As much as Khloé Kardashian has been denying the existence of a romantic relationship in her life, all signs are pointing toward a reunion between her and Tristan Thompson. The athlete has been regularly caught double-tapping his co-parent’s Instagram selfies as of late, and they both attended Malika and Khadijah Haqq’s birthday party just last week. On Monday (March 13), the Canadian celebrated his 32nd trip around the Sun, which earned him a heartfelt tribute post from his ex.
The last year has been rocky for the former couple, with Kardashian finding out about yet another of Thompson’s infidelities while awaiting the birth of their second baby together via surrogate. While he previously shared a smooch with Kylie Jenner’s ex-BFF, Jordyn Woods, this time around he hooked up with Maralee Nichols, who wound up pregnant and opted to keep the baby. She welcomed a little boy, Theo, late last year, and so far, the Canadian seems to be mostly out of the picture.

In wake of that (somewhat) shocking news, reports came forward stating that the mother of two had no interest in a romantic reconciliation with Thompson. However, he’s since bought a house located incredibly close to Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, shortly before the death of his own mom, Andrea Thompson, in early 2023. Immediately upon hearing the news, the co-parents came together to fly to Toronto where they mourned their unexpected loss.
The tragedy seems to have brought them closer together and given the basketball star a new outlook on life. In a heartfelt tribute to his fallen angel, Thompson apologized for any embarrassment he may have caused while also promising to become better and grow. According to Kardashian’s annual birthday tribute to her children’s father, he seems to be following through with his commitment. “Happy birthday @realtristan13. You are truly the best father, brother & uncle,” she wrote in her caption.

Throughout the accompanying photo dump, we see several photos of Thompson with three of his four children, the one he shares with Nichols notably missing. “Your love, attention, silly dances, hugs, carpool rides, bedtime rituals, the way [you] show up for them. All of the above means more than you’ll ever know to your family of littles,” she praised the man of the hour.
Afterward, the Good American founder seemingly addressed the elephant in the room – her endless ability to forgive her former lover, no matter how badly he hurt her. “My birthday wish for [you] is that [you] continue to crave change, healing, and transformation. Be strong, be kind, be patient, be free. Continue to make your soul and your mommy proud. Happy birthday, baby daddy,” she ended her heartfelt message.
