Kanye West & Julia Fox’s Relationship Is “A Ploy To Get Under Kim Kardashian’s Skin,” Source Says

Kanye West and Julia Fox’s relationship may not be as glamorous as it seems, according to Page Six. A source has informed the outlet that the 44-year-old’s new romance is nothing more than “a ploy to get under ex Kim Kardashian’s skin,” inspired by the reality star’s connection with Saturday Night Live‘s Pete Davidson following her separation from West.

“It’s a desperate play for attention,” the source has said. “There’s no other explanation when he chooses [Fox] to go public with.” Another person with reliable information has been insisting that the father of four is “in pain” from watching his wife move on with the comedian, which is why he’s acting out.

“He publicly fights for his family back, and then he’s linked to all these different girls,” the source pointed out. “It’s very strange.”

In case you missed it, Fox and her new man did an incredibly interesting photo shoot for Interview Magazine during one of their recent date nights. The mother of one also wrote a short essay on her luxury love story, in which she gushes about the Yeezus hitmaker surprising her with a hotel room full of gorgeous designer garbs for their night out on the town.

“It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment,” the Uncut Gems actress penned. “I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time… Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!”

Things have certainly been moving fast for the couple, who reportedly met on NYE and have been inseparable ever since. When their relationship was confirmed, a source referred to them as “kindred spirits” – read more about that here and let us know if you think that Kanye and Julia are the real deal, or just trolling Kim and Pete below.

The Weeknd & Tyler, The Creator Join Forces On “Here We Go… Again”

The Weeknd delivered After Hours right as the pandemic struck. Though the album was a highlight of 2020, the Toronto crooner didn’t get the opportunity to hit the road or be outside, as he initially intended. He continued to tease a new body of work since then and on Friday, he blessed fans with Dawn, FM.

Laced with a slew of collaborators, including Jim Carrey and Quincy Jones, The Weeknd also collides with Tyler, The Creator for their new collab, “Here We Go… Again.” Leaning into the dreamy soundscapes that The Weeknd’s been engulfed in these past few years, Tyler, The Creator dives into the 80s-infused production with a page taken from Andre 3000’s book.

“I got mad love for Tyler, the Creator, and what he’s doing right now,” The Weeknd said of Tyler back in September. “Tyler is funny, man. I remember he came to one of my performances—I think it was like a festival performance. And he was very vocal about how ‘Starboy’ was his favorite song at the time. You can tell he’s waiting for the song. I could see him. As soon as the song happened, he’s like, ‘All right, cool. Thanks.’ And he just peaced out. It was pretty funny. But he’s somebody that I really admire, because he wears his feelings on his sleeve.”

Quotable Lyrics
We don’t need the government involved because we like to touch
We don’t need no damn religion tellin’ us that we in love
But if we did crush down the road, spendin’ lawyer fees up
Pen and pad gon’ save my ass if these feelings freeze up

Cordae Teases Unreleased Song & Music Video With Juice WRLD

Over the past few months, Cordae has been steadily building momentum towards his upcoming studio album, From A Bird’s Eye View. Single’s for the project include his 2020 hit with Roddy Ricch titled “Gifted,” October’s “Super” and the most recent promotional single “Sinister” with Lil Wayne, released in December.

The album is set to drop next Friday (Jan. 14), and he most recently dropped a freestyle to get fans ready for the project, as he took inspiration from Kendrick Lamar on “FABEV Freestyle (The Heart Pt 4).” In the track, he reminisces on the time he opened for Juice WRLD on tour: “Been this way since my preconception (Uh) / Before a lethal weapon (Yeah) / Before I would tour with Jarad Higgins (Uh) / Bеfore I was trippin’ / Before I еxited mental prisons.”

In light of this, a fan asked him on Twitter if he and Juice ever collaborated on a song, and Cordae responded that they only have one unreleased song together, which they also shot a music video for: “Yep we only made 1 song together though. We shot a video for it 2 haha.”

While the tracklist for From A Bird’s Eye View has not been revealed, fans are hoping that this collaboration will make it onto the ablum, but that has not been confirmed. Juice and Cordae seemed to have a solid friendship, as there was a video included in the recent HBO Juice WRLD documentary of the two jamming out to XXXTentacion’s song “F**k Love” at Rolling Loud.

