Despite his circumstances, he’s able to stay in the studio, and fans have benefited the most. He dropped off Sincerely Kentrell in September before he was released, and then capped off 2021 with his long-awaited collaborative project with Cash Money co-founder Birdman, Live From The Bayou

YB’s YouTube page remains a goldmine for new music, and on Friday, he blessed fans with his latest effort, “Emo Love.” The rapper doubles down on his rockstar phase, delivering a record that brings out his vulnerable side as he details the plethora of emotions he’s dealt with in recent times.

Stole my heart, don’t know where you run or you from
You left me alone with fire in my lungs
You just left me to burn, baby

Ari Fletcher’s Savage X Fenty Partnership Reportedly Dropped Following Her Domestic Violence Comments

Ari Fletcher’s questionable comments during her appearance on the Don’t Call Me White Girl podcast are continuing to land her in hot water. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, fans have been speculating that Rihanna has likely cut off the 26-year-old’s brand deal with her lingerie company after publicly “making light” of domestic violence.

In case you missed it, the mother of one sat down for an interview during which she opened up about her relationship with Moneybagg Yo, and how the “Time Today” rapper has helped her grow up and let go of some of her more toxic habits. At one point, Fletcher admitted that she used to have a habit of throwing temper tantrums and acting as if she was about to leave in hopes of having a man pull his gun out and intensify the situation.

“Like, pull your gun out and show me like, ‘bitch leave. I wish you would walk out the door,'” she explained to her friend when recalling an ideal fantasy. While Fletcher and the podcast host laughed during their conversation, listeners at home didn’t have the same reaction.

As clips from the interview began receiving attention online, video vixen Apple Watts harshly and publicly called out the Chicago-born socialite for what she said. “Ari, like, you’re beautiful, but bitch! Humble yourself,” the Love & Hip-Hop: Miami star ranted on Instagram.

“You’re like a tampon, so stuck up. We get it! You got money. We get it. But you ain’t gotta be an asshole to bitches who got beat up by n*ggas. Bitch, you ain’t got beat up before or something! Because you need to humble yourself. A bitch with money. This how you know project bitches get money.”

Many people have been praising Rihanna for taking such quick action (if the rumours are true, that is), while others couldn’t help but bring up 36-year-old model Draya Michele, who also had her Fenty sponsorship snatched following her comments about the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez shooting incident.

Others still came to Fletcher’s defence, offering up the opinion that her “kinky fetish” has nothing to do with her work as an Instagram influencer.

Elsewhere in the Fenty world, Rihanna announced that later this year she’ll have five brick-and-mortar locations opening across the U.S. to sell her lingerie and other Savage collection products – read more about that here, and check back in with HNHH for more updates on Ari Fletcher’s deal with the billion-dollar brand.

Soulja Boy Reintroduces Himself On “They Call Me Draco Baby”

2021 was the year when Soulja Boy made his formal comeback, three years after debating whether Tyga had a bigger return than he did. In 2018, it’s safe to say that Tyga had it on lock but last year, Soulja Boy returned to the limelight. The release of “She Make It Clap” helped im return to the top of the Billboard charts while Adult Swim expressed their appreciation for his single, “Rick N Morty.”

The rapper is apparently keeping the momentum up into 2022, despite revealing his intentions to dive deeper into Hollywood. On Saturday, he shared his latest single, “They Call Me Draco Baby.” The rapper’s latest single leans more on the poppy side as Soulja flexes on his naysayers.

Check out the latest from Soulja Boy below.

Quotable Lyrics
They call me Big Draco, baby
I hit the block, now I’m going crazy
I hit the block, runnin’ up Mercedes
I’m in a ’22 Mercedes

Young Dolph’s Accused Killer Says He’s Turning Himself In

The death of Young Dolph was among the many tragedies that struck the rap game in 2021. The rapper was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis, TN at a local cookie shop before reportedly heading to a turkey drive in his community. Fans have mourned his death while authorities continue to try to arrest suspects.

Police ID’d 23-year-old Justin Johnson as a suspect in the case and issued a warrant for his arrest this week. The Internet quickly did a deep dive, revealing photos of Johnson wearing a Paper Route Empire pendant, and also hanging out alongside Dolph at the club. Police are still trying to apprehend the suspect but he’s maintained his innocence.

