Jamie Foxx’s Next Project Will Be Hosting “We Are Family” Game Show With Daughter Corinne

Despite the conflicting reports surrounding Jamie Foxx’s health over the past few weeks, the multi-talent’s family is making it abundantly clear that he’s doing fine – and is looking forward to the future. It’s now been over a month since he suffered from a serious “medical complication” (now said to have been a stroke) in the midst of filming his upcoming Netflix project. While we haven’t seen new photos or heard from Foxx directly, his Instagram feed recently lit up with a post reassuring fans that he’s improving amid claims that family and loved ones have been preparing for the worst.

Though the Ray actor’s relatives have kept mostly quiet throughout all the drama, his daughter, Corinne, recently dispelled some of the hurtful gossip circulating. “Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support,” she wrote on social media last week. Even though he’s apparently back on his feet, Jamie and his daughter have opted to take a break from hosting their game show, Beat Shazam together as he works toward healing.

For now, Nick Cannon will take over those duties on their behalf, and according to Deadline, the Foxx’s have even bigger plans for the future. In 2024, their next project, We Are Family is set to launch. The outlet reports that the game show will feature “non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member.”

We Are Family will feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed,” a synopsis further explains.