Also, there is a video that exists of Juice and Cordae free-styling impressively together on their tour bus, presumably the tour Cordae referenced in his FABEV freestyle.

It is unclear if this Cordae and Juice WRLD song will ever see the light of day, but with all the Juice WRLD posthumous music that has been released lately, it is surely a possibility.

The 10 Best Nike LeBron 9 Colorways Of All-Time

When LeBron James moved to Miami to play for the Heat, there was a very obvious shift in the color palettes being used for his signature sneakers. Of course, Miami is a very vibrant city, and for decades, the waterfront vacation destination has been synonymous with the neon-bright lights of shows like Miami Vice and video games like GTA: Vice City. LeBron and Nike were well aware of the situation they were walking into, and they decided to take full advantage by coming out with shoes that matched the immaculate vibes of the city.

The Nike LeBron 8 was LeBron’s first shoe with the Heat, and his second was the LeBron 9, which first dropped back in 2011. Last year, the Nike LeBron 9 received numerous retros, and just the other day, it received the ultimate throwback as Nike released the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne.” This is a shoe that fans had been clamoring for over the past few years, and it was finally time for the Beaverton brand to give it the retro it so rightfully deserved.

With this shoe making its way to the market, fans have been debating which LeBron 9s are the greatest of all time. It’s a fair debate to have, especially since more retros could potentially be on the way. With that in mind, we have compiled a list of our 10 favorite LeBron 9s, and we’re sure this will lead to quite the debate in the comments section down below.

Nike LeBron 9 “China”

To kick off this list, we have the Nike LeBron 9 “China,” which was meant to pay tribute to the Year of the Dragon during Chinese New Year. The base of the shoe was a gorgeous vibrant blue, while the Nike swoosh was orange. From there, the tongue had a yellow and orange dragon print that added some cultural significance to the sneaker. Overall, this is a colorway that fans still talk about, because Nike and LeBron truly knocked it out of the park with these.

Nike LeBron 9 “Taxi”

Nike

Based on the name of the shoe, you already know what time it is. This model is known for its taxi-like aesthetics as the upper is covered in yellow and black, as well as some white. These colors always look very good together, and this is no exception on the LeBron 9. Sure, there is no story here, but there doesn’t always need to be when the shoe is simply nice on its own merits.

Nike LeBron 9 “Christmas”

During the early 2010s, Christmas shoes were all the rage. Fans just could not get enough of the Christmas-themed basketball shoes, and this LeBron 9 was a very obvious product of that. As you can see in the image, the shoe is mostly covered in red, while the swoosh is silver and the laces are green. The Christmas spirit is quite evident on this shoe, and while it might be a novelty, it remains one of the best LeBron 9 models to ever grace the market.

Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon”

From the two-toned blue upper to the orange Air Max unit on the bottom of the silhouette, the “Cannon” colorway is one that sticks in the memory of sneakerheads. Sure, it’s not the loudest shoe, or the most popular for that matter, however, it is definitely unique. These kinds of colorways were quite trendy at the time, and while they don’t get much love now, it’s important to pay homage to the real ones. Hopefully, we can see a retro of this in the future.

Nike LeBron 9 “Summit Lake Hornets”

Nike

For those who may not know, Summit Lake is where LeBron James got to play middle school basketball. The team was called the Hornets, and with this LeBron 9, James got to pay homage to his earliest days on the court. With that in mind, it was destiny that this would immediately be an immaculate colorway. From the purple upper to the teal Nike swoosh and midsole, this colorway is simply perfection on a pair of shoes. It’s a fun sneaker and the story behind it ultimately makes the shoe that much better.

Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Nights”

Nike

While Miami is known for its more vibrant colors, it is also known for being a great hot spot for nightclubs. The Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Nights” was a way to give fans the best of both worlds, as we are met with an upper that is preoccupied with black, grey, and chrome aesthetics. From there, the shoe has pink laces and a purple Nike swoosh, which ultimately helps bring in those more vibrant elements. It’s a shoe that isn’t very loud, although, given the history of the LeBron 9, it is certainly a refreshing change.

Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes”

Nike

While playing for the Heat, LeBron was constantly coming through with shoes that related to the city and its various institutions. One such sneaker was the Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes” which is wrapped in the team’s black, white, green, and gold aesthetics. The shoe is pretty self-explanatory as it represents one of the most beloved Universities in the state. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this model, although good luck getting your hands on it.

Nike LeBron 9 “Big Bang”

Nike

During the 2012 All-Star Game, LeBron James was able to make a massive statement as he flexed the Nike LeBron 9 “Big Bang” offering. This is a shoe that was made specifically for All-Star weekend, and it truly popped on his feet. As you can see, the shoe is completely wrapped in a bright orange glow that contains two distinct tones, all while the Nike swoosh and other elements are given grey coloring. What makes this shoe special for fans is just how vibrant it is. At the time, LeBron wanted to be loud with his shoes, and this was the culmination of that philosophy.

Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne”

Nike

What more can be said about the “Watch The Throne” model. This shoe was created as an homage to the Kanye and Jay-Z album of the same name, and for the most part, it was extremely limited with very few people getting their hands on them. What made this shoe really pop was the gold crown lace lock on the front, which was complemented by some colorful patterns that lined the tongue and the inside of the shoe. From there, the sneaker possessed a black upper and a gold Nike swoosh, which played into the whole royalty motif. It was a fantastic model, and the latest retro certainly did it justice.

Nike LeBron 9 “South Beach”

Nike

Any colorway called “South Beach” is an automatic cheat code. As previously mentioned, Miami is known for its neon turquoise and pink aesthetics, so it is only natural that LeBron would use this as a motif on his various releases. This LeBron 9 has always been considered as one of the best versions of this shoe to ever hit the market, and it is easy to understand why. From the clean grey upper to the teal and pink highlights that engulf the shoe, there is plenty to love here. Not to mention, these shoes came with different colored laces, which led to some pretty nice mismatched looks. If you were playing basketball back in 2012, there is no doubt that this is a shoe that you and all of your teammates wanted for themselves.

Let us know your Nike LeBron 9 model, in the comments section below.

Antonio Brown Responds To Asian Doll Shooting Her Shot

It’s been a hectic week for Antonio Brown. He stormed off of the field in the middle of the Buccaneers vs. Jets last Sunday, prompting his removal from the team. Many questioned the state of AB’s mental health, including Tom Brady who urged people to show a bit more compassion. Then, AB went on to put coach Bruce Arians on blast for allegedly pressuring him to play while he was dealing with an injury.

In the midst of the frenzy that occurred after the Buccaneers game, Asian Doll was shooting her shot on Twitter. The Dallas, TX rapper playfully spun the “Bing Bong” challenge as she attempted to catch AB’s attention. “Wassup, Antonio Brown take me out to dinner,” she wrote on Twitter, before her ex-boyfriend Jackboy chimed in on the matter.

Unfortunately for Asian Doll, Antonio Brown maintains his status as a monogamous man. The football player recently sat down on The Texas Talk podcast where he was asked about Asian Doll’s recent tweet. The co-hosts attempted to identify the rapper, claiming that they do not know who she is before Antonio Brown shut them down completely. “Don’t ruin my segment with no girls right now, bro,” AB said. “Listen, I’m a hot boy. I’m a chocolate guy in America. Who don’t want that?”

He continued, “Ladies, I’m taken. Relax, I’m on reserve right now. I got a lot more things than women right now so let’s get that clear.”

Playboi Carti Comes Out With His Own Action Figures

Playboi Carti’s 2020 Christmas album Whole Lotta Red has become one of, if not the, most impactful hip-hop albums of the past year. With fiery trap production and Carti’s unique, ad-lib heavy flow, WLR has left its mark culturally and sales wise.

The album has not only already achieved RIAA Gold status, but was also listed No. 1 on the Rolling Stones 2021 Hip-Hop Albums of the Year list. Although Carti teased its follow-up NARCISSIST in early fall 2021, he has not released any music since.

Instead of music, it seems that Carti has been working on a different creative endeavor: action figures. On Thursday (Jan. 6), photos began to surface of new Playboi Carti action figures in different outfits. The photos were originally posted by the Instagram page for Carti’s label Opium, but have since been deleted.

