There is no place for misogyny and racism in 2022. Following a verbal altercation with Dallas-born rapper Asian Doll on a recent episode of the Fresh & Fit podcast, a video has resurfaced showing the co-hosts Myron Gaines and Walter Weekes discussing why they prefer not to date Black women.

“I mean, hey bro, if you wanna date a bunch of Shanequa’s, go for it,” said Myron Gaines in the clip while speaking about the dating app BLK. “Me and Fresh [Walter Weekes] aren’t really down with the brown like that, being night riders. Sometimes if they’re redbone, but I mean, in general, me and Fresh don’t dabble in the dark, if you know what I mean.”

Social media users have been reacting to the resurfaced clip since last night, calling for the Fresh & Fit hosts to be de-platformed. The podcast is described as the number-one show for men to learn about women, finances, fitness, and more. However, people have pointed out a disturbing pattern of the hosts disrespecting Black women, who usually make up the majority of their panels, following the debacle with Asian Doll, which prompted the rapper to calmly walk out and leave. 

In response to the outrage from the resurfaced video of Gaines and Weekes talking about how they don’t like dating Black women, they spewed more racism and misogyny, saying, “When it comes to dating and your personal preferences, no one bats an eye when women say they want a man that’s six feet tall, makes a certain amount of money, blah blah blah, those are considered preferences. But if I say, hey man, I don’t date Black girls like that. ‘Oh, God! How dare you?'”

“My mom’s Black, my sister’s Black, like bro, we just have a preference,” chipped in Weekes.

Gaines went on to ask, if he hates Black women, would he continue to bring Black women onto his show? A Black woman on the panel immediately tried to interject and he shut her down, disrespectfully motioning to her with his hands and saying, “Let me finish.”

Maybe what the hosts of this podcast need are a few months off from the show so they can learn how they’ve contributed to misogyny and heal from their traumas. Not dating Black women isn’t a “preference,” it’s just racist.

LeBron James is 37 years old and he is still one of the best players in the entire NBA right now. It’s strange to think about but LeBron has been in the NBA since before George W. Bush finished his first term as the President of the United States. LeBron has been going strong for that long and if you’re a fan of his, then you know that he has never let his feet off the gas. 

While this season has been difficult for the Lakers, LeBron has managed to keep things trucking. Including last night’s game against the Sacramento Kings, LeBron has put together eight-straight games in which he has scored over 30 points. On Tuesday night, LeBron put together a 31-point performance all while securing a win that put the Lakers above .500.

After the game, LeBron was feeling good about the win and as a result, he decided to take to Instagram where he posted a couple of highlights from the game. Clearly, LeBron is still very eager to do some damage this season, and with the Lakers getting off to a rough start, he is hoping to turn things around in the early going of 2022.

“IMA WHAT??? PROBLEM!!!!” he wrote.

The Lakers ended up winning by eight points and it was by no means an easy game for them. Luckily, however, they had LeBron to get them over that hump. You can check out the highlights from the game, down below.

He’s once again become a social media pariah after it was confirmed that Tristan Thompson fathered a child outside of his relationship with Khloé Kardashian. The NBA star has been the subject of numerous cheating allegations, as well as accusations from women who claimed he is the father of their kids. While a paternity test about a young boy previously proved Thompson was not the child’s dad, a DNA test of Maralee Nichols’s newborn confirmed paternity.

Khloé has found herself at the center of it all as she receives support from those who empathize with yet another cheating scandal, but the reality star mogul has also been the subject of negativity from people who don’t know why she stays with Thompson.

The couple parents three-year-old daughter True Thompson and although they present a happy family, Thompson’s antics have often blurred that persona. He recently penned a lengthy apology to Khloé, acknowledging that she doesn’t “deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.” After the note went viral, Maralee Nichols issued a formal statement to PEOPLE. Thompson initially denied that he was the father of her child and even reportedly filed a lawsuit against her.

“There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichol’s baby,” her representative reportedly said. “Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”

Nichols previously stated that Thompson told her he was “single and co-parenting” with Khloé. The new mom shared a sneak peek at her and Thompson’s baby over on her Instagram. Check it all out below.

It’s unclear why Shekinah Jo Anderson decided to rehash her beef with T.I. and Tiny, but she’s back to spill more alleged details about her ex-friends. There were apparently already incidents behind the scenes that caused the trio’s friendship to fray, but when Shekinah jumped into the conversations about T.I. and Sabrina Peterson, things took a downward spiral. 

After a few social media explosions last year, things have been relatively quiet as it pertains to Tiny, T.I., and Shekinah aside from the lawsuit they’ve all been named in, but while on Livestream, the latter once again brought up secrets about the Hip Hop couple.

During her rant, Anderson suggested that T.I. had something going on with Bernice Burgos and alleged that Tiny wanted Shekinah to fight the model. Clips of the Live quickly circulated throughout social media, once again thrusting Tiny and T.I.’s names back in headlines. 

After going viral, the video didn’t go unnoticed by Tiny. 

