Get ready for new music from Memphis’s latest star, GloRilla. The rapper has been carefully climbing up the charts thanks to help from Yo Gotti and her CMG team. The world watched as “F.N.F.” was all the rage on TikTok, easing its way into other social media spaces and expanding Glo’s visibility. Soon, her fanbase grew, and before anyone knew it, she collaborated with hitmakers like Cardi B.
We’ve even seen GloRilla take to the Grammy Awards stage earlier this year during the tribute for Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary. It’s been a meteoric climb within the last year, and now Glo is preparing for another takeover—this time alongside Lil Durk. The Chicago rapper is hailed as a Drill icon, and hearing these two on wax will set the internet on fire. GloRilla teased the collaboration on Instagram by sharing a video of herself dancing to the track. Although we only received a snippet of the single, commenters were already dropping off praise.
GloRilla Drops The Release Date
In the clip, Durkio unleashes about his past romances. He talked about his exes hating him and even mentioned his record label attempting to pay for a fake relationship. It could all just be bars, but Durk and his ex India Royale have been a topic of conversation in recent days. “Say @lildurk dats how you feel ,” GloRilla wrote in the caption of her post. “NEW MUSIC TOMORROW 9am/12pm est !!!!”
New heat from Glo and Durk is a good way to settle into the middle of the week; however, the Memphis star has been at the center of controversy. GloRilla and Finesse2Tymes performed at a Rochester, New York, concert before things turned tragic. It’s reported that at the end of the show, a stampede occurred, causing a surge in the tight-knit group. There were claims that people began rushing to the doors for safety because gunfire rang out. However, an investigation did not uncover evidence that shots were ever fired.
Victim’s Family Plans To Sue
Three people died due to the stampede, including a woman named Brandy Miller. Her sister spoke with TMZ about how their family has dealt with such an unforeseen tragedy. According to Michelle Miller, the family plans to sue GloRilla and Finesse2Tymes, as well as the venue, Main Street Armory. Further, both rappers expressed their grief over the incident.