Johnson went to Instagram where he declared his innocence in the case and revealed that he would be turning himself in to the police. “Turning Myself In Monday @201 I’m Innocent I’ll Be Back Sooner Than You Can Blink,” he wrote.

The message arrived moments after he shared a video from local news that detailed his rap sheet. The video also included an interview with a judge from Shelby County, TN who explained that he was impressed with Johnson’s behavior behind bars. “Next time post the REAL… BS ass Blogs,” Johnson wrote.

Though he’s turning himself in on Monday, it’s not hard to imagine that local authorities are still on a hunt to have him in cuffs before then.

Fivio Foreign Responds To Kevin Durant Showing Him Love

As Kevin Durant has matured and grown in the NBA, his ventures have expanded far beyond the confines of the court. Along with business explorations, KD has launched his own podcast, where he has brought on guests like Kyrie Irving, Draymond Green, Roddy Ricch, Lavar Ball and plenty more.

In his pod’s latest episode, he and his co-host Eddie Guerrero were the only speakers, as KD was stuck at home due to COVID protocols. At one point in the episode, KD gave a huge shoutout and co-sign to Brooklyn drill rap leader Fivio Foreign: “Fivio is just… every time I hear his shit, I feel like I’m a Brooklyn drill [rapper]. I just be in my seat moving like one of them. He’s just so nice with it. That drill shit, Fivio got it. He got it, man.”

Durant continued by recalling when he met Fivio at Rolling Loud a few years back: “He’s just a star. I remember meeting him [at] Rolling Loud, before all of this — 2019 Rolling Loud; I was still injured. He only had that one song out… I was like, ‘Who the hell is this kid with 20 people on stage?!’ But the song is fire! The dances is crazy! The ad-libs is sick! Like, ‘Bow! Ay ay!’ I’m like, ‘Damn, who is this dude?!’ So I met him and all he kept doing was saying like, ‘Viral. Viral. I’m going viral. Everything viral.’ I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, he got it.’ To see him elevate right now, man, I’m happy for him. I want to see where he can take it.”

Fivio soon caught wind of this shoutout, and showed gratitude and appreciation for KD on Instagram. As he reposted the clip from the podcast and a photo of the two together, Fivio called them “best friends,” and offered Durant a sneak peak at his upcoming album The Bible: “I remember 2019 rolling loud like it was yesterday @easymoneysniper but I ain’t think da big dogged remembered dats shit hit me for real.. Keep workin yu neva kno who watching! Ayo but @ dis point we like best friends. Pull up on me listen to da Album gang.”

DJ Kid Capri Reveals He Tested Positive For COVID-19: ‘I’m Pretty Far From Good’

The highly transmissible Omicron variant has caused a spike in COVID cases all over the world. It’s been particularly bad in the United States. Earlier this week, the nation recorded over a million positive cases in a day — the most in the country over a 24-hour span. One person who was hit with a positive test this week was legendary hip-hop DJ and producer Kid Carpi, who shared the news on Instagram and was honest about his condition.

“I’m sick as sh*t man,” he said in a video. “Y’all gotta be careful out there, man. Y’all be careful ’cause it’s bad out there. I’ve been sick for the last three days. F*cking head is pounding. Back hurt. I’m pretty far from good.” He then issued some advice and a warning to those who listened to the video. “I just wanted to pop on here and tell y’all take care of yourselves, man,” he said. “F*ck them parties. F*ck hanging out. If you ain’t gotta be somewhere then don’t go. Just relax, ’cause this sh*t is no joke.”

Capri concluded, “Every shirt I put on, I sweat it out. The lady just left here to give me my test. I had the home test, she came over here and tested me. F*cking head is pounding. But like I said, man, just stay out the way. Take care of yourself out there because it’s serious. Sh*t is serious.”