“If you don’t have proof that whatever you be talking about is working for you man do everyone a favor and shut yo ass up,” she penned on her Instagram Story. Unsurprisingly, Tiny did not tag or mention Shekinah at all, but the public has accepted this as her response to her former friend’s recent antics.

Breakups are difficult enough, but divorcing someone while also ushering in a new year can be incredibly taxing. Recently, Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin announced that they’re divorcing after nine years of marriage, and the news came as a shock to their supporters. Over the years, the Christian couple has been open about their relationship as they spoke about waiting until marriage to have sex, and they even co-wrote a book together. 

Franklin and Good did share a statement about their split, saying they still have love for one another, but they also posted individual messages about their thoughts as they walk into 2022.

We previously reported on Good’s Instagram post, but Franklin also penned a few thoughts over on his page. The author and preacher uploaded a tearful selfie that he said he took months ago. He detailed his journey without specifically naming his ex-wife.

“I’m not much of a crier so in a moment of deep pain and peace, I took this picture. It captures best how I feel,” wrote Franklin. “I share this with you because it is the most honest way to start this year. I know we are starting a new year yet I don’t wish you a Happy New Year…I wish you a Happy True Year. Why? Because just because it’s NEW doesn’t make it TRUE.”

After more affirmations and a prayer, Franklin added, “I am fully in pain and peace as we start 2022 and that’s the truest place for me to be.” He also shared that he’s taking a break from posting on social media while he figures things out. Read through the message below.

They portray hilarious parents on Black-ish, but in real life, things weren’t always so jovial between Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. The pair of veteran actors have known each other for some time, but things went left back in 2005 when they were both appearing at the Vibe Awards. In an interview Parade magazine, Anderson recalled rubbing Ross the wrong way.

“We laugh about this now, but Tracee didn’t like me for maybe 10 years!” he said. “We hosted the Vibe Awards [in 2005]. As we were walking onto the stage there was a loud sound over the speaker, and I said, ‘Tracee? Did you fart?’ The audience loved it, but what I did not know is how offended Tracee was by that comment.”

Although they worked together after the embarrassing incident, Ross maintained the tension in 2011 when Anderson was featured on her show, Reed Between the Lines.

“When it came time for my close-up, she would leave the stage like, ‘The stage is Anthony’s!’ ” he said. “I thought Tracee was just showing me the utmost respect as an actor. I was like ‘Oh, my God, I’ve never been treated like this before! I was a guest star on her show, and she was just giving me her set!’… Well, looking back on it, she didn’t want to be around me! She really didn’t start liking me until we were midway through the first season of Black-ish, and so we laugh about it now.”

Anderson now calls Ross a close friend and says that he would do anything for her. “We work the same, we learn the same, we are there for one another, and we have the ability to work with such fearlessness when we’re together because we know that we will never allow the other to fall.”

Despite him being locked up, Renni Rucci has been going hard for Foogiano. The couple has often boasted about one another on social media and maintain their love for one another, regardless of the circumstances. Foogiano was arrested and hit with federal gun charges, and while there were rumors last year that he beat his case, the 1017 rapper remains behind bars.

Back in November 2021, Foogiano penned a message about Renni Rucci being solid as he mentioned that there were people who abandoned him in his time of need. “I love you more than I know how to explain . There are no others ,its just me and you and I’m fine with that. They talk but they don’t know. My Queen ! My Fiancee!” he wrote at the time.

On Tuesday (January 4) evening, Renni hopped on Twitter to once again brag about Foogiano and their love for one another.

“I love the way my man love me it’s crazy because he makes me feel this way and he not even here one thing about it he gone step behind me his words and actions he don’t play about me,” she said. “They really be trying it talking about ‘jail talk’ ‘a n*gga say anything behind them walls’ but never acknowledge that his mouth has not said one thing his actions did not match… he gone step behind me PERIOD [clapping hands emoji].”

Rucci also recently lost her mother and she revisited their relationship, stating that she is glad they were able to reconcile their differences while also sharing a memory that involved her rapper fiancé.

“My mom came on my first date with Foo with me and it was New Year’s Eve 12-31-20 she loved him from the beginning I’m happy the man I’m spending my life with my mom got to meet and love she got to see me get engaged and help me start my plans I understand the timing of things now.”

They teased some sort of collaboration last year, and while fans expected it to be music-centered, Saweetie and Cher have finally revealed their big secret. While at the BET Awards, Saweetie revealed, “Me and Cher are working on a really big campaign. I can’t share too much because of contracts.” At the time, the newly-bald rapper also shared that meeting the Pop icon derailed plans for the release of Pretty B*tch Music.

“I thought [the album] was done, but after I met her, I had an epiphany,” said Saweetie last summer. “This album needs to have feelings, it needs to have soul, it needs to have spirit. And I have a lot of room for improvement, so I’m gonna work on that. And once it’s done, the album will be released.”

Earlier today (January 4), Saweetie unveiled their partnership and the two women have joined for a MAC Cosmetics ad. In their commercial, Saweetie asks Cher how she manages to stay ahead of the game and the music legend highlights her style.
