Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders is getting love from his peers with another big matchup on the way. Ahead of the Alabama Crimson Tide’s next matchup against No. 13 Ole Miss, coach Nick Saban showed love to Coach Prime.
Speaking with ESPN, Saban revealed that he was able to catch the matchup with Colorado State, saluting the work that he has done.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders,” Saban said. “First, he’s a great person and he’s done a great job of marketing the program to create a lot of national interest.
“But I see their team playing well on the field. They play with discipline, they do a good job of executing, they’ve been able to score points, playing decent on defense. So all those things, to me, are indicators that he’s a really good coach.”
Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes are still the hottest names in college football. Colorado hosted Colorado State and pulled off the come-from-behind overtime victory. Now the Buffs are headed into Eugene, Oregon, for a matchup with No. 10 ranked Oregon Ducks led by Bo Nix.
TickPick, the popular ticket marketplace, has reported a remarkable surge in demand for this week’s Oregon-Colorado college football showdown. The Buffaloes’ recent victories over Nebraska and Colorado State have ignited excitement among fans.
Before the season commenced, the average purchase price for this game stood at $93. However, the period from September 11th (following Colorado’s win over Nebraska) to September 18th has witnessed an astonishing 131% increase, with the average purchase price now at $215.
What’s more, the current average purchase price for the Oregon-Colorado game is a staggering 115% higher than Oregon’s home game average ($100). This contest has become the most expensive Oregon ticket of the season, with a “get-in” price of $216, surpassing the matchup against USC ($183). Notable purchases include four tickets in Section 9, Row 37, selling for $398 each, totaling $1,592.
Remarkably, the game is pricier than 14 out of 16 NFL games scheduled for Week Three, with only the Bears-Chiefs and Raiders-Steelers matchups costing more.
Additionally, fans travel from afar to witness the Buffaloes in action, with 10% of all purchases coming from Colorado. The full breakdown of zip code data reveals strong support from Oregon, California, Washington, and more.
For those seeking premium seating, Section 12, Row 7 offers tickets at $718 each.
