can provide a bit more weight to a potential card. 

In fact, Paul has been very open and honest about who he would like to fight next. While many of those people are from the MMA world, there are still real boxers that Paul would like to conquer. For instance, Jake recently took to Twitter where he offered up the top 5 names that are currently on his boxing bucket list.

The first name on that list is Dana White, which, of course, is simply a joke entry. From there, we have Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, and Canelo Alvarez. Mike Tyson has thought about fighting Jake’s brother Logan, while Mayweather has already fought Logan. Having said that, there is a good chance Paul could secure those fights one day. Canelo and Fury, on the other hand, are much different beasts. They believe they are above Paul, and rightfully so. However, perhaps Paul could fight them both in five years from now when they’re on their way out of the sport.

For the final entry in this year’s “12 Days of Christmas” interview series, HNHH got in touch with Paper Route Empire producer Bandplay, the architect behind tracks like French Montana’s “Water,” Nipsey Hussle’s “Drop Coupes,” Young Dolph’s “Major,” and several Key Glock songs. 

During his interview, Bandplay covered a myriad of topics, from his come-up as a producer to his Street Orchestra production label, yet one of the most interesting reveals came when the Middle Tennessee native discussed the making of Young Dolph and Key Glock‘s gold-certified track “Major.” According to Bandplay, the beat for “Major” was originally just meant for the Yellow Tape 2 rapper.

“What was so crazy is I was already working with Glock,” Bandplay recalls. “Just sending him beats and stuff through a mutual person that I had met dealing with him. One day Dolph called me and it was actually on a day that one of my auntie’s had passed. He called me that day and was like, ‘Bro, my whole label rapping on like 45 or 55 percent of your beats. What’s up man? I’m trying to sign you.’ I feel like at the time that he called me, the song “Major” was already done and recorded.”

“I don’t know how true this is, but if I’m not mistaken, I feel like Glock had did a song to that beat already, but Dolph had did a song to the same beat,” Bandplay explains. “I feel like they were just like, ‘F**k it.’ Dolph did his song and then threw Glock on it. That happened to be the first song that they did together as well. Them being label-mates, cousins, family members and everything, this the first song that they ever did together and put out to the world and it went gold.”

On December 18th, the world celebrated what would’ve been prolific rapper DMX’s 51st birthday by remembering his best moments and mourning how things have changed since his death due to a cocaine-induced heart attack following a relapse earlier this year.

In an interview with The Sun, the New York legend’s lifelong friend DJ Superior has explained what he and the recording artist’s uncle said to X while he was in the hospital in a coma. “I would’ve been so happy if he got up,” Superior recalled.

“His uncle was on his knees saying, ‘You don’t gotta go get,” he added, then sharing his final words to his friend. “‘Rest man, I got you. I got your kids but you got a lot of kids.’ I think he was looking down laughing at that one.”

Superior also revealed what it was like to see DMX in such a hard state at the end of his life. “It was hard to see him laid out like that, but how I saw it is the world couldn’t hurt him anymore. People were always taking his money, using him, misusing his funds, smiling in his face and then talking bad about him.”

“After he blew up and got the big record deal, the first thing he did was give money to fix a church’s roof,” Superior told The Sun. “It was like $2 million. But the church never got it. Whoever handled the money messed it up.” He went on to say, “X didn’t worship money. It was never about that for him. It’s sad talking about X. We lost a legend. Look the impact DMX had on the world. He came from nothing and built himself up.”

As HipHopDX reports, the “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” rapper left behind a total of 15 children and a fiancée, Desiree Lindstrom, along with countless adoring fans. RIP.

After yet another loss last night, it is clear that the Los Angeles Lakers are in complete and utter disarray right now. The team cannot seem to keep things together right now, and if you’re a fan, you have to be concerned about whether or not this is a team that can actually make it to the finish line. Of course, many of their problems have to do with the fact that they have lost players to the COVID-19 protocols imposed by the league. The roster is inconsistent and it has led to chemistry issues.

The team is allowed to sign various players to 10-day contracts as a way to stop the bleeding, and so far, Isaiah Thomas has been part of those plans. Today, it was announced that the Lakers signed two more players to their roster, including a veteran who they’ve wanted for a while.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Darren Collison and Stanley Johnson will both be on the roster, for the immediate future. The Lakers wanted to get Collison back in 2019, however, he was adamant that he was done with basketball. Now, he will make his triumphant return to the court, and fans are hoping this is the burst of energy the team needs to get things back on track.

Just last week, it was revealed that Kyrie Irving would be allowed back on the Brooklyn Nets roster, for away games only. The team had originally said that they would not be allowing this to happen but with COVID-19 ravaging the team, they decided that it would be best for the roster if they allowed him to return.

Unfortunately, immediately after returning to the club, Kyrie had to sit on the sidelines due to a positive COVID-19 test. This ultimately delayed his return, and put his status for Christmas Day in question. Now, the Nets are set to go on a road trip before the end of the year, and many are wondering if the Nets will let Kyrie tag along.

According to reporter Dave Early, Steve Nash confirmed today that Kyrie will not be on the Nets’ latest road trip. With that being said, fans should only expect him to return in early January. After all, as soon as the Nets return home, Kyrie cannot be used at all. It’s an oftentimes overlooked factor that will certainly play a huge role in when he will finally be able to suit up in the Nets’ black and white uniforms.

Over a series of nine pictures, Saweetie shows off her body and her new haircut as she relaxes under palm trees and wades through the ocean. When sharing the post, the Icy Girl didn’t reveal the reason as to why she cut her hair, but she did address her new look with a flood of emojis, including a bald woman’s head, a palm tree, a flower, a water drop, a woman doing yoga, sparkles, and her signature snowflake.