Jack Harlow Brought Pete Davidson Onstage During A Recent Show — And He Even Rapped A Verse

Pete Davidson is everywhere lately. Dating Kim Kardashian, co-hosting a New Year’s Eve special with Miley Cyrus, and now, rapping alongside Jack Harlow at his recent LA show at The Novo. Yes, that’s right, Pete can rap. Well, it’s not that surprising since he’s a natural performer and has years of experience hamming it up in all kinds of roles on Saturday Night Live, but if his stint onstage at Jack’s show was really off the cuff, and not rehearsed, then he’s definitely a bigger fan of Jack’s music than any of us knew.

Fans caught video of Jack bringing Pete up onstage during his rendition of “SUVs (Black On Black),” and Pete seemed to know every word when it was his turn to take the lead. He’s also a great hype man, as it turns out, ad-libbing and boosting up Jack’s performance in the meantime. It’s worth noting that Pete’s friendship with Jack predates his relationship with Kim, and the pair did a skit together during Jack’s appearance on Saturday Night Live last year. But hey, Pete, might as well strike while the iron is hot — drop a rap album and see where that takes him? He might have to check with Kim first on that one, though. Check out the video above.

Kash Doll & Tracy T Welcome Their First Child, Kashton Prophet Richardson, Together

Tracy T and Kash Doll have joined the parents club. The two recording artists welcomed their baby boy – named Kashton Prophet Richardson – on January 6th at 9:36 PM, according to Baby Names.

The “No Lames” rapper first shared the news of her pregnancy in September of 2021, dropping off a series of tasteful nudes that showcased her growing bump. “The Lord just keep on blessing me,” she wrote at the time. “Look it’s a baby in there, and today it’s the BMF premiere. I’m so overwhelmed with joy.”

When sharing the good news, Kash Doll didn’t hold back on expressing her joy. “Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life,” she gushed. “(I’ve never felt this way before y’all, somebody finally have me wrapped around his finger,” the 32-year-old admitted, adding that her baby boy has “[stolen] her heart.”

The photo shows the tiny child wrapped in a Versace blanket, a full head of dark hair gracing his head. “His ears brown y’all,” the new mother commented along with a grinning emoji. She’s also created an Instagram account specifically for Kashton (@babykashrich), which has yet to see any posts but will likely soon be updated with adorable content.

Before little Kashton’s arrival, the Detroit-born star faced some criticism for her name of choice, with people calling it things like “ghetto”. In response to the haters, she said, “if whatever it is [is] ghetto, so what? I’m ghetto. I’m from the hood. Let me be ghetto in peace!”

“It’s always the broke and bothered,” Doll ranted after reading the slander. “And here my dumb ass goes, rich and bothered. Why am I letting these broke and bothered people bother my rich ass? I’m crazy! I think it’s because it’s my kid.”

Tracy T has also been showing off his family’s new addition – see what he uploaded to his story earlier this week below.

Vince Staples Links With DJ Quik Ahead Of New Album

2021 saw Vince Staples at his finest musically, releasing the brief, yet impactful self-titled album in the summer. The album is widely considered as one of the best of the year in hip-hop, as his menacing bars over well-produced, toned-down instrumentals make for an intriguing project.

Now, it appears that Vince is ready for the follow-up. Staples’ next album is titled Ramona Park Broke My Heart, as he revealed in a recent interview with Desus Nice for GQ’s May 2021 issue: “It just sounds nice. I don’t think it makes sense to be too heavy-handed with certain things. Music is so subjective. So with that, it was just part of my thought process at the time: What symbolism can I throw in here that can be taken as a direct thing? What does this mean? What does this sound like? It’s all based on personal tastes.”

On Jan. 1, Vince revealed on Twitter that Ramona Park Broke My Heart was near completion, and required the legendary DJ Quik to put the finishing touches on it: “This album is done if I can get @djquik.”

DJ Quik is famed for his work with Tupac, 50 Cent, JAY-Z, Snoop Dogg and more. It seems that Quik got the message, as he and Vince soon linked up in the studio. Quik posted to Instagram a photo of him, Vince and another artist named David Blake: “@davidblakejr_ @vincestaples @djquik in the Michael Jackson room @westlakestudios”

The studio they met in is in Hollywood, CA, as Quik referenced it was the place Michael Jackson recorded his classic 1982 album Thriller. It now seems as though Vince Staples has another album on the horizon.