A video also surfaced of the box the figurines would come in, where it displays the “Red” logo Carti has used for his WLR album.

It is unclear if the action figures are singular and have different clothes you can mix-and-match them with, or if there are a few separate figures. It currently appears that they will not be for retail sale, and likely just an aesthetic project for Carti.

The project reminds fans of when Travis Scott created an action figure of himself to use for the rollout and album cover for his 2015 debut album Rodeo. These fans took to Twitter to brainstorm what they would do if they were able to get their hands on a collectible Carti.

Do you think you would buy a Carti action figure if they were for sale?

Houston Rapper D-Bando Has Reportedly Died Of COVID-19 Related Causes

Houston’s own D-Bando has tragically passed away after a battle with COVID-19, HipHopDX reports. The “See You With Nothing” artist is said to have passed away on Wednesday, January 5th, and in the days since we’ve seen thoughtful tributes from the friends, family, and fans he left behind begin to pour in across social media.

DJ Young Sam, the official engineer of Slim Thug, shared a portrait of D-Bando to his Twitter page, writing “RIP D-Bando. We had more work to do homie! May God watch over your kids.” He then dropped off a link to the hitmaker’s Apple Music page, encouraging his followers to “go stream” his late friend’s works.

Prior to his demise, D-Bando had an eventful 2021, working with artists like Big Pokey and assisting Quality Control’s Lakeyah with production on her song “Upset” from her My Time record. In the past, he’s also linked up with Money Man on “Rush” back in 2019, which quickly became a fan favourite among his listeners.

“Damn man I was a big fan of his music,” one user replied to DJ Young Sam’s post. “One of the realest ones out tha city,” and “Good dude that was as solid as they come,” others added, praising the late star’s character.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only COVID-19 related death that the hip-hop community has been hit with as of late – Kollege Kidd founder Raysean Autry also recently succumbed to the virus, which you can read more about here. RIP.

Azizi Gibson Calls On Freddie Gibbs For “Hate To Say It”

Azizi Gibson is one rapper that deserves a quick vacation. The rapper has been putting in work, consistently delivering at least one body of work each year, along with a slew of singles. Gibson closed out 2021 with the release of This Is Not An Album. This Is A Killer Playlist Vol. 1 in November but a little less than a week into the new year, and he popped out with some new heat.

This week, Gibson shared his latest single, “Hate To Say It” ft. Freddie Gibbs. Setting the tone for the year, the rapper’s soothing baritone delivery meets dreamy, jazzy production that perfectly compliments the melodies layered across the record. Gibbs slides through on the final verse, doing what he does best with razor-sharp flows and vivid imagery of the lifestyle of a player.

Cardi B & Kanye West To Film A Music Video At Miami’s Balenciaga Store: Report

Kanye West and Cardi B are shutting down the Balenciaga store. A new report from Page Six Style reveals that the two hip-hop stars are set to film a music video at the high fashion brand’s Miami Design District location – which Ye and his good friend Future recently shut down for a shopping trip – next week.

It’s unclear what song the rumoured project is for, or exactly what the Yeezy creator’s involvement in it is, but the mother of two does have plans to release an album in 2022, and West has been closely working with the Demna Gvasalia-led company for some time now.

Just a few days ago, the father of four leaked photos of a contract to his Instagram page, teasing a “Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga” collaboration dropping in the near future, which has sparked a lot of conversation online.

Interestingly enough, the “Heartless” hitmaker’s new flame, Julia Fox has been spotted wearing garments from the fashion house a lot since their whirlwind romance began just a few days ago. When the couple went to see “Slave Play,” the Uncut Gems actress wore a Balenciaga nylon and spandex top, paired with a $2,350 Croc-embossed Hourglass bag.

Page Six Style also notes that, following her first dinner date with West, she was spotted rocking a bikini from the Spanish fashion company on the beach in Miami while being tailed by paparazzi.

Speaking of Fox, she and the father of four seem to be hitting it off incredibly well. “At the restaurant, Ye directed an entire photoshoot for me while people dined! The whole restaurant loved it and cheered us on while it was happening,” the 31-year-old recalled of one of their date nights together – read what else she had to say about being spoiled by her new boyfriend here.
